Stupid Billboard

Kiera had to go on a business trip. So, she was packing her things before ensuring the work here was properly done. Unfortunately, she can't be here on the launching date of Annabelle's book.

Anna threw tantrums since she had heard about her business trip. But all her blackmail to make Kiera stay here was in vain. This was a very important trip. So, it can't be postponed.

Kiera herself didn't want to leave Annabelle knowing her anxiety about the book launch. But their company was planning to secure a very important business deal and all the responsibility was given to her. She was indeed capable of this difficult job but right now, her friend needs her. Not being here with her on a very important day was a bit unfair to Anna.

But what could she even do when her boss himself kinda forced her to handle this as there was no one more suitable than her for this job? Alas, this is unavoidable.

Kiera was going through here and there thinking about Anna in her mind when suddenly her phone rang.

"Hello…...?"

Kiera answered the call without even seeing the caller as she was busy in her thoughts.

"Cut this drama and pick me up at 5."

This time, Kiera took her phone against her eyes to see the caller ID. It was her cousin. Gosh! She totally forgot that her cousin was coming today from Canada.

This cousin of hers is really scary when someone is not punctual and breaks their promises. But she was so busy these days and so totally forgot that she promised to pick him up from the airport today.

For God's sake!

Her flight's also gonna depart at 5. This shit can't get any shittier. Moreover, she had no relatives living in this city and her cousin was also supposed to stay here at her apartment. This business trip was so sudden that she even forgot to inform him about it.

Now? What is she gonna do?

After a long pause, Kiera again put her phone against her ears to hear her cousin's scolding. She is someone who is feared by all but he was the only one in the whole world that she actually fears. This guy and his super demonic aura… she just can't tolerate these that much especially when he is made angry by someone.

"Ummm…. Look, bro, I forgot to tell you that I am going on a business trip today. But you don't have to worry really. I have someone to pick you up from there."

"Who?" a short question with a commanding voice came from the other side.

Holy shit. She doesn't have any idea who the hell she's gonna convince to pick him up. Suddenly something came to her mind.

"My friend…... Anna. Annabelle. She is gonna pick you up from the airport."

"A girl?" There was a deep sigh after that and nothing else.

"Hey, mind your tone. She is my friend. She is not just someone weird. Don't worry. Just land safely. I am gonna take care of this side. Bye."

The person did not bother to say goodbye but hung up the phone. This cousin of hers is only 30 days older than her but treats her like a teenaged kid. This brat has no manner, Kiera thought. Never in her life has she heard him calling her sister or politely talking to her. But she still liked him better than other cousins of her because he was not clingy like others. He was kinda different and had a menacing aura around him since childhood. That was one of the reasons Kiera feared him since then.

"So, the only thing you have to do is hold this billboard and drive him to my apartment."

"And what if I don't do as you told me to?"

"Nothing! Just pay me back my precious time and mental peace." Kiera was referring to the other day when Anna stood the Chief Editor up. Though the matter was somehow resolved by her, she still held a grudge about that.

"When did I steal that from you huh?"

Kiera stepped on the break and looked at Anna. There comes her nagging self, Anna thought. Annabelle flinched a little instinctively.

"Should I make you remember how you stood the chief editor up that day?"

Suddenly Annabelle felt guilty. She truly did something wrong at that time and she is quite mindful of that.

"Aish, that was my bad. I told you so na? What could I do? It just slipped from my mind."

Kiera smiled devilishly. It was quite creepy, Anna thought.

"You don't have to do anything. Just do me this favor. Pick my cousin up from the airport and drop him at my apartment."

"But I don't even know his name, how can I pick him up? And what if he recognizes me?" Anna panicked as she was planning to chill out at home today after dropping Kiera at the airport. How can she ruin her chill time?

Kiera grinned.

"Don't worry, that guy never heard a single melody in his life let alone your songs."

Annabelle was dumbfounded. It was true there were a lot of people who didn't listen to her songs but still, they at least knew that she was a singer. Maybe this guy is not into English songs? But still, it's strange not to even hear her name or see her face in magazines, right? Or was he a minor a few years ago? Didn't Kiera mention that he was her older cousin? Did she hear wrong? Arghhh… whatever.

"Okay, I get it. But it would be better if he is not any weird or trash adult."

"Hehhe, don't worry. He is not like that. He is just like you; it is just so bothersome for him to even look at any stranger woman who doesn't have any particular business with him."

"I see, it's good then."

*Damn, Anna! Why are you such a pushover? *

Annabelle thought, holding a tacky-looking pink billboard in her hands which Kiera forced her to hold. Kiera probably found her seat by now inside the plane.

Todays supposed to be her girly day and here she is holding this weird-looking billboard in this shitty weather. People around her were also giving weird looks at the billboard. Anna sighed.

*Bitch Kiera, just came back. You are gonna pay for this buhuhu*

All of a sudden, some young girls holding their own billboards around Anna started to scream as if they had seen any ikemen in front of them. Anna didn't bother to look to whom they were behaving like this. It's getting more crowded; she has to be careful. She tugged her hoodie lower and covered her face properly. Now all done, no one's gonna recognize her in this way.

Shit, that's why she hates crowded places. She had to cover her face like a weirdo in hot weather like this which is the worst. Suddenly she felt someone touch her shoulder. She flinched by the touch and looked up to see the person who touched her.

OMFG! Anna's mouth became wide open after seeing the person.
