Having nothing else left for her to do, Roselyn decided to head to her class since there were only less than ten minutes left for her to find the classroom.
She tried to recall the directions that Xander had given her the previous night for finding each of her classrooms but unfortunately, it seemed like she had already forgotten about them.
Letting out a sigh, she tried to look through the halls to see if she could find some sort of help but somehow, the higher she was moving in the building, the fewer students she was seeing on her way which made her question if she had already come further than was required.
She was moving through the dark empty halls on the third floor when a very uninvited person appeared in her vision as he walked out from the shadows of the hall. She couldn't tell if he had been already waiting there for a while or if he had just teleported there. Still, neither of these two provided her any comfort as she wasn't happy to see him at all.
To be very honest, she wanted all the four shadow men currently involved with her, to stay as far away from her as possible.
She tried to ignore him and just walk past him but her plan failed poorly as the man literally wrapped his arm around her belly to pull her back to rest against his chest, and just like this, she was locked in a back hug with the vampire who was the reason of all her ongoing problems.
"Good morning, Little fae. It's been a while since we last met. I missed you a lot." His whispering voice next to her ear sent shivers running down Roselyn's body but in a way, she least appreciated or even wanted.
"Get your dirty hands off me, vampire!" While she was clearly fuming because of his actions, her words did nothing but amused the vampire as he chuckled softly next to her ear. His warm breath once again fanned her earlobe which made her close her eyes and suppress another shiver that was ready to show just how vulnerable her body was against his advances.
"I have a name, Little fae. You can try using it." He whispered to her as he tightened his arms around her, making Roselyn struggle to get away from him but in her current condition, she was no match to him either magically or physically.
She gritted her teeth as she spat back at him. "You sure have the nerves to say that to me considering you love calling me by your chosen sick nicknames." She was getting angrier as her body couldn't help but react as the one holding her in his arms was actually her blood mate, whether she liked it or not.
Kaito chuckled again as he suddenly made her turn his arms and before Roselyn could have found an opening to pull away from him, he was already locking his arms around her waist as he crushed her body against his own. "The nicknames I use for you are all filled with my love and affection for you. Can you say the same about yours?"
Roselyn closed her eyes to get her stupid soul and body in control. Looking at the vampire's face was even more lethal than him whispering sweet nothings in her ear.
"Kaito, just let go of me. I have barely six minutes left to find my class. I don't have time to waste with you." She tried to reason with the man as she noticed the time on her wristwatch. She wasn't really expecting him to listen but to her surprise, he actually removed his hands from around her and took a couple of steps away from her to put some space between them.
"If that's the case, let me help you." Kaito offered with a cheeky grin on his handsome face.
"No thanks." Roselyn was in no mood of getting any sort of help from someone like him. Who knew what sort of trouble his help would result in?
She was about to walk away from him and move ahead in search of her class when his next words stopped her in her tracks.
"You have barely five minutes left and considering you seemed to have no clue about where your classroom is, you should be taking any help that comes your way. After all, you won't want to turn up late for your very first class on the very first day of the Academy. Right?"
It was definitely a very idea to bring everyone's unnecessary attention to her on the very first day of the Academy by turning up late for the class. However, Roselyn couldn't help but give it a quick thought only to shake the idea off. She should be staying away from attention as much as she could which meant she needed Kaito's help at the moment.
Taking in a deep breath, she turned to look at the vampire who was standing there with a smug smile on his face that irritated her beyond words. Still, she kept her irritation hidden as she spoke, "Fine. Can you help me?" She hated asking for his help. It sounded worse while saying the words out loud compared to how the thought sounded inside her head.
The smile on Kaito's lips only stretched further as he spoke, "You finally know when to give in. Great! I will help you but I have a condition."
Roselyn narrowed her eyes at the vampire, not liking the direction the things were leading to. "What condition?" She still asked trying to remind herself just how little time she was left with before the start of her first class.
Kaito moved closer to her and then leaned his face closer to her. His warm breath fanned her face as he moved his mouth next to her ear and whispered something.
When he pulled away a couple of seconds later, Roselyn's beautiful amber eyes were glaring fire at him but she didn't refuse whatever he had asked from her in exchange for his help.
"Alright, since you have accepted my condition, let me show you the way to your classroom."
