It had been a few days since Jake saw Susan, as everyone was busy with exams. After finishing exams, he decides to talk to her, but she leaves college quickly.
Jake reached his room, kept missing her, and was willing to talk to her, he gave a call to Susan, but she didn't receive his call. Aaron entered his room and asked him, "Why do you look upset?"
Jake laid back on the bed and replied, "I feel tired."
Aaron suggests, "Let's go out to get relax."
Jake suddenly straightened and implored, "Have you asked Katie about Susan and Darren? Were they together?"
Aaron sits next to him, "I didn't. Kaite was certain that they were together." Jake was upset to hear him, and Aaron continued seeing his saddened facial expression, "I saw that you were keeping distant from her.
"It was her ignoring me. I tried to talk to her."
"If she is ignoring you. Why don't you approach her? If you continue to sit idle instead of taking action. She won't know your feeling until you confess to her unless you let her go to Darren."
"I don't. I will go to her and talk to her." Jake thanked him and left to visit her.
Jake reached the bakery, parked his car, and entered the shop, shocked to see a girl dressed in a school uniform stealing money from the counter. Jake approached her and pulled her ear, and shouted, "Susan! Anyone inside, come and see, this girl is robbing money from the counter.
The girl screamed, "I'm not a thief. Leave me, idiot. It hurts. Leave!"
Susan rushed out to discover what had happened and why Jake was shouting. She was stunned to see Jake pulling Eve's ear hard. She reached them and told him, "Leave her. She is my sister."
Jake relieved her ear and stared at her, saying, "Are you Susan's sister?"
Eve replied, outraged, rubbing her ear with pain, "Indeed. Who the hell are you?"
Susan told Jake, "Mom was out of town, Colt was on leave, and Phil went out for deliveries. I asked Eve to help me today. She returned here directly from school without changing." Jake felt awkward because of his misunderstanding and saw Eve glaring at him.
Susan asked them to sit and talk. They settled in their seats, and Susan introduced them to each other.
"I misunderstood."
"It's fine," Susan said.
"How could it be okay? My ear hurts. I need a proper apology." Eve reasoned.
Jake smirked, "Why do you apologize? I don't believe that it's my mistake. I have never seen you in the shop and thought you were robbing. I'm trying to help."
"Arrogant. Susan, I wish I could punch him in return." Lifting her hand from Jake.
Susan stopped, holding her hand and calming her, saying, "It's just a misunderstanding. Let it go."
Eve said, "Fine. Just for your sake."
Jake thinks about how rude she is, unlike Susan, and how they can be siblings; both are opposites.
Eve returned to the counter and starring at Jake furiously while Susan asked him, "Have you come to buy desserts?"
Jake replied, looking at Susan, "I came to visit you. I have something to say."
"What's that?"
Jake was about to say the customers came into the shop. Susan looked at Jake, and he said, "I'll wait. You finished the work." She left to handle the customer.
Eve noticed him stealing glances at Susan as she was busy with her work and trying to help her in packing. After finishing her work, Jake offered to drop them at home, and she agreed.
As she gets off the car, Eve gets inside. Susan thanked him, "Thanks for the lift. Sorry, Eve is a kid."
"No worries. Both of you guys are different."
"We love and care for each other." She noticed his hesitation and asked, "you said you have something to say."
"Nothing, we can talk later." Susan was about to walk toward her home, but he suddenly stopped her saying, "Susan! Wait." She stopped her step and turned back to him.
Jake reached her and asked her the question, which was given him a headache for a few days, "Is it true? Darren was your boyfriend."
Susan smiled at him and replied, "who said that? Is it Katie? She misunderstands us. We are good friends."
Jake was relaxed and happy to hear that they were just friends. He held her hand in his and said, "Thanks."
Susan was confused why he was thanking him, staring at him. He leaned and kissed her cheek, "good night." She was surprised.
"Let's go out for dinner tomorrow." She was stunned and stood without reply to him. As she didn't reply, he repeated, "will you have dinner with me, right?" She nods in acceptance. He left in his car saying, "see you tomorrow, bye." Eve saw him kissing Susan from her room window.
Susan got to her room and saw Eve waiting for her in the room to talk. Eve asked her, "Is he the person you like?" Susan nodded to her.
"Are you guys dating?"
"Not sure."
"I don't like him. He is rude and arrogant. You deserve the best."
Susan smiled at her, reached her, and patted her head, saying, "Sleep well. Don't worry about me." Evelyn gets upset knowing she chooses Jake over Darren. In her mind, she thinks, if she chose him, I can't object to her as I wish her happiness.
