Prologue

With hazy vision, She walks towards a destination she has no mind for. Where was she even heading? Was she actually even walking at all or is she still in the hospital bed..alone? No, she doesn't smell the sterile scent of the prison she's been held in for days...or was it months? The cold is so harsh that it burns when she holds the bridge rails. Her head tilts and she holds on harder. But why? What's the meaning anymore? Why prolong this suffering? Edging closer to the rails and suddenly.. she's on top of the thin railing, holding the side beam. Oh! How free she feels up here. Only the echo of silence and wind in her ears. And the waves crashing underneath! She looks down and it doesn't scare her as much as it fills her mind with peace. She did always want to fly - - -

- Stop...please stop..

And one finger at a time...she let's go...
