Perfect Timing

Cheng Xiu killed a few of the last remaining Baby puppets and left two alive. She guessed that these two supplied Qi to the Wind puppet rather than Crow as their connection to the yellow-clad man was barely there.

The two puppets would ensure that the Wind puppet doesn't expire as easily and prevent Crow from summoning more.

He also seemed to be unable to break his connection to the puppets, which would have killed the Wind puppet easily.

Cheng Xiu dashed towards Crow.

Crow pulled out a Yellow Talisman and lighted it up.

She noticed the golden circle in its middle.

Cheng Xiu remembered this particular talisman. It was the one he used at the beginning of their battle.

Cheng Xiu turned and ran away.

Crow smirked at her action. It was funny to watch her reaction to his attack. He finally understood what people meant when they said, arrived like an elephant and left like a rat. She had so majestic when she came to attack her but now she ran for her life.

A golden circle appeared in the air and fire bullets flew towards her.

Cheng Xiu smirked. The bullets would drain out his Qi reserves faster as she had already killed off his suppliers.

She looked at the Jade bracelet in her hand.

The Kuan Yen Jade bracelet.

It was time to draw the trap and catch the prey.

Crow summoned two Baby puppets to act as his Qi suppliers.

Cheng Xiu closed her eyes and summoned the six sword copies that floated in the air.

She controlled two of them towards the two baby puppets Crow used as his suppliers and engaged them in battle so they can do nothing but escape.

The Fire bullets got closer to her.

"Ghost Flame!"

Crow frowned as he watched the black flame ear the red fire and became bigger.

Cheng Xiu touched Crow's Qi with her own.

'Qi Illusion,' she thought.

This would distract Crow enough.

She asserted her will on the Qi pet that lurked in the ground, eating away the Wild Qi around it.

It responded by spinning just below Crow's feet.

Cheng Xiu smiled, fondness filling her heart.

Cheng Xiu sent a small amount of Qi into the bracelet.

She realised that because his Qi reserve had declined, Crow could not let his puppets go too far from him anymore.

Perfect timing.

Luck was on her side in their match.

Cheng Xiu raised her sword and ran towards him at full speed.

Crow pulled out two new talismans from his sleeves.

"Oh no, you don't!" Cheng Xiu screamed.

She pulled out a black card from her sleeve and sent a strand of Qi into it. She threw it at Crow.

Crow stilled like a statue, unable to counter Cheng Xiu's attack.

The Qi pet burst out of the ground and wrapped around him.

Cheng Xiu killed the two baby puppets that supplied Qi to Crow and the two baby puppets that supplied Qi to the wind puppet.

"Ghost Flame!"

The back flame ate away at the wind puppet.

The sword copies stabbed into Crow one by one.

Cheng Xiu plunged her sword into Crow's heart.
