Deadly ambush

Ramse took a deep breath and opened the door of Sienna's room. The surprised guards looked at him. Before they could gather their thoughts, Ramse called to them, "The queen is getting poisoned!" he pointed at one guard, "You get the doctor and you come with me to find the king." ordered Ramse confidently scorpion warriors. He needed to find Ziran and stop him, whatever was he doing.

Ramse took a few of the king's guards with him and went to the Sarcos hunting grounds. The soldiers felt he is not lying and went with him without a doubt. When they arrived at the sandy edge of the desert, they noticed a warm light in the distance."There!"Ramse and the warriors ran to the top of the sandy dune to see what is going on. They saw Sarcos in his scorpion form fight with a huge red dragon. His scorpion soldiers were hiding behind him. They were stuck in the small mountain pass. "What a great trap." thought Ramse."Lord Ziran is really capable. "The dragon was breathing fire on them from his huge mouth. The flames were going past Sarcos's scorpion armour. The king and his soldiers were engulfed in blue flames, which Sarcos summoned by himself, to protect them all. "King Sarcos stop the fight, the queen is getting poisoned!" Ramse run to him through the sand avoiding the flames." And you stop as well Darren." he screamed at the red dragon. Ramse knew the dragon quite well, as he was the messenger of the Dragon King, who was sometimes coming to bark orders to his Ape King father.

"How is it your concern Ramse?"Said the dragon and stopped the fire for a bit." I'm killing the king right here, right now."

"No! His queen is the only one with blue eyes, you need to stop right now! Go fight him after three days would pass if you need to kill him."Ramse shouted." I want his queen for myself."

"Blue-eyed queen, "the dragon said," with golden hair?"

" Yes!" said Ramse," You remember your king's orders, no?"

The dragon stopped the fire completely. He knew his king is looking for a female like this, but he came here for Ziran only. He will let his king find her on his own." Let's continue another day King Sarcos. Protect your queen well." He said darkly and flew off.

"What he was even doing here?"Sarcos stopped the blue flames on his body and free his warriors from them too. He changed into his human form and panted heavily. They were almost cooked alive but were not burned at all. Sarcos's blue flames were protecting them in that bit, but if the Darren kept up the fire for long enough, they would be surely dead.

"Ramse? What you are doing here? What did you say about my queen?"He asked him.

Ramse came closer to Sarcos."Let's have a truce for this night. I come to take your queen while you hunt and I found out she is being poisoned from your mark. I can't let her die. No, I do still like her."Ramse shook his head and looked at Sarcos waiting for the deadly blow.

Sarcos stood quiet thinking for a second. "Thank you, Ramse. You saved us all by calming the dragon and telling me about the queen. Truce." said Sarcos. He gathered his warriors and run to the castle. Sienna still lay on her belly sleeping, covered in wet towels to cool her down, the old Scorpion doctor sitting next to her, when Sarcos with Ramse barged in. They removed the towels hastily and looked at Sienna's back. The black scorpion was already turning golden." "You should stay next to her these three days." said Ramse." You know the old ancient scorpion rule which is valid for the first three days only."

"If the king would die in this time, the queen will die with him."Sarcos nodded."What a stupid law."

"Just be next to her or I would." Ramse joked."And make sure not to get hurt."

Sarcos looked at him." You are right, I did not notice the red dragon at all. I don't understand how he even came so far from his land or why he attacked us."

"Actually I made deal with Lord Ziran to take your queen. He summoned the dragon and planned the trap." said Ramse."I did not know he is so brutal and capable."

Sienna come back to herself and woke up. She gazed at them with sleepy eyes. She looked so cute that Sarcos wanted to hold her tight. "What happened?" She asked.

Ramse and Sarcos looked at each other. They had to keep the dragon a secret from her. She should not even mention its name.

"Ambush by Lord Ziran." said Sarcos and pointed at the dagger behind Ramse's belt." Take this dagger and give it back to Ziran," said Ramse with a wicked smile. Sarcos smiled too and took the dagger from him. Sarcos flashed a picture of him giving back the dagger to Ziran's chest and his eyes gleamed dangerously. Sienna noticed and panicked.

"He is my bodyguard," said Sienna to Sarcos, "Please don't hold a grudge against him. He must be worried about me since Sharchan send him out of the city. He did not know you made a deal. "Sarcos made a serious face to Sienna."Does he love you as well?"

Ramse nodded knowingly at Sarcos, but Sienna shook her head."He is not a king yet."Sienna smiled." He saved me a few times, it is a loyal knight." She tried to ease Sarcos. He nodded, he saw she liked him, the rumours were true then. He will check him out by himself and make him pay for this.

Ramse looked at Sienna. She opened her eyes wide at his gaze. "Thank you for your help Ramse." She whispered."Ramse looked at her with lustful eyes again. "You can thank me better when I catch you again." he smiled seductively. Sienna stayed pale and her skin shivered. She gulped and looked at Sarcos."Ramse saved my life today and yours as well." He said to her coldly. The jealousy was eating his heart. "Your Lord Ziran has efficient friends." Sienna felt like she will cry. She glanced at Sarcos and Ramse and chucked herself back into the cushions. She felt like she made everything worse. She closed her eyes and the tears were running down her cheeks. Ziran will now pay for trying to help her. Sarcos and Ramse stared at her quietly. They both felt her tears like heavy stones dropping at their hearts. Sarcos pointed his head to Ramse." The truce was just for tonight." said Sarcos. "Let's talk better outside. The queen needs to rest."Ramse nodded and followed Sarcos outside. They went to Sarcos's office.

"You are not my enemy anymore." said Sarcos.

" I did make a deal with Lord Ziran," said Ramse.

"I know." said Sarcos. "But you still saved me, so you have a favour with me."

"I wanted to save the queen," said Ramse. Sarcos nodded. "Two favours then."

"Ok, "said Ramse as he saw Sarcos was decided."Just a little advice then. Don't kill Lord Ziran. The queen likes him a lot. He is planning to become a king and get her to be his mate. But you can still teach him a lesson I guess. As long he would survive..."Ramse smiled wickedly. Sarcos nodded. He got the hint.

The huge red dragon landed in front of the running brown tiger. Ziran took almost all night to find Darren and then let him go forward as he ran behind him.

"I was not able to kill the king today Ziran, or it would kill the queen you love as well." the dragon said. "Ramse called to stop me and he got your dagger. It was something about three days, she was getting poisoned as I kept the fire on the king."

"Thank you for trying," said Ziran. "Looked like Sarcos got accepted already before me. How annoying. Anyway, your debt is paid and I will not be asking more of you. Do Sarcos know it was me, who send you?"

"Yes, so be careful of Sarcos. I think he noticed your dagger at Ramse's belt as well. But you should wary. I think my king is on the search for this woman as well for a long time. If he gets her she might die." said the dragon.

"Will you tell your king?" Ziran asked with furrowed brows.

"No, he would find her sooner or later by himself. Besides it is not my business, I just come here to attack the Sarcos for you."Darren smiled and flew to the sky.

Ziran clenched his fist. Sienna was taken during his absence from the city and had to get a new mate. Ziran knew she could not refuse Sarcos, so he did not blame her. It was Sharchan 's fault. He will get rid of him later on. But for that, he needed to level up his strength. Ziran thought about Sienna's blue eyes and smiled. He needed to wait another four days before Tyrell's week starts and he can protect her again.
