Another Rift? The Dragoon Hero Work-Study

The break eventually ended and U.A. released the study of my Quirk to the Hero Association. I can't believe I had a completely new kind of Quirk! Today marked the start of our Spring Work-Studies, I had planned on interning with The Dragoon Hero: Ryukyu, she honestly could teach me a lot more about my Rage Quirk. From what I heard, she could turn into a dragon, so surely she was experienced with anger! I stood in front of her agency doors.

"I still can't believe a high-ranking Pro like her was interested in me." I muttered.

I walked into her agency and rode an elevator up to the top floor. As the doors opened, I walked out and into a hallway with quite a few doors. I walked through a set of double doors and into her room. She was staring out of a window and looked back at me.

"Oh, hello! You must be that student from U.A. Alyx Leonidus, correct? It's nice to meet you!" She smiled.

That was definitely not what I was expecting, she sounded very gentle and kind.

"Yes, ma'am! Thank you for allowing me to conduct my Work-Studies with you!" I replied.

"So, let's get started. I'm sure you've been through your fair share of studies so I won't do anything basic. We've been tracking down that serial killer, Detonator. I believe we've managed to track down a single area where he could be hiding, they just need people to scout the area out." Ryukyu explained.

"I'm assuming that we're going to be scouting the area out, correct?" I asked.

She nodded and smiled, "That's correct! Let's get going, there's no time to waste!"

[15 Minutes Later...]

We sat on a rooftop in Okinawa, surveying an area that consisted of a gas station, apartment complex, parking lot, and general store. I blinked a few times and Hatsume's voice rang through my ears.

"Hey, hey, hey! What's up friendo?" Hatsume wondered.

"Do you think you could enhance my vision; I need to look for someone suspicious, is it possible to magnify my vision?" I questioned.

"Yep yep! Sure can! How far do you needa see?" She responded.

"About... maybe 4 times magnification please!" I told her.

My vision zoomed in and I could see the people on the street much clearer than before.

"Wow, impressive! You really do have quite a bag of tricks, don't you?" Ryukyu complimented.

"Well, I didn't want to stay blind for the rest of my life, so my friend Hatsume made these contact lenses that allowed me to see again. She really is a genius!" I replied.

After continuing to survey the area, we did find someone suspicious, he was wearing a checkered suit. He looked over his shoulder as he threw something in a dumpster before hurrying into the apartment building.

"Right there, that man threw something in that dumpster!" I told her.

We made our way down to the dumpster and opened it up. Who knew I'd be dumpster diving on my first day of my internship! We grabbed the bag, it was awfully heavy, we opened it up and... Clothes? And a wig? These clothes looked familiar, same with the wig. I leaned into the bag and sniffed it.

"U-Uh... Braveheart? What are you doing?" She wondered.

I looked up and noticed that people were looking at me, "What? A Hero's gotta do what a Hero's gotta do!"

The people resumed what they were doing and I looked back up at Ryukyu.

"This smells like soot and smoke, not to mention how dirty these things are. Let's take these back with us!" I suggested.

[20 Minutes Later...]

We arrived back at her agency and I sat the bag down on a table. As I was about to leave, I heard a faint "tick" noise. I activated Mode Four and charged towards Ryukyu.

"RYUKYU LOOK OUT!" I shouted.

I tackled her and the explosion sent us flying out of the window. I looked at the window, the room wasn't on fire or anything!

"Are you alright?" I asked.

"Y-Yes, thank you!" She smiled.

After that whole explosive experience, I returned home to the dorms. My wrist watch that I got from Ms. Aizawa was buzzing off the charts! It sounded like someone was talking in my desk. I opened it up and listened.

"Hello? Is this damn thing on? Ryuko, how's this thing work?" A man questioned.

"Give me that damn thing... If anyone can hear me, if this stupid thing even relays messages, we aren't sure where we are. It seems like Japan, but not the Japan either of us are from. Again, if anyone can hear us-" Ryuko explained.

I quickly picked it up, "H-Hello? Are you there?"

"O-Oh my god, R-R-Rayzor! Someone answered! Listen to me, are you near some building with a weird marking on a window and a statue of a swan?" She wondered.

"No, but I know where that is! Stay where you are, I'll be right there!" I exclaimed.

I dropped my watch and raced towards the building that Rei held me in. Whoever these guys were, they didn't sound like threats.

[25 Minutes Later...]

I arrived at the location where they were. I landed down and looked for them.

"Hello? Anyone out here? I heard your distress call!" I shouted out.

"Over here!" I heard that man shout.

I looked over and saw that he was standing in front of the doorway of that building. I hurried over and he shut the door behind me. He rushed past me and into another room. I followed behind and saw that Ryuko woman clearly frostbitten. It hadn't let up with snow since a couple days ago and the temperatures weren't exactly forgiving.

"Is there no goddamn heat in this place?" The man muttered.

I walked over to her and activated my Quirk. I placed my hand on her head and closed my eyes. I heated body up and she slowly stopped shivering. Her eyes slowly opened and she turned her head to look at me.

"W-What...?" She mumbled.

"Are you alright? I warmed you up, your friend over there was really worried about you!" I told her.

The man walked in, "Woah, how did you...?"

I helped her up and the man hugged her. He was rather tall, very muscular, and had sharp, spiky hair with two bangs out front. The woman was petite, had black hair with a red streak on one part of her hair. The man stood up and held the woman in his arms.

"Thanks. The name's Rayzor by the way." He introduced himself.

Rayzor? That's a very peculiar name, now that he's standing up, he's taller than Mr. Aizawa! He looked about 6'5" to me.

"Alyx Leonidus, sir. It's nice to meet you!" I beamed.

He looked down at me and sighed, "Good grief..."

"Woah, you say that too? That's like my favorite phrase!" I replied.

We walked out of the building and Rayzor looked at me. He looked me up and down, then looked forward again.

"If you guys need a place to stay for the night, I can take you back to my dorms. I've got some room I can make." I offered.

"No, I don't think-" He tried to say.

"Yes, we will." Ryuko interrupted.

I activated my Quirk, "Alright, come on, follow me!"

We flew into the air, which honestly surprised me, what kind of Quirk did he have? He stayed close by me as we flew towards the dorms.

[15 Minutes Later...]

"Who exactly are you? You definitely don't look like a Saiyan. What was with that blue and white aura?" Rayzor questioned.

"A... Saiyan? You mean like from that Dragon Ball manga? Of course not! I'm as human as you are! Do you read the manga too? That aura was because of my Quirk." I responded.

He looked about as confused as I was, "Quirk? The fuck is that? Also, manga? This is so weird..."

I activated Mode One to show him what I meant. He observed what it looked like.

"This is my Quirk! It's called, "Overdrive," it enhances my speed, strength, and basic senses. A Quirk is basically is a superpower that's unique to each person. I've got two Quirks, my second being "Rage."' I explained.

He smirked and stood in front of me. His hair stood up a little higher as it turned yellow and a golden aura surrounded him. My eyes widened as I realized what he did.

"Y-You...Y-Y-You're a... SUPER SAIYAN?!" I shouted with glee.

I practically fan boy'd out at him, his eyes narrowed as I bounced around the room rambling off things.

"Is everything okay..." Deku's voice trailed off.

I turned and looked at him, "Yep! Everything actually fantastic! Before you ask, this is Rayzor and Ryuko! They sent a distress call they relayed to my watch, so I'm guess they're from another world?"

"Oh, w-well, hi! My name is Izuku Midoriya! It's nice to meet you!" Deku introduced.

"How many of you are this bright and positive?" Rayzor joked.

A hand smacked the back of his head and Ryuko stood up from my bed.

"It's nice to meet you as well, Izuku." She replied.

"So, how exactly did you get here?" I asked.

"We were in the middle of training when all of the sudden it was like we blacked out, but we were awake at the same time? Within a few seconds we were on the ground next to that building. And now we're here." Ryuko explained.

Hmm... That sounds exactly like what happened to me, except I stayed in the restaurant's bathroom. Whatever was going on, I had a gut feeling that a Quirk was involved, somehow and someway. We all walked downstairs to make some sense with the situation, that's when we heard a knock on the door. I opened it and there stood a woman with a baby.

"Oh, hello. Who are you?" I greeted.

"Are you... Alyx Leonidus?" She asked.

I nodded, "Did Eraserhead let you through?"

She nodded back and sighed. What exactly did this woman need?

"I came here to apologize, I heard you went missing because of some sort of dimensional rift. My baby's an early Quirk bloomer I'm afraid and she doesn't know how to control it." She told me.

"B-BABY?!" We all exclaimed.

A baby was responsible for all of us?! I couldn't believe my ears; an infant was capable of sending rifts to different worlds and sending whoever's affected to god knows where? I mean, at least it wasn't a villain?

"Good grief..." Rayzor and I muttered.

"So, your child, she's the cause of all of this? How do you know she's created a rift?" Deku wondered.

"Well, she starts to run a fever for a few days before it settles down. She ran one this week and it subsided last night. I'm assuming from the look of your friends here, it hit them as well?" The woman responded.

Rayzor nodded, "Yeah, it has. But at least it's not a deadly ability. This child might be the key to getting us back, Ryuko."

Rayzor approached the woman and looked at the child. He placed his hand on her forehead and looked as if he was feeling her temperature.

"She's working up a storm in her mind, it's no surprise her fevers last a few days, it's almost as if her mind makes these fevers a routine." He noted.

Routine fevers? That's pretty interesting, but it seems if these rifts appear at random, so who knows how many people aren't where they're supposed to be. This was gonna be a long week, I can already just tell.

[The Next Day...]

It took some adjusting from the others but Rayzor and Ryuko fit right in! Mr. Aizawa allowed gave them a room on the campus until we can get them back home. Knowing that there were more places out there with incredibly strong people, it honestly made me want to explore! There were loud booms and thuds coming from outside, Bakugo looked as if he was getting annoyed.

"Whoever's making those damn noises needs to tone it the fuck down!" He shouted.

I got up and walked outside to see what was going on. Rayzor must've been doing some sort of training with Ryuko.

"Hey! Are you guys training? Mind if I join?" I yelled over to them.

Rayzor turned his head and looked at me, "No offense kid, but I don't know if you'd be able to handle it. Ryuko over here is barely keeping up!"

"Oh, fuck off, will ya?" She retorted.

I stepped off the porch and activated Mode One.

"Darling! Breakfast is-" Momo stopped.

"I'll be there in a minute!" I shouted to her.

I looked up at Rayzor and he looked down at me, clearly impressed that I'm challenging him. We flew up into the air and he crossed his arms.

"Alright, first things first. No holding back, if we're training I expect you to give me everything you've got, do you understand?" Rayzor told me.

I nodded and before we started training, I heard the dorm doors open, everyone came outside to watch! Rayzor looked down at them, then back at me.

"One more thing..." He added.

"Huh?" I uttered.

"If you don't manage to make this training at least enjoyable... I'm destroying them. Surely, that would be better than admitting defeat, right?" Rayzor continued.

"W-WHAT?!" Everyone exclaimed.

"Rayzor, what in the hell are you doing?!" Ryuko shouted.

I knew I had a lingering feeling about this guy! It looks like I really have no choice here, if I back out, I'm sure he'll just try to kill them anyway. I activated Mode Five and stared him down. His hair turned a dark blue, the same with his eyes, the pressure he let off was insane! Not to mention his Heat Energy! I decided to match it by using my Boost Fire at times 60.

*THIRD PERSON*

Rayzor and Alyx stared each other down once more, within the blink of an eye, the two were engaged in extreme fast paced combat. Both of the slugging blows at one another with neither letting up! Alyx backed away and charged forward, ramming his knee into Rayzor's gut, which he responded with a fierce headbutt! The two flew back from each other, trying to figure out what the other was going to do next. Rayzor seemingly disappeared and reappeared behind Alyx, elbowing him in the back, and sending him crashing to the ground.

A ball of Overdrive flew towards Rayzor, who was confused at first, until it exploded! Alyx stumbled up from the ground and darted towards Rayzor. He ducked a strike from him and Alyx slammed an Overdrive Fist into his face. As he fell to the ground, Alyx held out both of his hands and the tips of his fingers began to glow.

"Stardust Shoot: Ten Fingers!" He yelled.

His attack pelted Rayzor until he fired off an attack of his own, sending Alyx further into the air! Alyx rebounded and landed on the ground.

"You were just trying to get me amped up, weren't you?" Alyx questioned.

"Whatever do you mean?" Rayzor replied.

*LEONIDUS P.O.V.*

"What you said earlier, how you were going to kill my friends, that was just a ruse to get me to use my full power. My Stardust Shoot would've pierced through your body and most likely would've killed you if that was the case." I observed.

I deactivated my Quirk and walked over to him. I held my hand out and he stared at it.

"Smart kid, you really are something else." He muttered.

He grabbed my hand and I helped him up.

"Your power level... It's so low but you managed to hold out against Super Saiyan Blue Evolution at full power. Impressive, maybe I was wrong about you, kid." Rayzor complimented.

"S-So... You aren't going to kill us?" Kaminari piped.

Rayzor chuckled, "No, you idiot. I was just trying to get your friend here to use his full power."

Everyone settled down as our training match came to a close. I looked up at him and stared.

"W-What? Why are you looking at me like that?" Rayzor questioned.

"Do you... Do you know him? Like, are you friends with-" I tried to ask.

He shook his head and sighed, "Yes, yes I am."

I lit up and smiled, maybe he could let me train with him! Maybe...
