CAMERON'S POV

I don't have the slightest idea what time it is, I just know that someone is knocking the door, and I would have gotten up if it hadn't been for the fact that Lara was still asleep on my chest. The last thing I wanted was to wake her up, and as soon as I heard Bianca shout for us to open the door, I sent her a message to come in and don't make any noise so as not to wake up her sister.

Not much later, the door to our room opens, letting me see Bianca with her hand over her eyes and the man who was sticking close to Lara all the time, which put me in a bad mood. "Tell me at least you're covered up in the essential parts" Bianca asked and I couldn't help but laugh "We're just lying down Bianca, there's nothing you can see, believe me" I replied and she spread her fingers and sighed once she saw we were dressed "Thank God" she murmured and I laughed once again "Mmm, Cam, stop… I want to sleep" my wife protested which makes her sister laugh.

"It's eleven in the morning, Lara, and you haven't even trained," Bianca pointed out, and Lara only hid further into my chest, making a smile appear on my face. "Leave me alone," she murmured into my chest. "What if I told you Serena arrives at the airport in half an hour?" The man said, which made Lara move away from me a little, but without lifting her head from my chest. "Is Serena coming?" She asked curiously and the man nodded even though Lara wasn't looking at him. "She told me not to tell you anything, but she did it," he said, capturing Lara's full attention, and she sat on the bed looking at him. "You're kidding," my wife responded and the man denied.

"No. She told me she was calling you and sending you messages, but she never managed to get in touch with you" he answered and my wife quickly got out of bed looking for something "Onde cona está o teléfono?" (Where the hell is the phone?)" she said, somewhat frustrated, "Abuela dixo algo dun teléfono que non deixa de sonar na sua casa, supoño que o deixaches na dela (Grandma said something about there being a phone that wouldn't stop ringing. I guess you left it at home)" Bianca responded with a shrug.

Lara didn't say anything else, she just left through the bedroom door, causing both Bianca and I to be confused and trying to understand what happened right now, but the man followed my wife until she appeared again at the door of the room with a big smile on her face "I'll be back in a while, I love you Cam" she said and ran out of the house again making me even more confused.

"What just happened?" I asked Bianca, who's still at the door with a frown. "I don't have the slightest idea, but she seemed excited," she responded and I sat on the bed looking for the prosthesis. "It's downstairs on the couch" my wife's sister reported with a smile on her face "Could you bring it to me?" I asked and she nodded, leaving the room and returning in a few seconds.

"You seem upset about something, Cam," my sister-in-law pointed out as I put the prosthesis on me. "Why is that man following Lara?" I asked, my annoyance evident in my voice. "That's Serena's ex-husband, and from what Eric told me and from what I could see, they spent all their time together," Bianca said, shrugging her shoulders. "Do you think there's something going between them?" I asked and she frowned. "Are we talking about Lara?" she asked, probably to make sure, so I nodded. "Before your mind goes where it's going, I can assure you my sister would never do a thing like that. She loves you and no one else" she said and even though I knew Lara loved me, we had been separated during this time, it could be she had something with someone and didn't tell me so as not to hurt me or I don't know.

"Cam, stop torturing yourself. Lara wouldn't do something like what you're thinking. She may have spent practically all of her time with that man, but she wouldn't do anything to hurt you. Get those ideas out of your head" my sister-in-law insisted and I nodded just so she would be calmer, because in my mind, I had thousands of ideas running through every corner of my brain. "Let's go make breakfast, she'll be back soon," I said and she nodded, getting up and leaving the room, leaving me alone, but for a short time, since I wanted to make breakfast for my wife and see if I could clear all those ideas from my head.

No more than an hour, we already finished breakfast, and Lara hadn't arrived home yet, which made me worry a little about her, since I had no idea what was so important for her to leave the way she did, but luckily for everyone, it didn't take much longer for her to return home with a big smile on her face that soon disappeared, changing to a frown and with her running out of the kitchen towards the bathroom and leaving me and her sister dumbfounded once again, and the guy who was following her doesn't take long to appear in our kitchen.

"Lara?" She asked with a frown. "She just ran to the bathroom," Bianca reported, trying to understand what had happened. The man looked at the table where the breakfast was served. "Tell me that's not lemon cake," he asked and I frowned, because I don't have the slightest idea what he means by that. "What's wrong with being lemon cake?" I asked, "Lara can't even sniff it," he replied, and I frowned more if it was possible, because if Lara liked something, it's lemon cake. "Of course she can. It's her favourite cake," I answered and he denied. "It is, but right now I can assure you she can't sniff it" he said, leaving the kitchen and going after Lara.

"What the fuck does he mean by that? He must think I don't know my wife or something," I said, annoyed and starting to walk from one place to another. "Calm down, it's probably because the pregnancy. As far as I understand, she has not yet completed three months of pregnancy. From what I read, nausea occurs and some foods she would normally eat she doesn't because she can't stand the smell or the taste," my sister-in-law reported and I frowned, hoping it wasn't true, because that would imply that this man knows her better than I do in this moment.

Not much later, the guy came back into the kitchen, grabbed a couple of things, and walked out again without saying a word, which really put me in a bad mood, so I ended up following him. When I saw he went into our room, my anger was through the roof, but when I entered, I didn't see either of them in the room, which made me assume they were on the terrace.

I quickly head there and see Lara with a towel around her neck, I could almost assure it is wet and her eyes are closed. When Sam saw me, he nodded and left the terrace, making me immediately close the door and sit in the chair he occupied until a few seconds ago. "Why do you seem angry?" Lara asks, without opening her eyes. "What's between you and that man?" I ask her, trying to contain my anger as best I can, but the moment I see her eyes widen and her brow furrow, I know I haven't succeeded. "What do you mean, what's between me and Sam?" she asked, now trying to contain her anger.

"You spent a lot of time together and he seems to know you better than anyone else at this moment, what happened in these months between you and him, Lara?" I asked again and this time, Lara stood up from the chair, practically knocking it to the floor if it weren't for the sliding door. "What the hell you mean exactly, Cameron. Are you asking if we fucked?" She asked, angrily, and I shrugged. "Did you?" I asked and all Lara did was snort, before walking out the door.

It didn't take me long to follow her, and when I got to the floor below, I could see how she's picking her things and with a confused Sam and Bianca "Where are you going?" I asked my wife who kept putting things haphazardly into a backpack that she seemed to have found. "Sam, we're leaving," Lara said after putting things in the backpack. "Where to?" the man asked confused. "To grandma's house and then we're going to Manchester," my wife informed without turning in my direction for a single second. "Come on, Lara, don't be angry" I asked without really knowing what to do to make her calm down and let me explain "Don't be angry? Are you seriously telling me not to get angry? It would be the stupidest thing you could do, in the end I cheated on you with Sam, right?" she asked wryly, and that's when I know I've completely screwed up.

"I didn't mean that," I tried, even though at the time it was what I meant. "Non son estúpida, pódelo ter máis que claro, e si pensas que faría algo así, entonces nunca me conoceches, Edwards (I'm not that stupid, you can be more than clear about that, and if you really think I would do something like that, then you don't know me at all, Edwards)" she said angrier than I had ever seen her. Bianca is standing in the kitchen door, and her jaw was almost touching the floor, anger beginning to appear in her eyes.

Lara left the house without saying anything else to me with Sam behind her while Bianca was still standing there, angry "Que cona fixeches para que miña irmán marche así, Cameron (What the hell did you do to make my sister leave like that, Cameron)" my sister-in-law asks and I sat on the couch frustrated with the situation. Just when I thought everything would get better between us, I go and screw up again. "I just wanted to clear up my doubt as to whether something had really happened between them or not," I answered honestly and Bianca snorted, "You really can be stupid. Would my sister really do something like that? After I told you that she had been through the same thing?" She asked ironically and I took a deep breath before saying anything else, because I knew I screwed up again.

Bianca left the house and it didn't take long for me to follow her. I was going to go to her grandmother's house to see if I could manage to talk to Lara and apologize for my stupidity. It's true I hadn't thought about the story Bianca had told me, but I also knew Lara, and I knew how much she loves me. I know she wouldn't do something like that to me, which just showed how stupid I am for hurting the person I love most on this planet.

A little after half an hour we arrived at Carmela's house, with my mother at the door with her arms crossed and a disgusted face. "What did you do this time, Cam?" She asked, probably tired of the situation. "I screwed up, Mom, but I really want to fix it," I said seriously and desperately, hoping not to lose Lara because of something stupid. "Well, I don't know how you're going to do it, because she's going to go to Manchester," she informed and my eyes increased to their normal size. I was going to ask my mother, but it's better to try to stop Lara. The last thing I want is for her to leave again.

"Lara, please don't go," I asked, prepared to get on my knees if necessary. "I have other things to do than worry because my husband thinks I've cheated on him," she responded, snorting and not looking at me. "I'm sorry, I know that it's not something you deserve, and now that I think about it more clearly, I know you wouldn't do something like that to me, seriously. Don't go, I'm begging you" I said desperately "Cam, I don't care. Get help because this can't go on like this, and if I leave it's because of work."

"Can I at least come with you?" I asked and she ended up sighing "I'm not going to say no to you. I just want you to leave me alone for a while, nothing more" she answered tiredly "Pensas que vas a tardar moito en volver a casa, miña nena? (Do you think it will take you long to get home, my girl?)" Carmela asked in a relaxed tone and Lara shrugged her shoulders. "Intentareino, pero esto e moi importante para min (I'll try, but this is really important to me)" she responded. Bianca and I frowned, trying to understand what could be so important.

"Ben entonces, chama todos os días, vai (Well then, call every day, go)" she asked and Lara hugged her grandmother, then her mother and mine who whispered something in her ear to which Lara denied. Not much later, she left with Sam behind her, without leaving her side at all, and even though it made me angry, I knew Lara wouldn't do anything with him, there's no doubt about that. For my part, I didn't hesitate to follow her, as did Eli and Bianca, the first, next to my wife. "Do you have any idea what's so important to do?" I asked Bianca who shrugged her shoulders. "I have no idea," she responded simply.

At no point did we stop walking until we reached a mini bus, where Serena was waiting with a big smile on her face. "Lara, I would have loved to know where you live, but I understand this is something more urgent," she said, giving her a kiss on both cheeks "It is, but I can show you another time" Lara responded simply, without emotion in her voice "I would love to, now let's go to the airport, the plane is waiting for us."

We all got into the mini bus with Lara in the middle of Eli and Sam, while Serena was on the driver's side in front. Despite all of Sam and Eli's attempts to calm Lara down, we all knew she would never be completely calm inside the mini bus. My wife had managed to overcome her extreme fear of street cars, but what we had never been able to achieve was for her to be calm in a car, I think that would be something we would never achieve. I leaned forward a little in my seat and put my hand on her shoulder, something that seems to have worked a little since her leg stopped moving as fast as it was doing. Once we arrived at the airport, we went directly to Serena's plane.

When we were all inside, Lara went to the back of the plane with Eli on her heels while I stayed in the front of the plane. Not much later, the plane took off and it didn't take me long to notice someone sitting next to me, catching my attention and seeing my wife's boss, Serena.

"You should take things slower Cameron," she said, as if I had any idea what she was talking about. "What things?" I asked curiously, "I know you've argued with Lara again, and my husband told me why. I can assure you she wouldn't do anything like that. I could almost guarantee you one hundred percent Sam wouldn't do something like that to me either" she informed and I frowned "Don't you trust your husband?" I asked, confused. "I do it in everything except cheating. I'm still working on it," she responded with a big smile on her face. "Why don't you trust him?" I asked and she laughed. "Because Sam already cheated on me once, which is why I have a hard time trusting him in that regard, but I know he loves me."

"I know I screwed up with Lara, seriously, but it's a doubt I had that would end up eating me inside" I answered honestly "And I know Lara will see it that way, at this moment she can react to you in any way. It's all the hormones that run through her body, but I also know you feel insecure with your body after what happened" she said as if he had any idea what she's talking about when in reality no one knew what's really going on in my head "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Cameron, let's just say I went through a similar thing when my husband cheated on me. Not the same as what you're going through, but I understand why you feel insecure, but do you know what we were talking about when we were in the same room?" She asked and I tilted my head curiously "We were talking about you. How much she missed you. Of things you had been through together. That woman loves you more than anything in the world, and it may seem to you she's angry, but the whole situation you are going through hurts her and it hurts her you think that about her, but I assure you It soon pass. Give her a couple of hours to calm down."

"Why are you telling me all this?" I asked curiously "Because I don't want you to separate and because I want the best for my friend, so I need you to improve so that doesn't happen" she said, and I could see she's serious "I try that, but it's not easy" I whispered and she nodded "I already know that. You should still consider going to therapy. I know at the beginning everything was fine, but it stopped being fine, and if you want to have them both in your life, you better do it as soon as possible, because I assure you Lara won't stay much longer, no matter how much she loves you.

And with that, Serena left, although her seat was empty for a short time as her husband appeared. "My wife is right, Lara loves you more than anything, but she also wants the well-being of your child. And to help you in a certain way, I assure you I love that girl as if she were my daughter. For God's sake, I'm her father's age. I can't see her in any other way than that" he said with a big smile on her face. "So can you explain to me how you know so much about my wife?" I asked curiously, but annoyed with him too even though I know I have no right to be.

"As I'm sure you know, your wife has insomnia, and sometimes with pregnancy the situation doesn't improve because she feels uncomfortable or because she has already slept practically all day. It's true we shared a room and I know where she is at all times as do my wife and your best friend, but we do that because she fainted once, it's a way to make sure we know where she is in case something happens, and I stayed with her in her room to make sure she was comfortable and bring her all her cravings," the man reported, but I stayed on the part that she had fainted.

"Why did she faint? Was it because of her pregnancy? Because of stress?" I asked, thousands of possibilities piling up in my brain "Because of the pregnancy. It was at the very beginning, and let's say she didn't have much control over the food, so she just went out and fainted, that's why we decided at least someone should be with her and since my wife works and if Eli was with her all the time Bianca would realize it was really Lara, the next best option was me. But seriously, I assure you I'm not attracted to that girl. I already made the biggest mistake of my life when I cheated on my wife, it's not something I would repeat again, so think about getting help, because the last thing I want is to see you break up."

And like his wife, she left without saying anything else. Even though I'm calmer about Sam not being attracted to Lara, I know I had to do something to improve my mental health, because the last thing I want is to lose the woman I love and our child.
