Aftermath

|•Chapter 13:- Aftermath•|

It has been two weeks after the dark elf defeat and it was still the main topic of discussion. Luke who was on the mountain training, had come down some days prior and had heard the rumors. He wanted to meet up with Lorcán the great bounty hunter, but for some reason, Lorcán had not been spotted for days. No one knew where he went or what happened to him, he hasn't been taking jobs either, some said the dark elf spirit still haunted him and maybe had finally killed him.

Luke didn't believe all that, he believed Lorcán is somewhere training or healing. So he set off on a journey to find this bounty hunter. Along the line, he had completed numerous missions and the most note able was the defeat of the four headed beast.

This beast was rumoured to be a human once. They were a group of small adventures who called themselves Lokin derived from the god name Loki. This group was made up of five adventurers, each with a unique strength. Tho, one of the five wasn't satisfied with his power he believed he was weaker than his comrade and out of this lack of contentment and self doubt, he seeked for power from every possible way. Finally meeting a demon, he thought his prayers has been answered. The demon offered him unrivaled power for the souls of his comrades which he agreed saying to himself it was for the greater good and he'll be strong enough to fight for all their dreams but that dream was cut short. His comrade souls were taken by the demon and the demon attempted putting numerous demon in the man's body which he succeeded but it also altered the man biology in return giving him four heads the heads which looked like the head of his comrades, but the voices within this heads were nothing like his comrade, they were tainted in darkness. Out of anger and depression he set out on a rampage destroying anything he could find in sight, he thought death would be an answer to his atrocities and greed, but no one had managed to kill him until he met Luke Tempest.

On that fine day, Luke Tempest was passing through the destroyed Chimera and was heading north and there, was a small village. The people in this village looked pale and sick, it was as if they had sleepless night. Immediately Luke stepped into this village, he was gathered by the villagers.

"Adventurer, did you come to save us?" Luke was confused at their attitude and the sudden question from this little girl, but he wasn't the type to shy away from a plee.

"What's the problem?" He asked smiling, but the girl couldn't help but cry so a man who had also rushed to Luke explained the situation.

"He is just at the west of the village". The man concluded, he was sober but he managed to finish the story. According to the man, many adventurers had come but non has succeeded. It seemed a mission was sent out to defeat this beast.

"Leave it to me" Luke assured with a smile but it was only welcomed with a pale look, they have already heard those words a dozen times in the past three days. Luke immediately ventured west to were the beast resided, he noticed there wasn't any civilization around that vicinity and he immediately sensed something was wrong. The deeper he ventured, the scarier the terrain looked and at a time he stopped in his tracked, he knew he had arrived to where the beast was. A large voice resonated from a mile away and almost in a blink a four headed beast appeared, it was only wearing a blue trouser to cover his lower abdomen and it was very muscular. His voice echoed as he spoke.

"Y-yet a-nother food" Luke glared at the monster without saying a word, Luke immediately shot at it at all four of its head as fast as he could. The monster wasn't fazed, his wound closed up as soon as it opened. The monster stomped it foot and an earthquake began to occur, the earth was being split opened. Luke immediately took precautionary measures, levitating into the atmosphere but that wasn't enough the beast was already in front of him landing a bone shattering punch to his chest, which made Luke land with a thud coughing out blood. Above Luke, the beast was with a large fireball on his hand and was about smashing it into Luke.

Luke closed his eyes and just stood there not flinching a muscle, the beast was seconds away from crushing him but he didn't careless. Almost at the moment of impact, a huge gust of wind pushed the opponent away to the ground and hold him still on the ground, Luke was using a wind technique which allows him to read the opponent every move through the slightest change in wind current. The beast couldn't move, he was pressed down by unknown forces but that isn't enough to stop him. He detached his heads and from each head grew a body, a bit smaller than the original. They all moved in unison attacking Luke.

Luke was able to anticipate their moves, but he couldn't handle four at at a time. He would dodge some punches and receive some bone shattering ones. He knew the process wasn't helping so he emitted an electric aura which gave him an edge, the aura didn't completely burn their arm off but it reduced the impact of the punch. Condensing the wind, Luke decapitated the beast countless times, but they only kept regenerating over and over again and at a very fast rate. The other body which housed the four heads, stood up and grew a head of his own. Now they were five.

Luke thought of flying up but they might catch up to him, a huge mirage of fire balls brought him out of his daze, Luke covered himself in a dorm of water. Luke could use three elements but had only mastered one which was wind. The water protected him rain of fire. Inside the water dome, he could see the beasts approaching.

That was when he realized something, if he destroyed the beast soul he could kill it but he was tampering a technique he shouldn't. The beasts tried punching from the water dome, the water immediately dissipated and Luke was in a cacoon of spinning air, which also protected him from the flames. The beasts couldn't touch him. The weather grew darker, and Luke hair turned white and he spoke a word.

"Tog" this single move caused huge tornadoes, shattering any standing building. A blue ball appeared before Luke. "Take" he spoke again and the souls of the beasts which were held within the tornado began to be absorbed. It took a long while before it was completely absorbed and then the blue ball of energy destroyed. The intense wind began to subside and Luke fell to the ground becoming overwhelmed by fatigue. The monster body has been destroyed to shred and the legion set free. Luke couldn't even speak a word. He fell on his knees, then to the floor. The villagers who felt the breeze of the wind were left in awe. After the intense wind had cleared, they picked up courage and went to check the field. They only found a fainted Luke with no sign of the beast around. They were still weary but they managed to save Luke. Ever since, he has been termed the wind god Luke Tempest.

The next day, Luke had recovered fully and continued his journey but his journey was cut short when news reached him. The Foresters had been defeated and the blade which was used to seal the dark elf had been stolen. Luke was pissed, he hadn't found Lorcán who might be able to defeat the dark elf and he's no where near to even protect the people. He began returning to Torah to get the full gist as fast as he could.

Fear once again gripped people, it was pure chaos no one knowing where to run too or who the enemy was. Rumors and question began arising again. The dark elf wasn't truly defeated? Some said he was intentionally defeated so he could get to where the Foresters are and defeat them. Just in a day, the words spread like wild fire and one huge question kept arising with no answer. Where was Lorcán? The man who was said to once defeat this elf, he had been missing for days and some said he had been killed. The culprits of the Foresters incident were spotted the next day on the same spot they had caused the havoc. Intentionally instilling fear in the people and killing all the adventures who tried to approach them. It was massacre. A declaration of something sinister, of pain and pestilence. But In the darkest night the light shine brighter and out of the midst of this chaos appeared a young lad who had been off duties for days, a warrior who doesn't smile at the face of evil. The man with the sword and calls upon Odin. His name Lydo Dleo
