Kevin's eyes flickered with killing intent as he promptly opened his backpack and took out the dark blade.
Unknown to the panicking teenagers, the real danger was coming from the most unexpected place, from behind.
*Boom*
Another explosion hit the plane as Kevin's balance was shaken, causing him to fall to the ground. Fortunately, he still managed to keep his grip on his blade and not draw any attention to himself.
Kevin looked through the window and what filled his entire view were the dark beasts that had already reached the plane. Despite being a few feet apart, none of them had any way of breaking through the toughness of the surface.
-"Damn it, why won't it open?"
-"Did that woman abandon us?"
-"Are we going to die?"
Various fearful whispers spread throughout the airplane, seeing the doors fail to open yet another time.
Kevin himself had many doubts as he couldn't understand why the woman wouldn't open.
Only one possibility surfaced in Kevin's mind.
She is either dead or on a brink of death. After all, the front had a window that was clearly not as resistant as other parts.
Maybe the beasts are already out in front, bloodthirstily waiting for the doors to open so they can rush in.
'At least she was right....parachutes wouldn't be much help.'
Kevin's eyes flickered with deadly intent once again as he looked towards Markus, who was holding the woman's hand next to him in panic.
Kevin clearly understood the gruesomeness of the situation.
Being stuck in the middle of the ocean, with bird beasts slowly making their way inside, and panicking students.
The longer Kevin stays here, the more bitter the chances of survival.
'There's no other way' Kevin looked to the ground and mentally prepared himself to act. Although it wasn't the first time he killed a pacific person, it was still an unpleasant feeling.
"What are you doing?" One of the youths noticed Kevin walking to the front rows while holding a black blade that sent a few shivers down his spine.
"Listen up, we can't panic now," Kevin said loudly as everyone's eyes turned to him. Kevin eyed the group, seeing some people shaking, some crying, some praying.
"The strongest people in the class...stand up," Kevin added as silence spread across the plane.
The students looked at each other until nodding.
Three students stood up, including Markus and two others that Kevin didn't even look up at.
"We have to somehow break down the door and take control of the plane before we get killed," Kevin said aloud.
"But where is that lad--?" one of the students muttered, but the cold look Kevin gave him forced the student to shut up.
"No questions, we have to act fast," Kevin replied as the trio promptly moved forward and joined the struggling Laura, who was still trying to break down the door in a great rage.
Kevin clearly understood how she felt. After all, from the conversation he had overheard earlier, the two of them had to be genuine friends.
The trio began to push the door forward with all the strength they could muster, while neither of them noticed the similar appearance of the robbed woman.
The door was slowly, but steadily opening up while Kevin was looking at this scene from a distance with a smile.
*Boom*
Another blast hit the airplane as the struggling teens were once again forced to the ground. This time, however, the damage to the plane seemed to be severe, as Kevin felt a slight breeze on his neck.
Everyone looked astern in fright, noticing small but visible cracks on the back of the plane, which slowly continued to spread as more explosions followed.
Panic spread through everyone's cast while Kevin, on the other hand, smiled. Fortunately, his smile was left unnoticed as everyone was focused on the crack that was still spreading.
'That made my plan a lot easier,' Kevin thought as his eyes flickered with deadly intent again. Initially, Kevin was going to escape through the front because the material used here was almost indestructible, but now the plan shifted.
"Hey, your name is Markus, right?" Kevin looked towards the black-haired teenager, who still couldn't manage to get up from the floor because of the constant shakes.
"Yes...how do--"
Before Markus could say anything, he felt a sudden pain in his stomach. Startled, he looked down, only to see a black blade sticking out of his own body with blood spreading throughout his white t-shirt.
"Wh....what," Markus managed to mutter before his eyes rolled back, betokening that he was already dead. The surrounding students only heard a slight rumble as they all turned their gazes to Kevin, who was slowly cleaning his blade from blood.
Horror spread across everyone's faces as even Laura unintentionally let out a scream, which went unheeded.
"What... What did you just do?" one of the students muttered, causing everyone to startle out of their stupor.
"I asked what the hell did you just do!" the student roared as he attacked, punching forward.
However, another blast that hit the airplane forced him back to the ground while the cracks in the back spread more and more until finally, a small hole formed in the ground. Numerous dark creatures lurked beneath the airplane with some of them proceeding to spray their saliva forward.
A slight smile formed on Kevin's expression as he murmured:
"Obey, Markus"
Suddenly, the already cold body of Markus began to wrap itself in darkness, scaring the hell out of his friends. The student who wanted to attack Kevin earlier was the most terrified as he cowered in the corner of the vacant space.
"What the hell is going on?" Laura couldn't hold back her confusion anymore after seeing the standing Markus, completely shrouded in blackness.
*Boom*
Another tremor went through the plane as the hole grew in size once again.
While everyone was looking towards the hole, Kevin silently unsummoned Markus and turned around.
"Where do you think you're going!"
Despite the dangerous situation, some students couldn't suppress their emotions when they saw their friend's death and rushed forward.
However, before any of them could reach Kevin, who was already walking away, a dark creature rose from the ground and blocked the way.
"A galla-galland bear?" one of the students quavered as he saw the dark creature covering the entire territory, while visible cracks appeared under the tangle of its brown fur.
"Do it, Rum," Kevin pointed to the small hole in the ground as Rum's gaze strayed from the students.
With loud footsteps that left deep prints on the surface of the airplane, Rum lined up with Kevin.
After Kevin nodded, Rum took Kevin into its embrace as it curled up into a ball of fur.
"Use your god powers!" one of the students finally shouted, as if sensing that something bad was about to happen.
Everyone immediately activated their god powers except Laura, who was still standing in place, confused.
Elemental blasts, poison, pieces of metal, various kinds of attacks rushed towards Rum's back.
But just as the charges were about to land, Rum rolled towards the hole, causing a loud crash to overwhelm the vicinity. All the students were pushed to the ground while the attacks landed in the back of the airplane, causing a cloud of smoke to rise in the air.
"Did that psycho just jump out of the airplane?" one of the students muttered in horror as he saw the dust getting sucked into the hole in a matter of seconds.
No one could react in time as they felt an incredible force sucking them forward. Some of the students were immediately sucked away, only to get devoured by the ordeal of the flying beasts right after, while some managed to claw their fingers into the seats and stay on the plane.
"Shoot!!!" roared the beefy student who was clinging to one of the seats with all his might.
However, due to the force on everyone's bodies, it was impossible to properly execute any attacks. The only person, who still could naturally operate her body was Laura.
"I'm sorry, Gale" Laura whispered lightly as she opened the backpack on her back and took out a plastic bottle of water.
No one noticed how a strange bubble of water rose into the air.
Laura's hand flickered with bluish light as the water suddenly began to solidify until it formed a sharp spear.
Although it was made of water, the sharpness on it seemed livelier than the actual weapon.
*Boom*
Another shot landed on the already falling airplane as a beast's head poked out of the hole, sending a shiver down everyone's spine.
More and more beasts could be seen rushing through the hole until the back of the plane was completely covered in the shadows of the beasts.
The sucking power didn't seem to bother the beasts much, as they moved towards the teens with loud snarls.
The students were getting desperate as they couldn't even stand up properly to fight back due to the constant turbulence. The only thing they could manage was to simply await their death with no way out.
"This is all because of that bastard!" one of the students roared before adding, "I won't give up so easil---"
Suddenly, a loud bang sounded from behind, causing everyone to involuntarily turn around. However, the sight they saw caused the minority's eyes to flicker in confusion.
A beautiful woman with long golden hair that scattered around the vicinity because of the rising wind stood behind. A white mask covered the entirety of her face, making it difficult to be recognized.
However, what most of the students were looking towards, was a bluish spear in the woman's hand and a deep cut on the surface of the plane.
"I'm sorry classmates, I want to stay alive too," the woman muttered lightly before performing yet another two attacks on the wall. This time, however, the spear went straight through as a medium-sized hole obliged.
Before anyone could react, Laura jumped out of the hole, leaving the group of teenagers in the hands of fate.
However, deep inside, Luara knew.
This time, nothing will save her classmates from escaping the wrath of death.
