Chapter 8

Emotionless eyes met an anxiety-filled one.

Adan was so close to decking Seol Jihu in the face as he said, "You wanna die early? Cause I can arrange to for you, you stupid bastard!"

Seeing that Seol Jihu didn't want to defend himself, Shin Sang-Ah quickly went to his rescue and said, "Hey! Don't talk to Seol Jihu like that! We didn't know that activating the door would make the barrier for the monster to disappear!"

Adan glared at her and shouted, "Don't fuck with me! Seol Jihu clearly knew that! See! He isn't even defending himself! And didn't you read the third part of what Han sent us!? It said that the barrier would disappear the moment you open the fucking door!"

Seeing that his act was going so well, Adan thought, 'Heh, I deserve an Oscar for this acting! Who knew that insulting the main character of a novel/manhwa would be so satisfying if you have a valid reason to do so.'

All the survivors, sans the Silver Mark guy, were inside Classroom 3-1 and that means that the others were just silently watching them argue. Non was going to side with Seol Jihu this time cause they knew that what he did was wrong.

Seol Jihu then sighed in frustration while his head was lowered, "I just want this tutorial to end fast, okay? I don't want anyone in my group to die."

Feeling a little touched, the people in Seol Jihu's group felt their respect and gratitude increase.

Of course, they already felt that when Seol Jihu was helping them find the right amount of coins to pay for the toll fee but it only grew when they heard what he said.

When Adan was about to open his mouth again to 'scold' Seol Jihu, he felt a tiny hand pat his own and heard a soft voice say, "Can you stop it already. I think that he knows his lesson already and-"

Before Yun Seora could continue, a piercing scream rang throughout the building followed by the scream of "HELP MEEE!!! I DON'T WANT TO DIE YETTT!!"

The people inside the classroom turned towards the direction of the scream as the little girl's voice sounded out, "Was that the mean big brother? Is he dead?"

Adan nodded while still looking in the direction of the scream and replied, "Oh he is most definitely dead. But the problem is, that scream sounded awfully close to where we are right now."

Hyun Sangmin nodded his head at what Adan said and asked, "Do you think that he was running towards the Classroom 3-1 for the Safe Zone barrier?"

Seol Jihu then replied, "From the scraping sounds that are coming close to where we are? Then yes, he was undoubtedly coming here for the barrier."

Yi Seol-Ah looked at her brother who was nervously looking in the direction where they hear the scraping sounds of the phantom monster's chains were coming from. She then scooted closer to him and comforted her nervous sibling.

The mother of the little girl instinctively held her daughter a little closer as her husband looked in the direction of the sounds and tried to hide them. Like, he was covering them with his body.

Yun Seora prepared herself for when the monster arrives and noticed that she wasn't the only one as she saw Seol Jihu, Hyun Sangmin, and Shin Sang-Ah prepare themselves too.

Adan was the only one relaxing in the group as he stared at the silhouette of the Gaekgwi. He could see its red eyes looking at the people beside him, not even daring to meet Adan's stare.

Feeling a little bored, Adan grabbed a chair and sat on it while his legs were on a number 4 position as his chin was resting on his palm.

Adan smiled at the Gaekgwi when it could be finally seen by the whole group. The Gaekgwi flinched when it saw Adan's smile and the aura surrounding him. It knew that it would die if it would even try to antagonize the smiling demon.

Looking at the Gaekgwi's and Adan's interaction, the others couldn't help but feel a little curious at what was happening. Feeling a little brave, Yun Seora silently walked towards Adan in a tense manner while still being vigilant of the monster and asked, "Why is the monster flinching every time it sees you?"

Adan looked at the tense loli and smiled in amusement as he said, "Oh, that? It knows that it's weaker than me so its instincts are telling it to not antagonize me. But that's just what I assume is happening to it."

The people around him nodded in understanding, sans the family, the cap-wearing guy, and Hyun Sangmin. Seol Jihu's group and Yun Seora were saved by Adan in the first mission and saw how easily he slapped the Gaekgwi's chains away so they understood what he meant by that.

The Gaekgwi and Adan were still having a 'stare-off' by the door but the monster was clearly losing. Even if there wasn't a barrier around the classroom, the people in it would still feel safe knowing that Adan was barricading the entrance.

When Adan looked at the time, he noticed that it was still 11:39 PM and deadpanned. He then looked at Seol Jihu with his deadpanned face as Seol Jihu kept avoiding his gaze when he saw Adan look at the time.

Seeing the interaction between the two, the bystanders chuckled in amusement, give Seol Jihu a stare full of pity, and the blaming gaze.

When Seol Jihu saw all of that, he could only think, 'Don't laugh at me Hyun Sangmin! And you! The mother and father! Don't give me pitiable looks! Little girl, why are you blaming me?'

Adan could only sigh in disappointment and started staring back at the monster or as he liked to call it; observing it.

Unknown to Adan, Yi Seol-Ah who was behind him kept giving the monster funny faces that were eventually causing it to go angry.

When the Gaekgwi finally saw Yi Seol-Ah imitate its face, its 'patience' finally broke causing it to roar directly in Yi Seol-Ah's direction which was behind Adan. As the Gaekgwi finally stopped roaring, it looked at the terrifying human again to see if he was gone or not and grew scared.

Sitting in front of the Gaekgwi was Adan who was fully covered in its saliva and was releasing a suffocating and condescending manner that scared the monster.

It was at this moment the Gaekgwi knew, it fucked up.

Before the Gaekgwi could even run away, it felt a hand grabbed its left leg and fell down on the floor. Looking at who caught his leg, the Gaekgwi could only fearfully await its demise as it saw the murderous smile on Adan's shadow face? and his brown eyes glowing inside his hood.

Seeing that the Gaekgwi finally accepted its fate, Adan slowly lifted the monster up with one hand and started slamming the monster to his left and right, Hulk style. In every slam that Adan made, he was making comments about his cloak and this is what he said;

"How dare you dirty the cloak my wives prepared for me!?" *SLAM*

"Do you know how much effort they did to make this?" *SLAM*

"They started from scratch in learning sewing just to make my cloak!" *SLAM*

"AND YOU FUCKING SHOWERED IT WITH YOUR SALIVA!?!" *SLAM* *SLAM* *SLAM*

"YOU FUCKING CLEARLY DON'T WANT TO LIVE ANYMORE, DO YOU!?!" *SLAM*

"YOU MOTHERFUCKING PIECE OF SHITTTTT!!!!!" *SLAM* *SLAM* *SLAM* *SLAM* *SLAM*

After the last slam, Adan didn't count how many more times he did it but felt confused on why he didn't hear any sounds anymore when he tried to keep slamming the poor monster.

Looking in the direction of where he last slammed the monster, he could only see its meat splattered all over the floor with its left leg still on Adan's hand.

Seeing the mess he made, Adan could only say, "Oh, I think I put a little too much force in that last slam, or maybe that was a couple of hundred slams ago?" while scratching the back of his head.

Remembering that his cloak was filled with saliva, Adan quickly discarded it and stuffed it inside his bag while calmly walking towards the classroom.

As Adan sat down on a different chair that wasn't filled with saliva, the other people could only look at him in shock and comment on what they saw.

"What the fuck just happened?" Hyun Sangmin kept looking back at where the monster's pasty body could be seen and back at Adan.

"I don't even know," as Shin Sang-Ah was looking at Adan like he was a monster.

Seol Jihu, on the other hand, didn't comment anything and just looked at Adan with an incredulous look.

"Honey, did you cover Han Jee's eyes?" the Fat Father asked his wife as he covered their daughter's ears.

"What do you think I'm doing?" the irritated mother replied as she kept looking at the monster and the bigger monster in fear.

Their daughter, on the other hand, didn't know what happened as she shouted, "What happened?! Why is mama covering my eyes!? I can't hear anything papa!"

"Hmmmm, he's more handsome than I expected. I thought that he was ugly and that's why he was covering his face. I never thought that he would be that handsome guy that you would rarely see in the streets," said Yi Seol-Ah while she was looking at Adan's face.

Yi Sungjin looked at his big sister in astonishment and shouted, "That's what got you so concerned?! Noona! That guy just turned the monster into monster paste! Isn't that more important!?"

Contrary to what others would expect Yun Seora to comment, the first thing that came out of her mouth was, "Wives?"
