Learning To Love

"Mommy, I am going to see Hagrid," he said and ran off. Loki looks. "You just going to let him run off?" he said. I look. "He knows where he is going, and Hagrid is a good man," I say, walking with him. Snape walks out, picks up his thoughts, and looks. "Tell that thing of a son to stay away from my classroom," he says and leaves. I almost lost my shit. Loki grabs my wrist. "Lavender, stop. He isn't worth it. Your son is amazing, and you are an even better mother," Loki said, kinda of confused about why he was being so kind suddenly. He glances at the hand he placed on my arm, and the markings are fading into his skin. His body relaxes, and he finally feels calm. "What is?" he mumbles. I look. "Loki, you alright?" I touch his shoulder and stop feeling a pull to him, like our souls are calling for each other.

I look at him, wondering if he felt it, too. Loki touched his chest. "What that?" he asks.

"our souls are bonded. It's rare in the magic world, but it happens," I say. Loki swallows and nods, and he laces his hand in mine. I squeeze his hand. Atlas ran up, holding a baby unicorn. "Mommy, look, Hagrid said I can keep her. Can I, Mommy, please?" he begged. Loki bends down to see the baby unicorn. "They are real," he said. Atlas nods. "Want to hold her, Loki?" he asks. Loki slowly takes the baby unicorn. I sigh, seeing the two boys I love. "Yes, we can keep it," I say. Atlas hugs me. "Thank you, Mommy." I nod and smile. "Mommy, can I go to the lake?" Atlas asks. "Not without an adult," I say. Atlas grumbles "I can take him," Loki said. I nod. "I will finish my delivery and meet you there," I said. Loki kisses me fast, and before I can respond, they are gone. Loki walked Atlas to the lake and watched him. Atlas was playing in the water. "Be careful. Don't go too far out," Loki said. Atlas nodded. "Okay, Loki," he said. Thor lands. "Brother looks like this was good for you," he said. Loki groans, hearing Thor's voice, "What do I owe this pleasure of intrusion," Loki said with an annoying tone. Atlas was looking at Thor. Thor looks at the child. "Little one, hi, I am Thor Loki's brother," he says. Atlas cocks his head to the side. "The one mommy calls stupid," he said. Loki snorts a laugh. Thor looks. "I am not stupid," he said. Atlas raised an eyebrow. "If mommy says it, it's true," he said. Thor sighs. "Has mommy told you look like a girl?" he said. Loki stood up. I walk over, slapping Thor. "We are fine, leave," I say. Thor left. Atlas hugs Loki tightly. Loki hugs back. "It's like Mommy says you're just extra cute; don't listen to him," he said. Atlas nods
