I've been going back and forth from the forest and Slums, well no the market actually since I have nothing to go back to from the slums, it's been two years. 

I've been constantly trying to find my mom. Though I let Markus do it. And right now I've just made my very first spear. 

[Smile more Samuel!]

Looking at the mirror I tried to smile, it looked robotic and unnatural. 

{Pfft! It's okay Sammy it's okay~}

[You're not helping Luna]

{ehhhh~}

I went to the forest with my newly made spear. How did I make this spear? I went to the treasure trove- the garbage dump. It's the place where everyone dumps their used items and garbage. 

It's very unsanitary there, we've been going there for the past two years salvaging things. Though we did manage to find a Slave trading hideout there in the end Markus took care of it.

[Really Luna?]

{Yeah! I don't know where I've seen her before though}

I was just listening to their conversation when I saw my trap move. It was a hole in the ground with a platform hanging on a thread. 

If something steps on it it will fall. 

I just saw the cover, the platform move. I carefully looked at the trapped animal, it might be a snake for all I know. 

"another horned rabbit!"

Horned rabbit, it's the weakest monster out there that even children could hunt, don't underestimate it though it bites and the horn could stab. 

[Careful, stab it on the neck or the head.]

"un!"

As instructed I stabbed the rabbit in the head and took it out of the trap, I then hung it up on a tree with a self-made rope and let it bleed. 

I could sell it or eat its meat. Well, I don't have any need for its meat as I have jerky and dried fruits with me. So I'll just leave it be, after drying it I placed it on the woven basket I have on my back. 

Looking at me, someone would think it's a child who is used to doing such arduous tasks. And yes they're right aside from Markus taking over sometimes, all of the things I use are made by me Samuel. 

[Okay chop-chop, check the time]

I looked at the sun, I used the lines on my finger to check how far the night was. 

"about half an hour before sunset"

I nodded and started walking back, I had 3 horned rabbits on me and a bundle of Luru leaves. 

First I went to the Medicinal shop I always go to. 

"another bundle kid?"

I nodded. The old shopkeeper looked at me with this weird gaze, it's not a bad one though. 

"I pity you kid, I miss the bright child who always came here two years ago, sure you don't want to succeed me?"

"No I gotta find mom, grandpa might get swept with it."

"Such a shame"

The old shopkeeper looked at me like it was a waste, but I like the old shopkeeper, I don't want him to be involved with my affairs. 

{Sammy's too mature…}

'I am an old man you know?'

{Not in this life}

Luna got a point but… my mind isn't young. 

"A bundle of Luru grass for 25 Copper coins"

The money here goes as follows: 1copper=handful of flour 100 coppers=1 silver 100 silver=1 gold 1000gold= 1Platinum. There is about 10,000 platinum in circulation and they're only available to nobles. 

But the only thing I need to remember is the copper to silver, I'm never reaching gold anyways.

"Be careful out there kid" 

I nodded as I left the shop, and immediately went to the marketplace. I won't get kicked out now since I have proper clothing and I'm wearing a green robe. 

I then went to different vendors

"I have a horned rabbit in good condition"

"Oh, it's the green kid! Sorry but my stall is already full with meat"

I nodded and went to another stall, at the end of the day I managed to sell all the rabbit meat, although it wasn't skinned. 

I took a rest on the sidewalk with a skewer in my hand. It's my reward for the day. It's cheap for 5 coppers anyways. 

—chomp!

It's tasty and it makes me want to buy more. In the end, I made 1 silver and 45 copper. It's a good haul. 

As I was enjoying my skewer I saw a couple of robed guys, in black robes. I know those guys, they're the ones who kept chasing me, and now I easily spotted them. It's time for me to leave. 

But when I was about to run one of the robbed people removed their hood. It's a woman with pink hair and reddish eyes. She's so beautiful she looks like a doll. 

"S-Sammy!"

{Gasp! She's the woman you saved two years ago Markus}

"Is she a good guy…?"

{Well I think?}

[What is it, Luna?]

{Argh! I don't know!}

The pink-haired woman went up to me, the others just stayed behind. 

"Samuel, right?"

I nodded, she looked at me with a bright smile, I don't know why though, but she didn't give off a creepy aura. 

Squatting down she met my eye level, I took off the hood. She looked happier than before. 

"Oh my! You are him! My name is Penelope Von Sandrei, I came here for you"

"...?"

I properly displayed the emotion of confusion. 

"Do… you wanna know where your mom is?"

With those words I vehemently nodded my head to convey my emotions, I miss mom I would do anything to get her back. 

"Sammy… I'm sorry but…"

'Sorry but what? What tell me!!'

My mind and face are stiff. 

"it's better to show you, come with me"

She held out her hand and I took it, we walked side by side but when we walked back to the black robbed group they were stunned. 

"We were trying to get close to him…!"

"This is unfair…!"

"how come madam…!"

"now now, the thing we needed to do is done"

"That's unfair madam, how did this cute child even manage to listen to you?"

"This child saved me back then… although… eye colour is not the same"

Is she talking about Markus? When he takes over my eye colour changes, 'my' eye colour is black, Markus is blue and Luna is grey. 

I hid more behind Penelope. The black-robed individuals started whining more. Penelope only laughed.
