The sun was barely rising over Hogwarts Castle but you could already see students of all houses and years in the hallways. Some ghosts from the great hall and heading towards their classrooms, others who on the contrary were rushing towards the great hall to have a quick breakfast. Harry, Ron and Hermione were part of the second group. Having to their delight (note the irony) their first hour of joint class with the Slytherins in potion with Professor Snape, there was no question of lingering. So it was at lightning speed that they finished their meal by chewing frantically before running (although it is forbidden to run in the corridors) to the potion room located at the other end of the castle near the dungeons. Fortunately, they arrived right on time and hurried to get settled before Professor Snape could find a (often stupid and unfair) reason to punish them. Fortunately the said professor seemed in a good mood (without laughing) and only gave them a cold look before starting his lesson. At the end of the course, the course was straightforward, 5 points less for the Griffindor House (apparently Ron had been breathing too hard) and tons of writing to return for the next lesson. In short, nothing abnormal then.

As they were quietly walking towards their Transfiguration class, still in common with the Slytherins, they ran into Malfoy's gang (without Astoria thanks to Merlin) coming out of Snape's class a little before them. The two groups were walking separately down the hall when strangely Parkinson spoke to them hesitantly.

- Uh hello

- Hello they released hesitantly also

- Um, how are you? Said Blaise

- Uh yes yes. And you ? Said Harry

- It's ok, Draco replied, staring intently at Harry.

After exchanging their banalities, they stood there, stopping like idiots staring at each other in the hallway until Hermione and Pansy burst out laughing under the questioning looks of their friends.

They arrived 20 minutes late and were all detained the same evening at 4 p.m. Other than that, the class went well overall. For their last class of the day, Slytherins and Griffindors parted ways. The Slytherins having DCFM with the Hufflepuffs and the Botanical Griffindors with the Ravenclaws. They were free around 2 p.m. The Malfoy gang made their way to the library to start Snape's homework while the golden trio alighted in the backyard with their friends Neville and Luna, quietly enjoying their moment of respite before detention. As they chatted happily, Ginny Weasley appeared in the backyard walking resolutely towards the group. Arrived at their level she planted herself in front of Hermione and spoke

So they left Luna, Neville and Ginny behind.

It was in a terrible mood that the golden trio entered the detention room. After giving them the task of tidying up all the mess, Professor McGonagall left them in the room to go about his business. The atmosphere was heavy. The Slytherins sensed the griffindors weren't in the mood, and they avoided getting too close to them. In a very short time, the room was tidied up then everyone sat down and plunged into their homework. Well, almost everyone. Draco, sitting behind Harry kept glancing at him wondering why he was in such a bad mood. Feeling a look on him, Harry turned and found himself staring into Malfoy's two blue-gray pearls. He felt like he was getting lost in that gaze then let his pupils wander over Malfoy's plump pink lips. The strange urge to taste his lips came over him. Ashamed of such a thought, he whirled around while undoing his tie feeling suddenly hot. Draco was no better off biting his lower lip, he too having been through the same urge. Pansy, who wasn't really focused on her homework either, had watched the whole scene and her eyes began to sparkle with a strange glow as a smile took place on her face. Blaise tired of the rotten atmosphere decided to break the ice

- Uh then, how was your botany class? He said cautiously

- Oh and your break? Said Theodore deciding to help Blaise

But if he had known, he wouldn't have opened his mouth. It was what we called royally putting the feet in the dish. The golden trio glared at him without answering before diving back into their homework.

- Hey easy. I didn't do anything to me, say Theodore raising his hands to the sky

- Sorry, said Harry with a sigh

- Yes excuse continued Ron

- It was rotten, Hermione ended up blowing while putting down her quill

They then spent the next few minutes explaining the incident to the Slytherins. In the end, pansy was outraged

Theodore gave him a look that clearly said yes. So the Slytherins told them about Ginny's escapades so far ignored by them. Soon the conversation turned to their common intention to get to know each other really.

When at 6 p.m. McGonagall came the released from their detention, they decided to go together in the room on request just to sit down to chat a little. When they entered, the room had taken on the appearance of a large living room with a small kitchen and a bathroom. They each sat down on an armchair. Each took turns talking about him, his passions, what he loved and his dreams. The atmosphere was downright great and totally relaxed, Harry even confessed to them that he almost landed in Slytherin shocking anyone who ignored him. They left the room for the great room at around 8 p.m. And after dinner everyone returned to their room for a well-deserved rest.
