Wang Ye

It was almost dinner time when the boys arrived at the academy.

"Thanks for coming with me today." Wang Wei said.

"It's nothing and if we didn't come we wouldn't have gotten these things that would help us in our cultivation." Long Yue said.

"Yes. I have been looking for a suitable sword technique for a while now but I couldn't find it. Who would've thought it would be with the azure leaf family?" Lee Zheng said.

"Come to think of it. You only got a scrappy old book. Why were you satisfied with it?" Long Yue said.

"Because this is a book written by the first patriarch of the red fire-dragon family. It can help me a lot. I have only glanced through it once but it holds cultivation techniques and fighting techniques which I have never seen before. It could be really helpful." Wang Wei said.

"Really? Let me see then." Long Yue said as he grabbed the book from Wang Wei. "What is this? Some kind of joke? There is nothing to read."

Lee Zheng then stood next to him.

"He's right there is nothing in here." He said.

"Here give it to me." Wang Wei said.

He then reached out his hand and when he made contact with the book the pages started shining again.

"What is happening?" Long Yue exclaimed.

"Only a member of my family can read it. But only a direct descendant." Wang Wei said.

"Well then, good luck." Lee Zheng said.

"Thanks. I will see you tomorrow." Wang Wei said.

The boys went their separate ways. Long Yue and Lee Zheng both went to their dorm room and Wang Wei headed to blue jade island.

Back at the house, Shen Teng was already waiting for him.

"What did you do today?" Shen Teng asked Wang Wei.

"I went to the azure leaf family since they owed me a favor. And I obtained something amazing." Wang Wei said very excitedly.

"Oh?" Shen Teng said as he raised his eyebrows. "And what might that something be?"

"I obtained a book that was written by the first patriarch of my family. It contains fighting and cultivation techniques which I have never seen before. I also saw something which was written by the patriarch as a sort of journal." Wang Wei said.

"Really?! That is amazing. Who better to teach you to cultivate than the person who was an expert with the same soul form. I am truly happy for you." Shen Teng said.

"Thank you, teacher." Right when Wang Wei said this his stomach started growling

"Hahaha." Shen Teng started laughing. "Are you hungry?"

"Yes." Wang Wei replied.

"Come with me." Shen Teng said.

He then started walking and Wang Wei followed him. They eventually came to a small house in the middle of the island. They entered.

"Took you long enough." It was principal Wen Xin. She was sitting at a nicely set table full of delicious looking food. Next to her sat teacher Li Yun. There were two more places to sit.

"Go on. Take a seat." Shen Teng told Wang Wei.

"Thank you for the meal." Wang Wei said as he sat down.

"Now that we are all here. Let's start eating." Wen Xin said.

That night Wang Wei ate the most nutritious food he had ever tasted in his life.

"Principal. Can I ask you something?" Wang Wei asked.

"Of course."

"Why is teacher Li Yun here?" Wang Wei said.

"That is because she is like a daughter to me. She is my disciple and I will take care of her until I no longer can."

"Yes, she is the principal' disciple. She has taken more but she is the proudest of Li Yun. You, on the other hand, are my one and only disciple. I have high hopes for you." Shen Teng said.

"Tell me, Wang Wei. What did you do on your first day off?" Li Yun asked.

Wang Wei told the entire story as it was getting dark.

"You found a book containing fighting and cultivation techniques written by the first red fire-dragon patriarch?!" Wen Xin cried out. She had a bright look in her eyes.

"Yes, even a journal. But only direct descendants of my family can read it." Wang Wei said.

After Wang Wei said this the bright look in the eyes of Wen Xin disappeared.

"That's too bad. I thought those fighting techniques would be really powerful." Wen Xin said.

"I could write them down for you if you want." Wang Wei said.

"Really? Then I'll have to trouble you." Wen Xin said.

"It's no problem at all since I will be learning from them as well. It will take some time however since I still have class." Wang Wei said.

"That is no problem. I will excuse you for the next week." Li Yun said.

"Are you sure? Won't I miss out on a lot?" Wang Wei asked.

"Don't worry I will come by every evening and teach you one on one." Li Yun said.

"Okay." Wang Wei said. "But I can't promise to have everything since I still want to talk with my friends."

"That is fine. Even one technique will be enough." Wen Xin said.

After everything was discussed Wang Wei and Shen Teng went back to the house. Wang Wei directly went to his room to start reading the book.

He found a cultivation technique called the heavenly dragon's way. It was a cultivation technique that would help you cultivate soul energy that was much denser. He also found a few dragon fighting techniques and some martial arts. The dragon techniques were like individual techniques but not entirely since they could be learned by anyone with a dragon soul form. Much to Wang Wei' surprise his dragon scales and dragon claws were the foundation on which these techniques were build on. The martial arts was the same as Jongh martial arts only that it was harsher on the body and would strengthen the meridians even more. But the most interesting was at the end of the book.

"This book is the first I will ever write. I am sure that it will help someone when I am gone from this world. That is something I swear on my name Wang Ye."
