10. The Truth Surfaces

I slowly started to gain consciousness, I could feel myself snuggled up to my warm pillow. I was so comfortable just lying there, that must've been the best sleep I've had all year, I can definitely say that was well needed.

I started to remember what had happened last night and opened my eyes looking around for Sasuke but to my surprise he wasn't here. I then noticed a note lying on the pillow where he should have been so I slowly sat up and reached for the piece of paper, the handwriting was a small neat scribble.

'Sorry you had to wake up to an empty bed, you looked pretty comfortable snoring away on my chest but I had things to take care of. I'll see you later for training.

Sasuke. '

Snoring? Oh god.. On his chest! Oh no Tila you looser! I hope I didn't dribble on him!

I shut my eyes again and pulled my pillow closer and hugged it, I was still pretty sleepy so I lied there for another 30 minutes. I eventually got up and started getting ready for the day ahead, I summoned my weapons and clothing then fastened on my shin pads.

I put on my black tight jeans and white sleeveless top, I didn't wear any of my nice clothes anymore because all I did was train. I didn't have any assigned sessions with Kabuto or Orochimaru today and I couldn't be happier about it, the thought of leaving as soon as possible was still hot on my mind.

I made my way to the kitchen and quickly grabbed an apple to nibble on while I walked to the training room, I knew Sasuke would probably eat lunch again with me after training so there's no need to fill myself up now.

I finally made my way into the room and I couldn't see anyone at all so I sat down and finished my apple. Sasuke walked in and I noticed he had acquired a sword that he didn't have before.

"Nice Sword" I said as I stood up and pushed my chair in then turned around to face him.

"Orochimaru just gave it to me, strange come to think of it" Sasuke said as he stopped walking so he was now standing right In front of me.

"He's more than strange, trust me" I said before I could stop myself.

"Explain?" He said with that typical cold stare.

"I mean.." My voice went to a hushed whisper and I slightly lent in to Sasuke so my mouth was close to his ear "I can't talk here, maybe later I can explain" I said and then I pulled away.

"Lets just get started" I said, my voice now full volume again.

He raised his eyebrows a little "I take it you want to practice Chidori?" He said looking around slightly, he was probably thinking about what id just said.. It was true, you never knew who was listening in this place and I couldn't afford anyone to be suspicious of me, not now, not after I'd endured for so long. If I was to get locked up again for acting out then I would never be able to escape.

"So?" Sasuke's voice interrupted my thoughts, "Oh, sorry I.." He interrupted me again "It's fine, just stop thinking so much Tila" His eyes met mine and he held the stare for a good 5 seconds.

I pulled out of the gaze and started weaving hand signs then a strong burst of lightning Chakra come out of the base of my palm, his facial expression hadn't changed "So, your getting it huh?" He said coldly.

The rest of our training mostly consisted of sparing and practicing Chidori, he tried to teach me fire style but it was hopeless. I was not fire style compatible and that was all there is too it, he couldn't do my water style either so we didn't dwell very long on trying.

I had really started to get the hang of Chidori and I noticed that there was some serious improvements in both out lightning clones too, when we finished up we both headed to the kitchen as usual. We both made our way in and I reached the pantry just before he could open up the cupboard.

"It's my turn so take a seat yeah?" I looked over at him with a little joking smile on my face.

Sasuke made a small "Mh" sound before sitting down.

"Soup?" I say as I look into the pantry only seeing numerous vegetables.

"Yeah" He replies looking over towards me, I pull out a few vegetables and start washing and chopping them up.

"So, you want to finish what you started telling me earlier?" I look over to where Sasuke was sitting, his eyes were baring down on me with curiosity.

"I suppose I just mean to say, that he, is.. really involved in a lot of fucked up things" I say as I return to concentrate on cooking. "That's a broad statement, care to elaborate?" Sasuke says, I can still feel his eyes watching me as I chop.

"He does some really inhumane things Sasuke, I don't know why your here but you should leave.. There's nothing here but pain and suffering" The words come out before I could stop them. "Tila" Sasuke says slowly, I sense the smallest amount of worry in his voice.

Sasuke clears his throat "The only reason I'm here is so that I can get stronger" He paused and there was a moments silence. He was just like me.. He wanted to get stronger.

"My eyes can see everything, including your pain".

I stopped in my tracks "How coul.."

I begin to say as I look back at him, I stop mid sentence as my eyes meet his. His eyes are red now with three small black commas within them. "The Sharingan" He answers my question for me.

He knows? How could he know! Everything? What does that mean, I'm so confused.. I drop the knife accidentally and Sasuke stands up quickly coming over to catch me before my knees give way. He takes me over to the table and sits me down, he sits next to me and looks deep In to my eyes.

I look back, his Sharingan still activated.

"You can talk to me, Tila" He finally says, I continue to stare Into his deep eyes.. It's as if he has so much emotion within them.

"I.. He.. Owns my body Sasuke" I begin to say now looking down.. "And he does with it as he wishes" The last of my words came out as a whisper which was barely audible "It hurts so much, I need to get out of here soon or.. I don't know how much longer I can take it" I gulp as a small amount of tears start to brim my eyes.

"I'll kill him" Sasuke says in his usual cold voice...

"Sasuke.." I can't believe he just said that.

He pulled my face up again so his eyes met mine "I swear to you, I'll help you get out of here" The look he was giving me was dead serious.

"I'll come to your room later and we can start to plan" He began, "But-" I Interjected. "I can't get outside" I said as quietly as I could.

"I can" He let go of my face and stood up, he made his way over to finish the vegetables then put them in a pot and started to boil them. I just started at the floor thinking about what he'd said, he wanted to kill Orochimaru and help me escape.. I can't believe this. I looked up as Sasuke put down a bowl of soup in front of me and handed me a spoon "Thanks".

"It's fine" He replied as we started eating. We didn't talk again until we were about to leave the kitchen "Night" He said quickly and then headed off in the opposite direction. I didn't say anything, I was still trying to process that me leaving this hell hole could actually become reality.

I headed back to my room and gathered clothes for a shower, I took off my training gear such as my weapons and shin weights. How in the world were we going to pull this off? I still couldn't help but think about what he'd said earlier..

I made my way to the small dingy bathroom while still fairly deep in thought, did he care about me?

No Tila don't be absurd... But he must if he was willing to go this far for me. I turned on the water and stepped into the shower. The water ran through my long blonde hair and it began to become soaking wet, I could feel it sticking to my back.

What other options do I have? I questioned myself, if I don't trust him I'll never get out of here.. If I give him a chance then there's a possibility, even if it might be a trick I won't know unless I try. I finished up in the shower and got dressed, I closed the bathroom door behind me and decided to go for a little walk to clear my head slightly.

I headed down the corridor and turned down the east wing, I heard familiar voices as I past a door that I'd eavesdropped previously at. I crept up and began to listen to Orochimaru and Kabuto's conversation.

"They are interested in the girl, it doesn't surprise me" Kabuto said.

"Yess, they want to control her power too. we will have to Heighten security on her when we return" Orochimaru hissed. "It will take us three days to acquire the remains" He kept talking.

"Lord Orochimaru, are you sure we will be able to locate them?" Kabuto said.

"Of course Kabuto, do you not trust my judgement?" Orochimaru's voice echoed eerily a little then there was a pause, I decided I'd herd enough and slowly backed away. I headed back to my room wondering if it were me they were referring too..

Chances were that it was, now I definitely have no choice but to trust Sasuke. They were leaving for three days, maybe this was the opportunity I had been waiting for.

I quickly hurried back to my room and locked the door behind me, I sat down on my bed and began to contemplate the whole situation that had so suddenly arisen.
