The plan

Deep in the damp and musty sewers, a group of Jinns gathered. "I've found it, the perfect vessel," said one of the Jinns, a man-like figure with a sly grin on his face. "Really? Are you sure you're not just saying that because you're hungry?" replied another Jinn, dressed in white robes.

"I'm positive. His soul is pure and filled with sadness. It will definitely give our Jihui power and make it stronger," said the first Jinn. "But let's observe him a bit more. He can detect us easily, which means his senses are strong." The Jinn with flaming eyes spoke up, "Gai Ma, you are the shadow. Go and observe him."

The Jinns continue to discuss about their plan to take over Ray's body, as Gai Ma, the Jinn in charge of observing Ray, slipped into the shadows and began to stalk him from afar. The atmosphere in the sewers was tense, as the Jinns eagerly await for the perfect opportunity to possess Ray's body and gain immense power from his pure and sad soul.

"Before we make our move on this 'perfect vassal', we must also consider our other plans," said the Jinn with the flaming eyes, his voice deep and menacing. "We have been searching for the ancient artifact, the one that seal Jihui away. It is crucial that we find it soon and use its power on that boy so that Jihui can take over his business body."

The other Jinns nodded in agreement, their expressions serious. "Yes, the artifacts is of the utmost importance. But we must also be cautious, as there are those among the humans who possess the ability to sense and combat our powers," said the Jinn wearing a white garment.

The Jinn with the man-like appearance sneered. "But they are no match for our strength and cunning. We have been around for centuries, manipulating and possessing the weak-minded. These humans are nothing but mere mortals to us."

The Jinn with the flaming eyes raised a hand to silence the others. "Enough. We must focus on our goal and not let our arrogance cloud our judgment. Gai Ma, you will continue to observe the vassal and report back to us. The rest of you, continue searching for the Artifact. We must not let any obstacles stand in our way. For our lord Jihui."

The Jinns nodded " For our Lord Jihui!" and dispersed, leaving the Jinn with the flaming eyes alone in the sewers. He let out a low chuckle, his eyes glowing with a sinister light. "Soon, the human world will belong to us. And no one will be able to stop us."

***************

Ray sat on the roof of the building, staring out at the city skyline. Sophia sat beside him, her eyes fixed on the same distant view. They had been talking for hours, discussing the recent encounter with the Jinn and what it could mean for Ray's safety.

Suddenly, David appeared on the roof. "Guys, we have to talk," he said, calmly while thinking of the right words to say. "It looks like they're after you, Ray. Something about your body being a vassal loke you said."

Sophia's eyes widened in alarm. "What do you mean? The Jinn's are after him?"

David took a deep breath, trying to calm Sophia. "The Jinn. They're after Ray's soul or to be specific the body that is containing the soul. They think it's pure and strong, and they want it for their own purposes."

Ray felt a chill run down his spine. He knew he was in danger, but he never thought it would be this serious. Sophia put a hand on his shoulder, trying to comfort him.

David continued, "We need to lure them out. We need to use Ray as bait."

Sophia's face twisted in anger. "No way. I will not put Ray in danger like that. We'll find another way."

David shook his head. "There is no other way. We need to let them come after us. We been trying to find them and there has been no lead."

Ray sat there, listening to the back and forth between Sophia and David. He knew they were both right. He couldn't just sit back and wait for the Jinn to come after him. He needed to take action. But at the same time, he couldn't put Sophia in danger either.

"I'll do it," he said finally. "We'll make a plan. But we have to make sure that none of my friends get hurt , whatever happens protect them , I will do what I can to lead you guys to their base."

Sophia looked at him, her eyes filled with concern. "Are you sure about this, Ray?"

Ray nodded. "I'm sure. We have to protect ourselves and our loved ones. We can't let the Jinn win."

David smiled. "That's the spirit. We'll make a plan, and we'll take those Jinn down. For now Sophia will watch over you "

As they sat there on the roof, the three of them made a plan to take on the Jinn and protect themselves and those they love. They knew it wouldn't be easy, but they were determined to succeed, no matter the cost.

***********

Ray sat in class, trying to focus on the lesson but his mind kept drifting to the Jinn and their recent encounter. He couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched and it made him uneasy. As the class ended, he made his way to lunch where he met up with his friends Don, Fatima and Xie yi.

"Hey guys, what's up?" Ray greeted them as they sat down at their usual table.

"Not much man, just excited for the party tomorrow!" Don exclaimed, his eyes lighting up at the thought of it.

"Yeah, I might even wear something party-like for once," Xie yi chimed in, eliciting chuckles from the rest of the group.

"You? In something party-like? I doubt it, you'll still look tom-boyish," one of their classmates teased.

Xie yi rolled her eyes and playfully punched the classmate on the arm. "We'll see about that," she retorted.

Ray couldn't help but smile at the light-hearted banter between his friends. Despite the looming threat of the Jinn, he was grateful to have them in his life. They were a constant reminder that there was still joy and laughter amidst all the darkness.
