Azimir did not sleep the entire night, keeping a watch over the palace. The intruder's sudden appearance kept him awake as his blood boiled in anger.
'How dare he!' he thought, seething in anger. 'How dare he come here? How dare he come to my place?'
Although he was overwhelmed with fury, he was also frightened, especially for his people. Since the man had entered his palace, it meant that his people were not safe anymore. The deranged man could attack and kill them at any time.
And since Azimir was going to Aranill in a few hours, the danger would increase even more.
Azimir was in a dilemma. While he wanted to meet Aylin and ensure she was safe himself, he could not leave Ideni just like that as well. What if something were to happen in his absence?
In a fix, he spent the entire night walking around the palace and did not sleep even for a moment until the sun rose high and bright in the sky.
