Chapter forty four

The sky was dark and the wind blew from side to side there has been a serious war between two kingdom, the dust was filled with black ashes which could be seen everywhere as houses and properties was set a blaze. The son of the king was murder last night by one of the palace maids, they were said to have a relationship of master and slave, the prince had bedded her and she was favoured among others but a time came for the prince to pick a partner and this caused a controversy. The maid was part of the witches that resided in the village and when she had been informed that the crown prince had been given a woman to wife, she grew jealous and greedy although the prince still favoured her she was not satisfied whenever she was asked to perform some task for the soon to be wife of the prince she would get furious and most times hurt her with little spell a day came and she was figured out and was kicked out the palace, this didn't help matters as the maid felt humiliated and swore to seek revenge even if her life was speared she left for her village and there she made plans for herself.

Finally the day of the marital alliance between the prince and the princess chosen for him came and there at the celebration the prince as well as his wife was killed in their bedroom that night. The royal household figured who had done this and the king swore to end the existence of all witches that resided in clover because they all conspired together and killed his only heir that night there was a blood bath as all the houses of the witches were burnt and several of the witches killed, the ones who survived fleed and there and then a seal was made to prevent any creature apart from the vampires to reside among humans.

**Present

"I don't want our son to repeat the same mistake his late brother did." Yu yang said as she bit her lips to hold back her tears.

"I know he won't."

"You know how hard it was for us to have kids after that incident, I don't want to lose my boy." the queen looked up to her husband with tears in her eyes as the event that happened this morning had scared her so much it had brought thought of a long past she had tried to forget.

"it's ok stop crying now come with me, it has started to rain you wouldn't want to catch a cold now would you?." the king said as he guided his wife to the bed and laid with her.

"We have to protect him."

"we will."

Muzak who had been with his father walked down the stairs as he made his way to his room he seemed so happy and all high-spirited as he hummed to a sound known to him

" hm mm hmm hmm hmm" and he saw zila who looked a bit pissed taking large strolls towards the corridor "Hello brother." he said in a playful tone. Zila looked up at Muzak and didn't say a word "uhh who upset you why do you look so stoned huh?." muzak asked

"if it's clear why bother ask?." zila said.

"haha don't be a spoilt brat huh learn to respect your elders it rude to question a question from a higher level dictator."

"Hmm good to know but who cares?." and with this zila walked away he has been searching for his sister for a while now and couldn't find her, he had asked the maid but still no one seemed to know, he was paranoid and hurt by the injustice done today, that maid didn't have to be given such punishment . zila pushed Muzak to the side and walked away as he kept his search for his sister going.

***Village

Since the celebration Bianca has been overwhelmed, she didn't know how to explain how she felt in one night she found out a guard wasn't a guard but a prince and this prince had made out with her, she was embarrassed and confused but then a knock distracted her.

"Time to eat."

"Alright I'm coming." Bianca said as she quickly freshened up and went to eat, today grandma was at the table and Bianca was so glad. "How are you feeling grandma." she asked with a sweet smile.

"I'm good my dear how was your night?."

"it was awesome ma." Bianca smiled as she helped set the table.

"I can see." Grandma said as they all began to eat and everyone could see how Fred was dotting towards Bianca he would place some meats in her plate as he complained how slender she was, everyone apart from the grandma was pleased, grandma felt unhappy with what the Ray's where doing "Do you think this is proper." she said and the place became quiet, Fred held his fork tightly as he knew what she was directing at

"What isn't proper grandma?."

"This?."

"Taking care of each other?." Becky said

"Don't act like you have no idea what I mean, Fred we spoke about this, this is not right she had stayed her for months now a month to go and it would be a year none of you have ever been welcoming towards her till this, all of you are using her because she's naive and young you all are fooling her." grandma said ignoring Becky's word

"Please grandma." Fred said with gritted teeth.

"Please? what happened to sending her out hm I heard of that Incase you all are wondering and yes Becky I thought you had blantly called her names so what changed you all are being insensitive towards this young lady and it is unfair you are supposed to let her enjoy her options and make her own decisions you all are caging her."

"Oh grandma you know your not doing well please don't strain yourself too much." Fred mother said cunningly as she rubbed her hands together as she looked at Bianca who was silent listening to them.

"She's only a minor, you all are repeating what ray had done in the past you people are clearly like your father trying to take advantage of a young innocent girl!."

BAM!!

"And I haven't done anything yet!." everyone was startled by Fred outburst he had hit his hand on the table hard he breathed fast as he stared at his grandma.

"It doesn't matter if you have not, you know she is too young to understand all this but we all do, you are doing this just to tie her down and have her make you babies with unique features like her you are turning her to a slave."

"I'm not ma, I'm not that kind of person!."

"Then why show all these things now hmm why is it necessary she's your blood!."

"Blood? she came from a different lineage ma and you know that and if! tomorrow she grows up to not feel the same as I do and she decide to leave I wouldn't stop her, she has a choice in this."

"Does she?."

"Yes."

"So have you stopped for once to ask what that choice is?." grandma said and Fred became silent.

"Ma." Becky called out to her.

"You all are manipulating her."

"ma."

"Stop it Becky I'm speaking." grandma said in rage, Bianca on the other hand could just stare at them display in front of her, the only thing she had in her mind now was the kiss with the prince, she didn't even know what they were saying as her entanglement with Fred was a little matter compared to her relationship to the prince but suddenly she heard her grandma and Fred get into a heated argument and suddenly he pushed grandma unintentionally and this stunned everyone including her, immediately grandma was helped up by Bianca and she declared they were leaving Bianca had no say as grandma was her guardian and it wasn't like here had ever been home to her she was aware that everyone disliked her till Fred decided to make closure with her, she has always seen him as an amazing and responsible older brother but the same couldn't be said about him, she recalled how he had tried to kiss her and she felt disappointed.

"Go get your things, we are leaving we can't stay here anymore."

"Yes grandma."

"She's not going anywhere." Fred said in anger as he held bianca's hand tightly.

"I brought her here and I'll send her out, do not aggravated me young lad." and those where the last words before they left, Fred was angry he couldn't believe that Bianca has been taken so easily this wasn't how things was supposed to go.
