A massive block of earth englobed him, with lots of spikes and completely surrounding him. Those spikes didn't pierce Zelhart, but they were meant to immobilize him.
For a second, there was Zelhart with more than a dozen mages of rank S using all they have, not caring about mana at all. Those blasts and impacts from the spells even caught part of the army that was not that distant from him.
But nobody stopped, and at that moment Zelhart realized how powerful he became. He could see everything as if it was in slow motion, and his grey skin became darker with him injecting dark energy into his muscles.
The barrier between dark energy and Qi was finally broken, enabling him to convert his mana into Qi at will fully.
