Fred woke up in a panic, his heart was beating very fast. It's a dream, oh my goodness. There is a knock on the door. He had this astonished and pissed off face wondering who would it be at this time of the day, he got up from the bed - yawning and walked to the wardrobe to pick up something to wear on before going downstairs, he checked and saw a lady standing then he opened the door for her

"Hello, can I help you?" Fred lifts his brow when he saw a guy walking from behind her holding a big black box

"Yes am Cherry Hill and you must be?" She asked elegantly

"Fred, are you looking for someone?"

"Yes I was directed by Elizabeth to meet with you, this is my colleague Brown, can we come inside now?" Cherry asked pointing inside the house

"Ah...ok come in" his face flushed as he leads the way "you may seat, please," he asked looking at the big box Brown was holding and he could guess what is inside

"So is there anyone else living in this house with you," Brown asked and immediately he opened one side of the box, he brought out a radiofrequency detector and hidden camera lens detector, without my approval he got up and went down to business, I forgot Annie was in the house with me out of a sudden she came walking down the stairs...

Immediately Cherry tried to pull out her gun, I never knew she was holding a gun all this while

"Fred, what's going on?" Terrified as she quickly makes her way to my left hand grabbing my fingers tightly Brown don't seem to mind as he was still focusing on his job

"Sorry I did not tell you, this is my neighbor Annie, she came to spend the night here," I said turning to Cherry "she is also having treat issues with her ex-husband and I have a feeling he is the one who is trying to hunt my life"

"What are you saying, what's going on here " Annie breaking loose of her tight grips on his fingers

"Sorry ma, my name is Cherry and I work with the CIA and am here cause of a treat issue recently on Freds life. Someone wrote him a death treat note, do you know anything about this?"

"No he never told me anything about it, I only told him about my ex-husband Matthew, who mysteriously shows up here and I had the feeling he has been tailing me " Annie replied adjusting her dress as Cherry gave her baleful glance

"Annie calm down, am not here to accuse you over anything, I just need to ask you and Fred questions, questions that will help me unfold what is going on here..." Cherry Hill continue asking questions and all we did was provide answers, I don't have much to say because am just caught up between all of this.

"I found something!" Brown exclaimed, snatching all of our attentions

"I found something" he called out again, we all stood up to see what he found.

"It's a wireless cam, three (3) security cam," he said showing it to Cherry

She squints her eyes to have a closer look

"We are going to check for any possible fingerprints and also run a check on what is inside it. Good work Brown, I think we are going to check Annie's apartment maybe we can find something useful to catch the suspect or the person behind all of this, and also you are going to give me a photograph of your ex-husband. I will like to involve other legal agencies "

She closed her files and continue "Annie can you please take Brown to your apartment now" Cherry asked

Immediately they left for her apartment Cherry opened the other side of the box and brought out a bulletproof vest, three guns, and some combat knives. She gave me instructions on how to use them. I am not familiar with handling guns which is not safe for me so she recommends that I go for NRA as soon as possible...

"Ok, I will get started tomorrow if possible. I will call my office and ask for permission and I don't know if you could assist me with the process, " I asked her

While we are still discussing Annie and Brown walked in...

"Did you find anything?" Looking at Brown, Cherry asked.

"Nothing ma, her apartment was clean, there is nothing, not even a scratch on her wall, no trace of an intruder in the entire house and it makes me question myself, if her ex-husband was planning anything to hurt her, he won't risk his life to come here and plant cameras, and he did not bother to leave even one in her apartment," Brown replied

" With all the information the both of you have given me, I can't really place it together. Why will he want to bother Fred their relationship just started a few days ago, he won't have had enough time to plant cameras unless someone else did. The first cam you saw, the officer claimed they did not find anything on it. They asked a team to check your house and did not find anything just yesterday morning and immediately after work you came home, your security password is secured cause you just changed it. How did the suspect get access into the apartment?" Cherry Hill trying her best to solve the puzzle, all I could do was just to steer at them "unless the officers did" Cherry added

"Should we question the officers who came to check?" Brown suggested

"I don't think it's a good idea, I don't want anyone to know what we are doing here. Annie, you must not say any of these to anyone, same goes for you, Fred. I don't want anyone to feel too clever for me to handle "

The more the investigation was going on the more frightened I get, I don't want anything to go wrong, all I could hope for was that he should be brought to justice as soon as possible, I feel so exposed already, he must have known too much about me and I have little or no idea about him.

"Fred your sister ask that I put you on 24/7 surveillance but since the both of you are involved here, I will also like to put Annie on oversight, should in case her ex-husband tries anything stupid, is that ok?" Cherrie asked after which they packed their stuff together and leave.

I would never have thought that I could be in a situation like this, while I was trying to close the door Annie picked her phone to check on her mother and daughter...

My stomach growled, I need to find something to eat. Then I remembered I had a date today with Isabella, how stupid of me to have forgotten. I need to call her and remind her of our date today.

"Annie! Please help me with my phone" I did not get any response back

"Annie!" I called the second and third time but no response, what would have happened to her this time, I speedily rushed through the stairs to my room.

"There you are" wearing a repulsive face, she continued with her call, I guess it was an important call. I waited a few minutes for her to end her conversation but it doesn't seem like it's ending anytime soon, ouch my stomach hurts. I need to get something to eat, I picked up my phone and left her in the room

My car is faulty how will I go on a date with Isabella today, I don't know how Annie will feel if I ask her to lend me her car, I don't want her to feel bad about all the situation on ground, I don't even know if it's right to be going on dates now.

"You called me earlier, I was discussing with my boss after dropping my mom's call. I just got promoted and I will be the new manager of the radio firm,"

"Wow, that's a nice one...congratulations, you deserve it. We need to drink to this news but first I want to ask for a favor" I said

"What will it be this time, I hope is not about your ex because I won't what to do that again "

"No dear! It's something different, I want to ask if you have any important place that you are going to today, my car is faulty and I took it for repairs. Today I have an important date with someone and it won't be nice for her to see me entering a cab, you know first impression matters " I said to her

"Well I don't have any important place to visit but I planned on going to Khloe's place. We planned on going to the salon to get our hair fixed "she replied walking to get the wine and two glasses " here you go " handing me one glass of red wine

"on the condition that you will have to drop me off at Khloe's place"

" that won't be a problem, but I don't think I will pick you up, I might not be coming back on time."

"you will have to pick me up, you don't expect me to take a cab, I can't trust my life on any cab driver right now"
