Deception in the Shadow Game - 7

***

Gojo's POV and thoughts.

When I first found myself in this new world, with Dark Magician Girl as my loyal companion, I couldn't help but feel skeptical about all this. I had little to no knowledge of who she truly was, aside from the fact that she was a Duel Spirit who rarely spoke (like literally in the anime she barely spoke), except for a significant moment during the Seal of Orichalcos incident (Where she spoke to Yugi and the Pharaoh). It was Dark Magician Girl who had first extended a friendly hand and initiated a conversation with me. Over time, I had the opportunity to get to know her better and gain a deeper understanding of her character.

I have learned that before she became my companion for life. Originally, her role and duty were to help and care for weaker Duel Spirits, as well as to protect them from harm. There was a spirit world somewhere in this academy and she was living there (Not the well, but she knows about it. She rarely drops by and helps comfort the thrown away spirits / cards).

Dark Magician Girl was so much more than a Duel Spirit. She embodied the essence of a magician girl who valued justice and was completely dedicated to protecting the world. She took on the role of caretaker, and it had become an inseparable part of her identity, especially after the death of her previous master, Mana. Dark Magician, her mentor, had been chosen as the Pharaoh's faithful companion. She was truly alone, you could say. Despite her solitude, her dedication to assisting and protecting others was unwavering. She was like a cog in just doing things and helping people in need if possible.

I couldn't help but feel guilty because she was here most of the time instead of caring for the poor and weak spirits. She also wanted to be by my side all of the time. However, I realized she was also keeping a close eye on me, deeply concerned about my well-being and whether I was truly prepared for the enormous responsibility of saving the world. She recognizes that taking on the role of 'protecting the world' is a ridiculous task and an extremely heavy burden that should not be taken lightly.

It would be enough to drive a normal human insane with expectation and burden. Maybe if I went to an actual isekai world with monsters to slay with my own hands and weapons, that would have been true. But this is the mother fucking world of goddamn card games. She smacked my logic away and began to look at me with concern and puppy eyes, no matter how many times I tried to explain it to her.

I never learned of her fate after the GX show. She did make a cameo appearance in GX during one of the episodes on Spirit Day. However, I don't know if she met her end in the spirit world while defending against external threats or any other circumstance. It's a mystery to me as well because she never appeared again in 5Ds or the other shows. (I never bothered watching after 5ds too). Which is why I did my best to pamper her, spoil her, and listen to her demands. She has been doing this (protecting the world) and not receiving anything.

Without fail, a sixth of each day was dedicated to our intimate moments in bed. This ritual had evolved into a sacred rule from the very beginning of our "marriage." It was a non-negotiable demand she made, insisting that this daily practice could not be skipped. A quarter of the day, at a minimum of 8 hours, was allocated for sleep, occasionally extending even longer for reasons I couldn't quite understand. It's strange how I keep getting more tired than before.

Every day, half of the day has already passed by the time I get ready for work. We do pull all-nighters on occasion, but they can last much longer. The housekeepers that come to clean sometimes appear to be resentful, and there are times when they ask me what the hell am I doing 'alone' at night. 💀 It was challenging to explain the peculiar scent lingering in the room, and Dark Magician Girl always found amusement in that.

***

I've recently been going outside to get some fresh air. When I finally went out, Dark Magician Girl was so proud of me that she burst into tears. She knows I enjoy being a hermit in my own room because there is so much to do with my own gate of infinity. As for why I'm venturing out now and then, well, I've always wanted to explore the island. I had secretly been attempting to locate the spirit world on my own, driven by my desire to find Silent Magician. 💀It was a dark secret I kept hidden, fearful of incurring my wife's jealousy. Naturally, she tagged along with me because she would never allow me to be alone.

~

My magical theory education has been solely through Dark Magician Girl's teachings, which were mostly summarized. I've managed to grasp the essence of various spells and their effects. I have come to understand, it is fucking useless to me as I cannot even use it to begin with. Well, all that time was useless, except for that I had Dark Magician Girl cosplay in a hot teacher outfit when doing so. So, it evened it out.

~

Ever since I stepped out of that room, I've been strolling around the campus, occasionally catching the attention of fellow students and even running into Jaden and his crew. Mostly I ran away from Jaden's group because I didn't want to be dragged and forced to watch a kid's trading card game. For me it was more like going on a little outing together with Dark Magician Girl like a date of sorts. Which only resulted in me going back to my room with her when she got all so happy and excited from the date.

~

Since my duel with Jaden, rumors escalated about my appearance here and there. Many tried to replicate me, but they all looked like dumbasses when doing so. Since, it was confirmed that I was Gojo Satoru who wears all black, has an aura of mysterious and clear white hair. And I am the only one in the academy who fits that description. The confirmation came from the accounts of Jasmine, Mindy, Alexis, Jaden, Syrus, and even Professor Banner.

And another rumor, this time about Jaden, lost to me in one turn. Reasonably of course. Too many people were interested in this after hearing the monsters in detail that were summoned. Confirmed by the previous mention above, except for Professor Banner. The whole academy was in chaos when they heard that. They were all eager to meet me and duel me. The rumors had a lot of people ranging haters were hating, and crushes were crushing, despite the fact that most of them had never even seen me.

In an unexpected turn of events, Professor Crowler appeared to be overjoyed and possibly even emotional, celebrating with great zeal after meticulously reviewing the dueling results—a privilege reserved for only the Duel Academy's most esteemed members and professors. He, too, confirmed the shocking rumors, confirming that Jaden had indeed been defeated in a single turn. Of course, he didn't bother looking into how. He was just that happy.

~

People can no longer see me in public now that I'm wearing the ring of invisibility after being nearly groped by a swarm of fangirls and fanboys. Duel Academy has students who are simping for Harpie ladies and other questionable things, which explains a lot about their sexuality. Of course, Dark Magician Girl begged me not to kill the students in front of me for trying to touch me. At the time, I had no choice but to teleport myself out with her.

And so, times had passed.

***

Winter break had arrived, and the entire academy seemed to be, well, supposedly empty.

"Hey, husband, we have this whole island to ourselves!~" Dark Magician Girl playfully chimed, snuggling up to me.

But then, her tone took a drastic shift. "Let's hunt that son of a bitch, already!" she declared with an icy determination.

That's right, Jinzo had made an appearance on this island, if my memory serves me right. Some dumbasses had the audacity to really mess with a Oujia board. And fucked up summoning and summoned Jinzo 💀. I bet they were trying to summon Dark Magician Girl.

After the dumbasses not only messed with the Oujia board, but also made a contract with this crazy spirit. The students had failed to fulfill that contract because they were unsure of what the payment was, and now they were being pursued one by one. Given that Jinzo had assumed the role of the seeker and some random Obelisk student had assumed the role of the hider, our strategy was to strategically wait for Jinzo to reveal himself to Jaden now before jumping and beating him up. It's a game of cops (Jinzo) and robbers (Obelisk Blue Mob) …and the military(me).

"We have given him enough time. Husband~" Dark Magician Girl pouted, a hint of impatience in her voice. "Let's dispose of him."

"You are saying some scary things." I replied. "It's better if we just let Jinzo trap himself while setting up a shadow game with Jaden. There's no reason to search all over the island and chase after him if he's going to reveal himself. We just have to wait for him to do it." I explained.

As I spoke, Dark Magician Girl, still holding me close, responded with a thoughtful "Hmmmmmmm. I still don't like it."

That was when it happened. We felt it, a presence that had been faint was now growing stronger.

We both got out of bed, and I wrapped one arm around Dark Magician Girl's waist before teleporting us to the academy's Red Dormitory.

The Red Dormitory was deserted, and the front entrance to the cafeteria was already shattered. There was no one in sight.

"Husband?" Dark Magician Girl's voice held a chilling edge. "You were saying?"

"They could be at the power grid," I replied.

"And?" Dark Magician Girl's tone grew darker. "So, we just abandoned Jaden and his friends, leaving Jaden to face Jinzo alone in a shadow game that might have already begun?"

"In my defense," I began to explain, "I don't remember everything or the timing of all events happening." I swiftly lifted Dark Magician Girl up in a princess carry, and I began to leap into the sky, scanning the horizon to locate the duel's whereabouts. Eventually, our attention was drawn to a brilliant light in the distance, prompting us to fly towards it.

~

"Jaden! Your legs!" Syrus cried out in sheer horror, his voice filled with terror as he witnessed Jaden's rapidly dwindling life points and saw his body fading away, starting from the bottom, transforming into spirits or hologram.

"I'm fine. But what's happening?!" Jaden gritted his teeth. The fact that he still had some life points on him was something he held onto.

"I'm collecting on our deal!" Jinzo rejoiced with a sinister grin. "You have lost half your life points, so I'm taking half your life force, and it feels so goood!"

[I told you we should have dealt with him immediately. Look at what's happening to Jaden!] Dark Magician Girl reprimanded me.

[Ah, but have you ever heard of the concept of character development? He needs to go through this, so he can grow stronger in the upcoming duels. It's necessary! He's a man too! He can handle this.] I reasoned that because it's true Jaden won this duel anyways.

[No, husband! He's dying right before our eyes. This experience could shatter his entire perception of dueling. You've always said he's a carefree dueling enthusiast. What if he's no longer the same happy joyful person about dueling? Think, husband, think! We need to save him, now!] Dark Magician Girl pointed at the thing going on.

Regrettably, she was also right about that. In comparison to watching it in an anime, the reality of the situation would be genuinely frightening from a resident perspective of this world. I could see the fear in Jaden's eyes, a subconscious recognition that this duel might lead to his death.

Then a change happened. I could barely understand it, but Jaden's presence seemed to grow, as if the very world itself was demanding his victory.

"I'm not going to let you take me, Jinzo! I will duel to the end!" Jaden declared with a hoarse voice, reigniting himself with a newfound sense of confidence and determination.

'Was that some sort of plot armor? What happened to his fear?' My eyes widened as I noticed a ridiculous sudden shift in Jaden's aura.

[Plot armor? What does that mean?] Dark Magician Girl asked, clearly confused by my mental commentary.

[Don't worry about that, babe. I'm intervening right now.] I responded promptly and changed the conditions of the duel by using my technique.

I'm not sure what that really was, but if it was plot armor, then it definitely has limitations. It's best if he conserves it or saves it for future shadow games. This one is simply awful.

***

"You did a good job, Jaden. Remember that feeling," echoed a new voice.

The unexpected interruption left everyone startled and taken aback.

"Where's that voice coming from?!" Chumnely asked, his voice laced with fear.

Jaden's once-confident, blazing aura had instantly dissipated, replaced by a blend of surprise and fear.

"Was that Gojo?" Jaden asked, a sense of dread mixing with relief upon hearing his voice.

It was at this moment that Jinzo found the newcomer and turned his gaze toward him.

Jinzo fell into an uneasy silence, a whirlwind of thoughts swirling in his mechanical mind. Was this an interference of some kind? He can even see and feel the presence of a duel spirit next to the newcomer, this spirit had a substantial life force. Yet, he was aware that his strength surpassed hers. It was frustrating how they had chosen to intervene at this very moment.

Jaden, Syrus, Chumenly and Professor Banner all turned their heads to look for the source of the voice and they were astounded when they spotted him standing next to the electrical power grid.

"Gojo!?" The members of the human group were left dumbfounded, their jaws dropping in surprise. 'You were still here on this island?' They had all assumed he'd be the first to leave this place.

With his hand nonchalantly nestled in his pocket, Gojo continued to watch the duel unfold. Then, with a graceful motion, he withdrew his right hand and elegantly twirled his index and middle fingers.

"Let's take things up a notch." With a wide, mischievous grin, He declared.

"Domain Expansion, Unlimited Void (modified version)" Trapping everyone inside the domain.

***

In this world, dueling is not only just a game; it is a sacred practice that demands adherence to the chivalrous code of dueling. Engaging in a Shadow Game is the most sacred form of dueling, as it puts one's life on the line, with the winner demanding something from the loser, and forcibly joining one is strictly prohibited. Any attempt to do so would, by natural and magical means, banish the intruder to the Shadow Realm (Hell or whatever they called it in Japan). However, this extreme measure is rarely tested due to the universally accepted common sense within this world.

This is precisely why Shadow Games were an exceedingly rare occurrence in this world and strictly prohibited; they represented the utmost danger.

The modified Domain Expansion, known as Unlimited Void and crafted by R.O.B., serves a unique purpose: it challenges the world's chivalrous dueling norms while adhering to the rules of this dueling realm, thereby allowing Gojo to participate. So, without modified domain expansion, he is essentially going to hell for attempting to stop or intervene in a shadow game. At least that's what R.O.B. explained to him. This modified domain allows him to join in the duel with a penalty.

The penalty is immediately applied when Gojo opens the domain. He will have a starting life point of 2000, and further additionally reduced by half for every duelist on his team that is dueling together with him. His starting hand consists of five blank cards, and further reduced by one for each additional duelist on his side. But by opening this domain he has the absolute advantage of immediately starting and can attack once with a monster. And here, what was originally Jaden's turn now becomes Gojo's turn, before eventually returning to Jaden.

A/N: If another duelist is already participating alongside Jaden in the duel against Jinzo, the penalty starts and begins accordingly.

Someone + Jaden, and then Gojo joins vs Jinzo = 4 cards, 1000 LP

Except for Gojo Satoru and Dark Magician Girl, any duelist whose life points reach zero will experience an overwhelming influx of information. In the case they survive the influx of information their soul will be damned and taken to the shadow realm.

It's worth noting the sure-hit effect is used to immediately inform everyone within the domain to provide them with all the crucial information, in line with the rules and penalty. Any attempt to escape this domain without permission will result in instant banishment to the Shadow Realm (Except Gojo and Dark Magician Girl).

A/N: It's like that restless gambler domain expansion information dump.

***

The spectacle left everyone in a state of shock, finding themselves in the boundless expanse of space. And then when the information was dumped. Jaden and his friends were surprised that Gojo could do that.

While unbelievable, the duelists have to wait for Gojo's turn to proceed unless they have a quick effect.

"Make your move already!" Jinzo's voice carried a note of impatience and annoyance as he is now facing two opponents.

"Hey cursed spirit!" I yelled at Jinzo.

"I am an evil spirit not a cursed spirit!" Jinzo retorted angrily.

"Say Shacon!" I yelled at him ignoring what he said.

"Shacon? What? What is that?" He was utterly confused.

"Sha Con Deez Nuts! Haaaa, got 'em." I burst into loud laughter as I activated my duel disk.

[????] Dark Magician Girl was confused.

[Sorry, that's a Western joke from my world. It's a way of playfully saying 'suck my balls' (ballsacks). But the balls have been replaced with 'these nuts,' so when someone asks, 'suck on what?' (ShaCon). We catch them off guard by saying Sha Con Deez Nuts, phrases and such.]

[You guys…are so immature.] Dark Magician Girl sighed, though she couldn't help but smile.

Jaden took a moment to process what I had just said. Then, he glanced at his crotch, gasped, and burst into laughter.

Syrus and the others were left utterly flabbergasted, struggling to contain their own laughter.

Clearly, this was a joke that only the guys could truly appreciate.

[All of you guys are immature*] Dark Magician Girl corrected herself with an amused smile.

'At least this should lighten up Jaden's mood,' I thought as I drew five cards to make my move.

"You dare mock me? Make your move before I end you." Jinzo angrily yelled.

"Do you not want to know? How I attained this power. My own shadow realm?" I lied to Jinzo in amusement.

Jinzo seemed taken aback by my question. "So, what if you can do it?" he replied defensively. "I can open a shadow game!"

"What if I told you only need to chant some incantations in order to manifest yourself without relying on some useless souls?" I naturally lied as I breathed.

Dark Magician Girl knows I'm lying but was interested in where this lie is going.

Jinzo appeared shocked by this revelation. "What?" he exclaimed.

"Yes, only by reciting these incantations could a cursed spirit like you attain power to manifest yourself. I'm genuinely curious if you can, if you dare." I lied as naturally as I breathe, while taunting him all the same.

As I gestured toward Dark Magician Girl, subtly enough for only a few to see, I added, "And as for evidence, just take a look at my duel spirit here. She is so alive and lovely. Impress me, cursed spirit."

"Duel spirit? Where?" Jaden looked around, puzzled.

Unbeknownst to the humans present, Dark Magician Girl had purposefully concealed herself from their sight, despite Jaden's ability to see spirits. She had decided to remain hidden, only revealing herself to other spirits. Only Jinzo and the cat, Pharaoh, could perceive her presence.

"I see! Then tell me what I must chant!" Jinzo greedily asked.

[So…What're you planning?] Dark Magician Girl asked with an eyebrow raised.

[Remember my lies to the Gods.]

[No… Way.] She expressed disbelief at the twisted lie I was about to tell Jinzo to manipulate him.

[Yes way.]

"Gojo, what are you doing?!" Jaden asked in utter shock.

"Jaden, trust me, I'm the strongest," I reassured him with a thumbs-up gesture. He reluctantly backed down, putting his faith in my actions.

The others couldn't help but be dumbfounded by what I had just said. I was about to grant power to Jinzo, who had been attempting to steal lives.

In an instant, a very bright radiant golden light materialized around Jinzo. A millennium pendant (though a fake modified one) had appeared on his neck. Jinzo immediately recognized the significance of this, understanding that I was deadly serious this time.

[Husband… This is fucked up.] Dark Magician Girl eyes widen at what predicament Jinzo was going to be in.

Everyone witnessed the astonishing sight as a Millennium Pendant materialized on Jinzo, leaving them in a state of shock.

"GOJO? IS THAT YOUR DOING?! STOP IT!" Professor Banner shouted in alarm.

I turned to face him and replied calmly, "Skilled diff." Then, I redirected my attention to Jinzo, who was now gazing at me with intense greed.

"Excellent. Now, tell me the incantation, and I'll demonstrate my newfound power!" Jinzo roared with excitement.

"Hoh?! Very well," I began with a grave tone. "Observe the sky above and repeat these lines ten times, with full intention and respect at the end of each line."

"Shitty Mother of Light, Holactie, heed my call! The Sacred Beast will triumph you all!" I recited the line for Jinzo. His task was to repeat these lines ten times, with the genuine intention behind each repetition. "That's it," I informed Jinzo, waiting to see if he would comply with this unusual ritual.

Instead of a duel, we're doing something crazy that a cult would do.

Jaden watched the spectacle unfold, his confusion growing with each passing second. As he reflected on those chants, Jaden noticed a resemblance. But, for some inexplicable reason, he didn't quite grasp what they meant. 'Sacred beasts?' he wondered.

I muttered softly, almost unheard by anyone, "Oh, almighty God, Protector of Sky, Heaven, and Earth."

[...] She couldn't believe this shit was happening again.

Jinzo wholeheartedly believed in the incantation, sensing a surge of life energy coursing through the Millennium Pendant as I recited the line for him. Little did he know, I was in control of the power output of the pendant.

"I beg of thee, heed my call, appear before me, and grace me in this humble game. But first, I shall call out thy names, Slifer, Obelisk, and Ra," I continued in a whispered tone, while pretending to be weakened now, as if Jinzo's supposed strength was genuinely affecting me.

"Shitty Mother Of Light, Holactie, heed my call! The sacred beast will triumph you all!" Jinzo repeated with utmost reverence, his gaze fixed upon the sky. As he was feeling the course of energy flowing through him, giving birth to him.

Unbeknownst to Jinzo, the Egyptian Gods had manifested in my cards, and they were far from pleased. I could sense their intense emotions resonating within the cards I held.

As Jinzo continued to chant with increasing fervor, I decided it was time to unleash the full potential of the Millennium Pendant. I lifted the seal I had placed on it, allowing an intense flow of positive energy to surge within Jinzo, revitalizing him. The pendant glowed brilliantly, and he roared each line of the incantation even louder than before, delivering them with unwavering respect. It got to the point he had even materialized right in front of me.

"GOJO! THIS IS MADNESS!" Professor Banner screamed in horror watching Jinzo manifesting.

Everyone, however, paid no attention to Professor Banner's words, their attention being completely absorbed by the transformation taking place before them. Jinzo's transformation from a mere duel spirit and hologram to a tangible, living entity was taking place in real time, capturing their full attention.

Syrus and Chumley stood there, almost petrified, watching the spectacle unfold. Jaden clenched his teeth as he observed Jinzo's overwhelming surge of energy, which now emitted a dark aura enveloping his entire body, resembling a Super Saiyan in his newfound power.

"Yes. YES! Shitty Mother Of Light Holcatie, heed my call! The sacred beast will triumph you all!" Jinzo roared looking into the sky as if he was filled with unlimited life energy. Unaware my gods card was staring at him with the full intention of delivering divine punishment.

"I thank the protector of Egypt, for answering my call. For I stand on the brink of defeat, but with your presence, I am now confident in my victory in this game," I expressed my genuine gratitude. "But I must apologize to the Great Sun God Ra and the Almighty Sky God Slifer today. I request the use of the God of Obelisk for this duel, to ensure Jinzo's life points reach zero in a single turn. (I did summon all three so they could all watch)"

Within the Egyptian Gods, conflicting emotions stirred. They all personally desired Jinzo's death. But I have chosen Obelisk.

"I require Obelisk to end this game and put an end to this madness! Please, I must help my friend," I begged, feigning worry as I purposely glanced toward Jaden (I don't really care). My whisper carried a tone of deep concern, causing the other Egyptian Gods who were not chosen to withdraw, unsure of how to proceed. But they had stayed to watch.

[You…are crazy.] Dark Magician Girl telepathically expressed her frustration, her tone a blend of worry, anxiety, and concern. This time, she didn't try to stop me, recognizing that this was a legitimate utilization of the Egyptian gods. Moreover, I had orchestrated the scenario flawlessly, with no hint of foul play. Even Jinzo appeared to genuinely believe in the chant.

"Yes! YESSS! THIS FEELING!" Jinzo exclaimed, clearly elated and experiencing an exhilarating high from the Millennium Pendant.

I had dedicated nearly a week channeling positive energy into that object. Inwardly, I winced at the sight of how rapidly the object was depleting its energy. That's a week's worth of labor in my spare time! At this rate, it seemed like he might even evolve into that XYZ Jinzo.

"Is that all?" As I watched Jinzo glowed menacingly with a black aura around him. As Jinzo finished absorbing the content and reciting the line ten times, the millennium pendant shattered to dust.

"Hmph, I don't know who you are. Or what those sacred beasts are. But mark my words, once this is done, I'll make sure to use this power to end you, especially after your mockery," Jinzo declared with a sense of self, the energy coursing through him, making him feel incredibly alive. "But I must thank y—"

"You're feigning ignorance! I'm going to start now!" I interrupted him.

"Hmph? Very well, then," Jinzo retorted with a sinister, dark laugh. "Make your move, for it shall indeed be your last."

'Finally, something I can understand.' Jaden secretly thought.

It was beginning to seem like it was Gojo dueling against Jinzo now.

Gojo, 2000 LP, 5 cards in hand, [3 Egyptian God cards. 2 consumables.]

Jinzo 2500 LP, 5 cards in hand, 1 continuous spell card out in the field, and 1 monster on field.

Jaden 1800 LP, 4 cards in hand and 2 face down in field.

'He better have a plan,' Jaden thought to himself, his concern evident as he glanced in my direction. 'Especially after this duel. Jinzo is real now,' Jaden worriedly concluded. 'I don't know how to deal with a genuine duel monster in real life.'

"Once more, guys. Jaden and the others, please shut up!" I feign exhaustion as he glanced at their direction. I threw in a subtle wink, which might have appeared as an eye twitch to some, but Jaden and the others recognized it as a signal.

'So, he does have one.' Jaden's eyes widened in realization. He then opted to observe the ongoing duel with keen interest. They had a feeling when Gojo said shut up. It means he's serious.

Syrus and Chumley exchanged bewildered glances.

"Did he just wink at us?" Syrus whispered.

"That means he has a plan, right?" Chumley responded.

"Ahhhhh, this is scaring me," Syrus admitted, nervously glancing around.

"Is it me, or does this place feel like it is looking at me?" Chumley added, sensing something amiss as he stared at the void.

Professor Banner, on the other hand, was deeply confused. Why was Gojo feigning weakness? What does he know about the sacred beast? And that name... had he heard it before? Also is this his ability to set up his shadow game? How on earth did he obtain it? So many new questions are circulating his brain to the point he doesn't even know where to begin.

Gradually, it became apparent to Professor Banner that Gojo possessed knowledge far surpassing what he had known. Perhaps he could use him to gain what he wants!

"Jinzo! I shall bring an end to your madness and restore peace to the world! For I am the embodiment of justice," I declared, pretending to muster my strength before striking a jojo pose.

[Hey, babe, I'm kind of doing that thing, like when you make an appearance in duels,] I telepathically said, attempting to mimic her usual appearance in duels while adding my own touch.

[Shut up!] Dark Magician Girl retorted, clearly annoyed, her cheeks tinted with a blush.

"Huh? What?" Jinzo was taken aback, utterly baffled by my sudden change in demeanor and action. He couldn't help but wonder if I had lost my mind.

"It means, I summon Ra's disciple!" I normal summon my monster card in attack mode.

Ra's disciple, lvl 4 1100 attack points,

"Is this...?" Professor Banner's jaw dropped as he understood my strategy, his eyes widening at the spectacle before him.

"I will now activate Ra's Disciple's special ability. When this monster is summoned, I can special summon up to two more Ra's Disciples from my hand or deck," I explained as I summoned two additional copies from my deck.

Three monsters now stood on my side of the field.

"Now, I play my spell card, Double Summon. This allows me to perform another normal summon, but I'm going to use it for a tribute summon!" I declared.

Jinzo was visibly confused, trying to comprehend my tactics.

"I sacrifice all three of my Ra's Disciples, to summon one of the legendary Gods of Egypt!"

Professor Banner's shock intensified as he watched me perform this incredible feat.

"No way! What!" Jaden exclaimed in utter disbelief, mirroring the astonishment of Chumley and Syrus, who were both beside themselves horrified at what they just heard.

"Return to this realm and show your might, Obelisk The Tormentor!" I shouted, sliding the now-glowing blue card from my hand into my Duel Disk.

A burst of intense light erupted from the Duel Disk's holographic projector as the card made contact with the device. The arena was bathed in a brilliant azure glow, and the ground trembled beneath the summoned deity's sheer power.

Obelisk The Tormentor roared to life, its colossal form emerging from the radiant holographic display. Its massive, God-like figure towered over the field, sending shockwaves throughout the arena.

"WHAT!?" Jinzo exclaimed, his disbelief overwhelmingly evident. An Egyptian God? That couldn't be possible! They were supposed to be long gone and nonexistent in the present day.

"You! Who are you?!" Jinzo roared in abject terror, his voice quivering with fear.

"Obelisk. Destroy his monster and kill him with Fist of Fury!" I commanded, making a punch gesture toward Jinzo, with Obelisk mirroring my action.

"NO!!! NO!!! NO!!! NO!!!" Jinzo's desperate cries echoed through the void, his horror growing as he saw Obelisk's colossal fist collide with his monster. This collision caused shock waves to rip across the entire void. Then the unavoidable happened. The unyielding power of Obelisk's Fist of Fury reached Jinzo, delivering a devastating, cataclysmic blow that sealed his fate.

Upon the impact of Obelisk The Tormentor's, Fist of Fury, Jinzo's life, soul, and spirit were extinguished in a mere instant. The moment his monster was destroyed by Obelisk's might. Jinzo had no means of escape as the Unlimited Void overwhelmed him with infinite information. He stood there, defenseless, taking the devastating punch from Obelisk.

The blow was so powerful that it shattered the domain's barrier from within. The shockwave from Obelisk's punch even extended to the sky, which had been obscured in darkness, instantly restoring daylight. The god who had appeared nodded in satisfaction and slowly faded away. My card, which had taken the form of Obelisk, reverted to its original blank state. The same could be said with the other two god cards.

Author's Note: The barrier weakened the moment Jinzo's life points hit zero, thereby ending the shadow game. However, it is worth noting that the barrier can still remain.

'Man, he was so pissed. He knocked the nightlight out of him.' I whistled, nodding my head as if I understood Obelisk's fury.

[You're the one who pissed him off!] Dark Magician Girl retorted sharply.

[Nawh, babe he (Jinzo) did.]

The duel was over.

As the barrier shattered, Jaden, Syrus, Chumley, and Professor Banner collapsed, utterly exhausted and unconscious on the floor.

With a sigh, I placed them alongside the other unconscious Obelisk Blue students and then dropped a generous amount of supply of food from my gate of infinity. 'If I recall, they don't have much food,' I reasoned.

It was also my hope that they would forget the events that had happened. Oh, who am I kidding they're going to die from shock when they wake up.

"Hey, babe can you erase their memories?" I asked.

"Okay, let me go do that." With a swing of Dark Magician Girl's wand, "Hah!" She directed a burst of magic at everyone's heads, effectively erasing their memories of the events of the past hour. Including the cat.
