The next day in the college, Susan notices Jake waiting for her at the entrance. Suddenly, she felt shy recalling her last night Jake's cute gesture of pecking her cheeks and greeting him after reaching him, "Good morning."
He wished to hug her but stopped glancing at Katie by her side and wished her in return, "Good morning."
Jake asked her, "Let's go out for breakfast," while walking into the college, Katie left her morning class.
Susan rejected him, saying, "I can't miss today's class," and walked away, saying, "Let's meet later." Jake nodded.
Aaron saw him being excited and approached him, "Is everything sorted out with Susan?"
"I think so."
Aaron patted his shoulder and said, "I am going to class. Are you coming or not?" Jake nodded, followed him to class, and tried to concentrate on the lectures, but he couldn't as he kept looking at his wristwatch.
Aaron asked Jake, "Do you have any plans?" after seeing Jake's constant attention on his watch instead of lectures.
"Lunch with Susan."
"Oh! Thinking on passing this lecture soon and rush to her."
The professor left after finishing his class. Jake grinned at Aaron, packed his things in his bag, and was about to rush for Susan's class.
Jane stopped him by calling, "Wait," about to ask him for lunch. Jake ignored her, saying, "I'll talk to you later, bye." Jane seems to be hurt by his ignorance toward her.
Jake gets into her class and sees her packing her bag, helping her pack her things. He holds her hand and takes her with him.
Meanwhile, Katie met her on their way, stopped them, and asked Susan, "Don't you have class in the afternoon session?"
"I don't." She replied.
"Let's go shopping with me to buy a birthday gift for Aaron."
Jake informed Katie, "we planned to go for lunch."
Katie pulled her hand against her saying, "she will go with me."
Jake argued with Katie, grabbing Susan's hand and saying, "She will go with me."
Susan was fed up with their argument, brushing their hands off her and speaking, gazing at Jake, "Sorry, I'll go with Katie." Jake was upset. Katie smirked at him, clung onto Susan's hand to tease him, and walked away.
Jake stood still and swore at Katie inwardly for not letting her go with him. Aaron saw him standing alone and asked, "Are you not getting late for your lunch date?"
Jake replied furiously, "I think you should spend more time with your girl so I get some time alone with Susan. She was always glued to her and protective. Didn't allow me to get close to her."
Aaron smiled at him and said, "Fine. I'll talk to her. Let's go have lunch together." By putting his hand on Jake's shoulder, and left.
In the evening, Jake went to meet Susan at her store. He saw Eve at the counter and glaring at him. He reached Colt, ordered his pastry, and looked around for Susan. He asked Colt, "Where is Susan?"
Colt replied to him, "She is inside. Shall I call her?"
"It's fine. I'll wait." Seated in the chair and noticed how Eve was staring at him furiously. He is enjoying his pastry, ignoring her glare.
Meanwhile, Darren walked into the store, and Eve clung to his hand and said excitedly, "I missed you. Get inside. Have a seat. I'll call Susan." She went to the kitchen to call Susan.
Darren saw Jake was there and took a seat in front of him. Jake said to him, "Surprised to see you close to Susan's sister."
Darren replied with a smile, "Yeah. She likes me a lot."
Evelyn got a pastry for Darren and offered him to taste it by saying, "Taste it, bro. Susan baked it."
Susan exited the kitchen and saw Jake and Darren sitting with them. Susan asked Darren, "Aren't you busy? Morning, you informed me you're busy today with a full schedule. How you came here?"
Eve asked innocently, "Did I disturb you, bro? Sorry, I didn't know you were busy."
Darren replied, patting her head, "I missed you too. So, I came to visit you as I got your call."
Susan looked at Jake. He was seen to be upset to see Darren over there and close to Eve. Darren asked Eve and Susan for dinner. Evelyn agreed to go with him.
Susan glanced at Jake, seeing him upset. Jake said, "Fine, you guys carry on with your plans. I'm leaving." Looking at Susan, he walked out frowning.
Susan followed him out and stopped him, saying, "I'm sorry."
Jake said, "Why were you sorry? I want some time to talk with you."
Susan understands his anger, hugs him gently, and comforts him by rubbing his back, "calm down." Jake hugged her back and relaxed his rage.
She relieved him and said, "I have to go." Jake asked, "Are you attending Aaron's birthday party tomorrow?"
She nodded to him with a warm smile and left by saying bye. Jake went, hoping to talk to her tomorrow and confess his feelings.
Darren took them for dinner at a fine restaurant. They enjoyed their dinner, and he dropped them at her home.
After getting inside, her mom asked Susan, "Where did you guys go?"
Eve replied, "For dinner."
Her mom asked Susan looking at her, "Is he your boyfriend?"
Eve answered vaguely instead of Susan, "I hope he could be." She left for her room upstairs.
Her mom told Susan, "We planned a dinner this weekend to get to know each other eventually and accept them as family." Susan nodded in her acceptance and dismissed.
