EDWINA
I was spending more time than I wanted to with Kieran. After his unannounced visit to my hideaway place in New York, my son awakened.
The light that had died in his eyes came back, and he became the bubbly, happy child I knew and loved.
He asked for Kieran everyday, and I had to oblige him. The three of us spent a lot of time together.
Noah made us take him to the zoo to watch animals, to the museum to watch paintings. We frequented amusement parks too of course, and it was with a warm but aching heart that I watched Kieran and my son go on rollercoasters.
I was seeing a new side of my ex husband.
He was patient with Noah, and indulged the boy a lot. Kieran listened patiently to Noah's chatter, his expression always filled with pride and joy.
He soon learnt how to build things from Lego sets, and on days when Noah wasn't feeling up to going out, they built castles and ships together.
