Chapter 42: He's smart

Cordelia POV

Currently our class is having a written test, I studied a bit last night and woke up early to come and study in a rush in class this morning, I was really nervous. Perseus...

No joke, he came into class yawning with a sleeping mask, got to his desk and sleep. When the test started, Craig and Emma spread the papers and just placed on his desk without telling him or waking him up.

The test was hard too, it's not even multiple questions.

"Why do teachers always ask us to label shit that is in black and white? This academy has colored printers for gods' sakes." Alvis complained "I don't even know what I'm looking at."

"That's why I'm putting the big picture on the slide, now do your work and stop complaining." Craig responded

"But we can barely see, you have to turn off the lights." Greg said "Even the beast folk can't see."

"If I do, you lot would cheat, and this isn't one of Perseus' fictional stories where you're a ninja being encouraged to use your ability to cheat a test, there's a reason why me and my assistant walked around the class." Craig replied

I can't believe he made us do a 5 page test when most of the things we need is to practice fighting for the tower. Well that's what we assumed, but Perseus said that some dungeons test you about very unusual things, so knowledge is probably needed.

Funnily enough, Perseus just woke up, got up and walked to hand the test in to Craig.

"I might not like you very much, but I'm not the type to fail a student on purpose, please try to at least write on every question so I don't fail you." He said as he hand it back

"I did, can I have early recess now, I want to buy some food from the cafeteria."

Craig then looked back to the test papers and flipped through every page and scanned through everything as Perseus left for early recess. Some people took this opportunity to cheat since one is focused on the paper, but Emma just quickly caught them and deduct 50 from their grades.

"This fucker..." Craig muttered "He got it all right..."

"Didn't you make his test paper extra hard as well?" Emma asked

"I did because he is a ranked, but he got everything spot on. Shit!"

This guy...he's a bit too perfect to be true, isn't he? It's a harder test as well.

I'd probably get 85 at best at this point, but I should just strive to do my best, it's better than just giving up, Craig is the type to just give you extra credits because he likes you as well, so if then, I might get an A.

"Well you can always deduct a bit of his grades due to his dirty handwriting, I know he doesn't have the best since he is flawed with anything that is related to art." Emma suggested "You should try to see him draw, an baby would be Picasso compared to him. Heck, I'm surprised you can read it."

"You're just exaggerating, it is indeed dirty handwriting, but it's not unreadable, far from it. Tch. I'll go do a thorough check, but at this rate, I have to give him a 97." Craig replied "Wait, what's he doing outside?"

3rd person POV

Craig then opened the door to see Perseus eating cup noodles while sitting on the bench.

"Want some?" Perseus asked "I bought a couple, I can cook them up with hot water using magic."

"I can't believe you, how did you complete the test when you were sound asleep?" Craig asked

"I'm the protagonist, nothing's impossible, I can suddenly scream the top of my lungs right now and spiky yellow hair will come from the top of my head, hell blue even." Perseus shrugged

He then handed Craig a can of coffee which Craig accepted before he just blew on his noodles and eat them while Craig watches in a bit in disbelief.

"So how did I do on the assignment? Do you think I can pass the test tomorrow based on the mock test today?" Perseus asked "I just played video games the past day to relieve stress."

"That was...the actual test" Craig replied

Cordelia POV

So wait, he didn't even realized it was a test, he played video games all day, and he slept in class and he got the fucking best grades possible.

Dad, I'm seriously questioning how you find this guy? He's too perfect, and now he asked me to make me is partner, I already have expectations to succeed as a top raider in the future and I will, cuz if I want this guy, I need something to show for it at the very least.

Perseus then arrived back in class with a box of apple juice and a bottle of water with earphones on to listen to music as everyone is doing the tests.

After the test, everyone in class compared our answers and about half of us were devastated, I know that I'll get a good grade at the very least so I don't have to worry too much.

The class are currently all heading towards our next class where we apparently have to have a friendly competition with a B class. They get to work with us and evaluate their own weaknesses and what they lack so that they can work to get promoted to our class.

We have to learn how to further strengthen our talents and weaknesses while keeping an eye out, basically we are being called to be put on our tip toes so that we can't get careless and demoted

Perseus is forbidden from joining though since no one can beat him even if he sleeps, his skin can't be penetrated by certain grades of equipments and magic, and at our level, none of us would stand a chance even if we all ganged up on him.

"By the way, you didn't even write, how did you do the test?"

"Guess." he replied

"You sneaked into his office, found the test paper and did it beforehand."

"Smart, but no, I use magic to manipulate the pencil and write my answers as I sleep, I used dream magic to project the questions into my head and wrote what I know in my head."

"Wait, doesn't that mean you can see what's going on around you as you sleep?" Acacia asked

"Not all the time, but yes, I saw you and Lia take pictures of my sleeping face while I sleep, at least turn off the flash to not make it obvious."
