David was watching his next prey, the grass buffalo like a hawk.

From some of the reports, although it seemed quite weak from the name, depending on where it is, it's even stronger than most D rank adventurer's, or it could be as weak as a goblin.

Since it was in the grasslands, even if David was stronger than D-rank adventurers, he didn't really know his limits, and being safer rather and sorry would be a great option right now.

Because of the resonance the grass buffalo has with its familiar area, it sensed David and looked in his direction.

David quickly went back into the tall grass and used his {Elemental magic} and {Magic Control} to disguise himself to make him less suspicious from suddenly cutting his mana signature off.

"I can't waste this chance, there must be tons of other buffalos nearby..." As someone who did like to travel on his breaks, he's seen many different animals, buffalo packs, lions, giraffes, and tons of other animals, getting some basic information about their behavior.

Seeing as his disguise was broken, sensing that the grass buffalo was now walking towards him.

"If it has any similarities as a normal African buffalo, its senses should be quite bad..." David had taken a look at the buffalo earlier, and some of its body does share that of one of the subspecies of one of the buffalos back in his world.

Trying his theory out, David had replicated a lion's aura, memorized from those he killed around 30 minutes earlier, not including the time he was dismantling them.

With the aura of a rank 2 mutated lion, it scared the buffalo, making it turn tail.

Seeing that it was getting ready to run, David was already behind it, with his claws out.

Casting {Earth Claws}, his range increased and so was his strength, quickly swiping the buffalo into pieces, decapitating its head, cutting off the limbs while also leaving the entire torso clean.

David had also felt a small increase of strength in his body, but it was quite small, so he ignored it as it was the same as killing any monster that didn't make him level up immediately.

"Mn... I should aim for that if possible..." David muttered to himself, looking at the direction the bull was going to.

"Maybe there will be a whole herd waiting for me... heheh..." David stored the body into his inventory, camouflaged his mana signature, and sprinted through the tall grass towards where the grass buffalo was heading earlier.

Up ahead, he saw that the {Mini-Map}'s clouds were beginning to turn quite dark and were borderline black, David's face darkened slightly, hesitating before he smiled and hid in the tall grass, waiting for something to appear.

(A/N: For logical reasons, this area is dozens of miles away from the city, giving enough space so that some of the knights and patrolmen some trouble that they procrastinate, allowing the population of monsters a rise in this area. Plot convenience!!!)

Looking ahead, David could see a whole herd of buffalos just eating the grass around them.

'Perfect... now I need to know how strong they are.' David used {Apprasial} to check their stats, they actually were not too weak, most of them reaching at least a whopping 40 for their highest attributes, some with Vit, some with Str, etc.

'No wonder... their defense and strength are almost on my level, especially with their numbers.' Looking at the herd of around 70+ grass buffalos, David had a hungry smile.

He spread his mana around the entire herd, before changing his aura to that of a lion, scaring the buffalos, making them all turn to one place as David's aura had already surrounded the area.

David used half of his mana to make enhanced {Earth Spikes}, and especially with his leveled up {Elemental Magic}, his spell had killed almost all the buffalos.

Most of them died with a pierce through the lower part of their heads, cutting off the connection between the brain to the rest of the body by making a hole, around the size of three fingers through them.

The buffalos that survived were injured as a large part of their body was pierced, killing another few buffalos, sprawling on the ground.

"For an area that was considered 'dangerous', it sure doesn't feel like it... did the scaling screw up?" David scratched his head in confusion before jumping out of the tall grass.

He dashed towards the buffalos and cut their necks, severing their heads as his {Earth Claws} was still activated.

"Weird... maybe the scaling... really is off? Let's test it a bit more..." David spent the next 2 hours dismantling the buffalos, waiting for his Mp to recover.

By the time he was done, it was already 1 past noon, with the sun completely out, shining everywhere.

"Ugh... I'm still not used to this kind of light yet..." With his experience in the cave, David still felt some goosebumps with the sun.

Going even deep into the tall grasslands, David had also slain some zebras, cheetahs, and some salamander type monsters.

By the time he arrived at the place where the clouds were finally black on his {Mini-Map}, he looked at the progress he made during his way here.

"Hgnn... argh... un... comfortable..." David groaned slightly as the attribute points and bloodline effects seeped into him.

After a minute, David sighed, seeing that all of his stats had recovered.

"Time to see what more I can fight! It's too boring fighting something that can't hurt me..." David cracked his neck, running deeper into the grasslands.
