Chapter 9: Golem (1)

"We acknowledge you as our leader as a token of gratitude since we no longer trust the dead commander's second in command he ignored us, He; just led his group away and watched us fight those pink skins."

"Those cowards, they will face retribution eventually," Galnor stomped at the ground as he spat on the ground, showing his displeasure.

Uthred knew it very well. Rarely will you see orcs come to the rescue of their kin when their safety was at risk.

"We better move quickly. The enemy will come back soon and in greater numbers than before."

Thatrot said, his eyes staring far towards where the enemies retreated to.

Uthred led the group away. He was in a cheerful mood since his available points were now 106 and his new total of subordinates increased from three to seven.

***********

Exiting the cover of the trees, Uthred arrived at the old winding path towards the Lagmore Mountains and behind it was the land of the orcs, tribes scattered throughout the place and where the pinkskins won't dare follow them without a huge army, a huge army with numbers equal to or greater than the orc race.

The old winding path towards Lagmore Mountian was also without danger since golems and other monsters also visited it, which was far more dangerous than orcs are to humans.

Checking the surroundings for any signs of danger, Uthred was at the forefront while his subordinates followed him in groups of twos since the path only allowed two orcs to walk side by side. One side was the mountain wall while the other, was a ridge with a height that can injure or even kill even the strongest and toughest orc if they are dumb enough to not watch their steps.

***********

Further ahead, Uthred soon spotted a huge moving creature made of rocks, it was smashing the mountain walls with its fist, banging them with enough force that cause, some boulders to fall;l down and block the path.

The creature was over 10ft tall, with some parts of its body covered in sharp-pointed rocks, its legs were a huge group of rocks, bigger than Galnor's two legs combined, and some pieces of gems were embedded in his body, reflecting the rays of the sun.

"Seems like we're in for a tough fight Young one" Rakh stated the obvious, which earned him an unfriendly gaze from Mursha.

"HAHAHA, I heard golems are stronger and tougher creatures than orcs. I'm ready to test that theory." Galnor spoke and raised his weapon the tree trunk which he used as a club. He loved smashing things more than anything else.

"Eh, I hope not." Thatrot couldn't help but mutter with a tone of helplessness as he started picking up rocks from the surroundings and piling them up together ready to hurl them at the enemy also made up of rocks.

Uthred didn't know what to do, a golem that wasn't included in any of his past lives and of this body's measly memories.

"Uh, How do you fight a golem?" He couldn't help but ask the seven of them since he did not know of these tough creatures.

"If we can immobilize and destroy its legs, it's our victory!"

Raksha commented while busily rummingling around his bag, a bag made of crudely sewn together animal skins. he was sorting out which of his jars will work on this golem.

"I'll crush those legs"

Galnor was roaring to engage the still busy golem pounding its fist on the mountain wall. Uthred couldn't help but think of Galnor as a muscle head, like one of his men back on his 5th past life in Rome, he didn't think nor plan anything like Galnor, just acting on instincts which made Uthred wonder how he survived the many missions they were tasked with.

Slowly inching forward, with nervous but steady steps, Uthred and his crew approached the busy golem. Their hearts were heavy but beating fast with excitement like Galnor, they moved stealthily as possible.

'Bang' Game' 'Bang'

The golem continued pounding the mountain walls, still oblivious to the approaching danger. Galnor being a muscle head as hew as, shouted loudly and madly rushed forward as Uthred stared at him with annoyance and surprise.
