Chapter Six
Logan's POV
I subdue the chuckle that was about to escape my mouth when she thought I was going to kiss her the way.
I wanted to kiss her.
Not to annoy her but I just felt the urge to.
Even though Dani looks very much different now from how she did last night I'm no longer turned off, on the contrary her simplicity is really cute.
"By the way Ivan where is your dad" I asked Dani's son
This is my chance to get to know a bit about her, now that she isn't here.
"I do not know, when I ask mom about it she doesn't answer me" she answered
"Haven't you ever seen him?"
"No I haven't. I guess my real dad is bad," he said again.
"Why?"
"Why do you have so many questions?" Dani asked when she returned to the dining room table.
Her face had gone from blushing with embarrassment to red with anger.
"I'm just curious." I answered simply
"Curious? What exactly is your problem?"
"Dani..." I tried talking but she cut me short
"What is wrong with you? You came into my house uninvited, I tried to be as polite as possible and now you're prying into my business by asking my underage son things that doesn't concern you." She yelled at me.
"Who the hell do you think you are?" She continued
At this point her anger had gone over the roof.
She motioned for me to leave the living room when she noticed that Ivan was staring at us.
I stood up and followed her without uttering a word.
"What is your purpose?" She asked me.
"What?" I asked confused
"Just answer my fucking question, will you?", She said angrily.
"Dani can you please calm down. Your son might hear you hear you and then you will have to explain to him what 'fucking' means." I joked
"I'm not kidding Logan. Why are you here?" She repeated the question.
"Well, after you walked out on me last night I wanted to speak to you again so I called you and your son picked up." I explained honestly
"And then you came to my house! Are you a lunatic?" she asked incredulously
At this point even I couldn't answer that question because I did indeed seem like a lunatic.
"How did you get my number?" she asked with a raised eyebrow, making her face look somewhat cute
"From your manager. I was so attracted to you that night, I couldn't seem to get you out of my head. I had to find a way to see you again.
"Oh wow, after calling me ugly in the morning you suddenly got attracted to me in the evening and couldn't get me out of your mind. Typical" she muttered under her breath. "You're such a douchebag" she said, this time to my face, reminding me of our first meeting.
"Relax, I didn't mean to offend you but I was just saying the truth, you looked terrible that morning".
"Wow! You mean you're attracted to just the beautiful side of me"
"Yes" I said without hesitation.
"But you don't need to be upset, now I can see that you're truly beautiful, you just need a little polishing. Like a diamond in the rough." I said, looking at her intently.
"Get out! Get out of my house and don't ever come back here again!" she yelled so loud I was afraid she might hit me for a second.
"And what makes you think I would ever want to come back here again?" I asked looking around with disdain in an attempt to cover my wounded pride
"Mr. Logan, I know you are a rich man, but you have no right to disrespect me this way! You can't cone to my house and act as you please. You might be the boss or whatever out there but in my house you are a fucking uninvited guest! " she was shaking with anger at this point.
I don't know why but I enjoyed picking on her
"I'm not trying to insult you Dani, although I have one question".
She placed her hands on her hips and raised an eyebrow as if in challenge.
"Does your son know you work at the club?" I asked in almost a whisper
She went completely silent
"I'm asking you."
"H-no. He does not know and I'm warning you, don't you dare breathe a word of it"
"What if I want to?"
"Damn you Logan!" she hissed
I laughed "I'm joking, I won't tell him"
He breathed a sigh of relief.
"At least not yet" I continued
I took a step closer to her and she took a step back hitting the wall behind her. I took another step forward.
"Quit your job at the club"
"Huh?" she asked in confusion
"It's not okay or safe for you to work at the club especially at night, so quit" I explained
"What do you mean I should quit my job? You've really got some nerves…
"Listen carefully Dani, I need a secretary. I am ready to give that position to you if you leave the club". I said and understanding dawned on her.
"I'll be expecting your reply." I said as I walked out of her house.
