Liane Rou stood frozen staring at the both of them. 1st, it was the young mistress of the Zhou family and now the C.E.O of the leading gaming company!?. Just how did things end up this way?

She was eager to know what connections they have but as crazy it may seem she asked the first hunch she got, "Sarah Lee, are you and Mr. Chen dating?".

She smiled, "besides it wouldn't be much of a shock since you are worthy of being one of the campus crushes back then, your charm can't be compared".

Sarah Lee didn't take it or see it as a compliment even, she had a feeling that Liane Rou was cursing her as if she was the mistress.

Sarah Lee smiled, "No, I am nothing compared to you. And just so you know, me and him are nothing but acquaintances.

Being pointed at as nothing but an acquaintance, Noah Chen wanted to flee and just hid inside a box, was she embarrassing him on purpose?

When he clearly just wanted to help her out, all she could do was play along then everything would be fine but expectedly she didn't. He just stood there beside her silently.

Liane Rou laughed in response, " You're too humble" and decided to shut her mouth.

Unexpectedly, it was Jasper Kim who opened his mouth to speak. "We are currently going to eat. Do you want to join us?".

As for the 'you', he meant to talk about both Sarah Lee and Noah Chen.

Sarah Lee could only ask him in his mind how he is unable to find his actions weird. Who would even dare to ask his ex-girlfriend and a man to join them eat with his new girlfriend. Surely, the way his brain works is from other planets.

Sarah Lee was about to reject but Noah Chen beat her to it saying, "We already made appointments".

She turned to him and stared with an obvious question in her face, "We did? When!?".

He opened the car door and waited for the girl who was still staring at him to get inside. He's already giving her an escape, does she not want to accept?. or was she scared of him?

When his hand was about to get numb from holding the car door's handle, that girl walked towards him, didn't say anything and got in.

He then smiled secretly and went to the driver's seat. The car drove off leaving the cheating couple wondering what relationship those two have.

The car seat was very comfortable so Sarah Lee was able to relax on the seat. But then she remembered one worry she got and that was how and why did she even get into a stranger's car in the first place!?.

Although she wanted to strangle and beat Jasper Kim to death for often appearing in her life, this man driving gave her escape before she could even do those things.

He didn't seem suspicious nor is having the aura of a bad person, so she calmly said "thank you".

"You might have already guessed who those two could be so if it wasn't for you, a fight would really happen.". After saying those things, she then stared at him while he's driving. "I don't know who you are and why you appeared before me earlier to help me out but thank you".

Noah Chen was focused on driving so he stopped on the side of the road and briefly introduced himself except for the part that they have met before.

"and if you really want to thank me, then treat me to a meal", he smiled and took out his phone, "What's your phone number?"

Sarah Lee was taken aback with his sudden question, asking for her phone number before laughing dryly as she took out her phone, "09xx-xxx-xxxx".

Does this man not understand that she was just being courteous. She only wanted to thank him and yet he wanted a meal from her.

While entering her phone number, Noah Chen grinned and spoke, "Are you free tomorrow? If you are then lets have it tomorrow".

"Oh, Ok", Sarah Lee put her phone back into her handbag. She then thought that after asking, he immediately want to have it tomorrow, is he afraid that she will run away from her debt?

although she didn't actually agreed to treat him to a meal, after thinking for a while, she realized that she did not even agree to his request at all. Why was this man getting too full of himself?

Judging from how he looks and how he owns a car like this one, why is he insisting on having a pitiful meal?
