So now we'll be switching from Ruby's and Ren's POV. After this chapter, It'll be Ren's Pov from now on.

There will be the occasional Ruby Pov in upcoming chapters, but that'll be all,

(Ren Ashborn POV)

My head whipped to a certain direction within Patch.

"That was definitely a dungeon... But it only appeared for a millisecond.... Meh, It's probably nothing." I wave my hand, going back to sleep.

[Important!]

[An Unknown System has been detected!]

...Like I said, not important.

[...Are you fucking serious? There is an UNKOWN SYSTEM USER! MY DATABASE HAS KNOWLEDGE OF EVERY FUCKING SYSTEM!]

"You never mention there being other systems."

[Err.... Well... NOT IMPORTANT! Look. If there's an unknown... That could mean very bad things. The person who created us, usually keeps us in check. This means that this system was just made.... He has stopped creating systems. He would've notified us if he started working on them again.]

"Man, I sure am learning alot of new info.... That could've been nice to know over a year ago."

[Haaa.]

[System Quest]

[FIND THE SYSTEM USER!]

[Failure: I can't really do anything harmful to you... Tch]

I take a deep breathe. "Ugggggggh"

(Ruby Rose Pov)

*Clank!*

Crescent Rose flung away another arrow, as Ruby picked up her speed.

"Haaa!" She swung her scythe down, as another skeleton fell. She dodged the knife of a goblin, and kicked it away.

A few more arrows flew towards her, but she jumped up and avoided them.

In the air she shot a couple of bullets, successfully hitting some Orcs. She landed on the ground, and activated her semblance. And headed towards the mob of Monsters.

As she neared, she spun her scythe around, as body parts flew around.

Orcs, Skeletons, Goblins, Zombies. None of them were spared, as the Little Reaper manipulated her scythe.

[Boss Battle!]

Taking a moment to catch her breath, Ruby looked towards the sudden loud roar.

A body slammed unto the ground, sending debris flying everywhere. A couple of large rocks headed to Ruby, but she sliced them in two.

She looked at the slowly clearing dust, her eyes flashing a murderous silver.

"HUmAan." The smoke cleared revealing a figure holding a katana. It looked human, yet the large black wings on his back said otherwise.

Out of reflex, Ruby lowered her body.

"IT's BEeen YeaRs SinCe somEoNE has LASt Come EHRe.... State YOur Name." The figure spoke, as it got into a stance.

".....Ruby Rose." She calmly spoke, tensing up her legs.

The figure chuckled. "I SeeE.... TheN Let ThIS PlAce BE Your GRAVE!" With great speed, it dashed towards Ruby, and struck downwards.

And Their Weapons Met.

(Ren Ashborn Pov)

"Yep, this is the place.... Nothings here." I dully answered, gazing around the abandoned street. Well there is stuff here, that being the broken down buildings, and the wild animals here.

[I can see that. Let me just.....Got it.]

A portal slowly opened, as I looked at it in mild shock. "So you can make dungeons? Why didn't I know about this when I first got you?"

[That doesn't matter, just go in the damn portal]

I shrug and walk through the portal. ".....Woah." I let out a low whistle, gazing upon the carcasses of many monsters. "I'm counting.... 300. Damn."

[All of these are 80 and above.... Whoever's done this is abnormally strong. Most system users can barely get past Level 100..... Your an odd case... Along with the other one... Stupid second.]

I ignore the system, opting to lightly kick an Orc. It's head was gone, looks like it's been cut off.

"It's flesh is pretty tough too. Though I'm overpowered, so, psh." You know, I keep saying I'm overpowered, even though I'm weaker than most beings out there.

"Anyways.... Where's the system user? I kinda forgot to turn off my oven, and I don't need a remake of..... The incident." I spoke the last part out in a dark tone, remembering an event in my life I swore I would never bring up.

[....I'll need to read up on your lore. Anyways, I don't really know where they are. Normally, I'd be able to sense all the system users. But because this is an anomaly, I can't sense anything]

"Does that mean I gotta search this whole place?!" This place seems pretty big! Why would I want to search it!

[Look. Now that you've walked into that portal, you can't get out without there help. It's either you find them, or have fun being trapped in here.]

...."Fuck."

(Ruby Rose Pov)

Two figures appeared place after place, clashing their weapons together. The speed they were going at was remarkable, as well as their force.

"YouR StREngth IS Impressive, human." As the fight continued, the figures speech seemed to get better. The figure jumped back from Ruby before slashing his blade upwards.

A blade of light sped out, heading straight towards Ruby. Three more quickly following.

She barely dodged the first one as it grazed her arm. Spurts of blood fell on the ground as Ruby clicked her tongue.

Watching the other 2 come towards her, she lifted her foot up and struck down. The ground crumpled beneath her, as it rose in the air.

She then sped to the side and activated her semblance, quickly appearing behind the figure.

*Clank!*

Expecting her blade to meet flesh, only to hear the sound of a clash. Her eyes widened.

"A NiCe trick."

"PUCAK!" She felt a great force hit her stomach, as she let out a gasp of air. A kick then met her side as she was sent flying into a nearby wall.

'W-What happened!' She strugglingly got up, only to quickly roll to the side as a beam of light hit where she previously stood.

She regained her composure , and started sprinting toward the figure, dodging and flinging away beams of light.

The figure clenched his fist, gazing at Ruby. "YOu were a WoRthy opponent. However, I have now regained my strength." It let out a low chuckle, as Ruby finally reached him.

"HAAA!" Swinging down her scythe with the intent to kill, Ruby struck it.

(Ren Ashborn)

My punch obliterated a Goblin's torso, as I yawned. "It's been 10 minutes.... I'm sure were lost."

[I hate how casual you are about this]

"....I've been stressed for an entire year about the thought of my only friend being dead. Let me have this." There was no reply and I merely hummed. Now, if I was a system user, where would I.

*BOOOOOM*

My gaze wondered to the large dust cloud. "...Alright." I bend my legs, and jump.

(Ruby Rose Pov)

Danger swelled in her mind as she jumped far to the left, watching a fist strike down

*BOOOOOM*

The ground cracked and exploding, as pieces of debris flew. She could only stare in shock, at the huge amount of damage a single fist did.

"This form from a past long forgotten. It's nostalgic brings me joy.... How I've missed you, Itami" The smoked cleared revealing a man stroking a blade.

His dark hair went past his back, as it flowed softly. His blue eyes seemed to penetrate anything it looked at. His face held a solemn look, as he gazed at his blade. "Let the world hear your name once again."

'H-he seems so strong.' Ruby took a small step back, as she felt a tinge of fear go by her.

"...Now. Let us continue our batt-"

"FREEDOOOOOOOOOOOM! OH SHIT A GU-" A white blur crashed into the man, bringing up another cloud of dust.

"Now to finally get out of this place.... Say, guy beneath me, you wouldn't happen to know a system..... u....ser." As the dust cleared, Ren's voice trailed off, as he looked in Ruby's direction.
