Power up

|•Chapter 14 Power up•|

In the darkest night the light shine brighter and out of the midst of this chaos appeared a young lad who had been off duties for days, a warrior who doesn't smile at the face of evil. The man with the sword and calls upon Odin. His name Lydo Dleo.

Lydo had heard about the dark elf, about Lorcán and the incident before hand but at the time of this incident, he was far away from this lands and immediately he returned something happened to him, a transformation of some sort that had made him acquire greater power.

It was just at the heat of the invent of Vishous the dark elf when the boy Lydo had just returned. He stares at the necklace he took from a bandit few weeks ago whilst sitting on a tree. He had just finished a gruesome fight with three beasts and also found a place to bathe and rest.

"The necklace I wore and uncontrollable killed a person" he muttered staring at the accessory on his hand. During one of his mission, the necklace had fallen from his pocket so he decided to wear it. His mind went blank at the moment he put it on and it was as if he was being controlled by unknown forces. His mind was constantly racking itself on what the necklace could be or why it made him loose control. He finally decided to wear it again, this time away from civilization. Immediately he put it on, it was as if the world was spinning, he fell from the tree and everything went blank.

Lydo opened his eyes but everything felt eery, it felt different. It was as if he wasn't in his own world. The place looked hellish, volcanoes at both sides Lydo looked around to observe this new place he found himself in. It was confusing, he wore a necklace and now he finds himself in this weird place. The earth was strong, hard and hot. He slowly got up from the ground and looked up, the sky was blood red. Lydo was visibly confused, he couldn't comprehend what was happening or what has happened. He began walking forward still looking around. Lydo spotted a cave when he first landed here, and so he went there. He thought It might be a clue to where he was.The interior of the cave looked a lot different than any other random cave it was decorated with weird designs, which heightened Lydo curiosity so he just kept moving forward and suddenly he heard a voice.

"Hello there" Lydo turned to see who it was and immediately, the whole placed changed, the decorations where still there but more was now visible, a throne had appeared at the middle of the room, no doors, windows whatsoever only the path Lydo came from, the cave floor was a bit cooler. Some kind of magic changed the cave. Suddenly, a devil like figure appeared in front of Lydo. It spoke in the voice Lydo heard before.

"So you are the new user?" New user? Lydo was visibly confused but immediately realized he was talking about the necklace

"How does that necklace have anything to do with anything?" Lydo asked the devil as he went to sit on a chair in the room. The devil body was like a shadow and eyes were red but he has a human physique.

"The necklace is a product of hellhiem, demons were sealed inside and it was forged in the deepest parts of this place. That necklace is my possession and I released it to midgard, your realm for a sole purpose of fulfilling my desire, getting human souls. Then a Titan offered a wager, It was used by the Titan Oton to bestow human powers, but you killed the last weilder didn't you?" He smirked

"If you want to go out here without doing my bidding you have to kill me" He chuckled staring dead eye at Lydo. Kill him? What does he mean? Anyways I'll just finish this soon. Lydo thought to himself as he reluctantly shot a lightning bolt at the demon, he didn't look fazed. The bolt passed right through him and destroyed his chair which immediately fixed back

"I have to warn you, physical attacks don't work on me" he laughed this time. "Physical attack? What is this guy? Well, I have many tricks up my sleeve." Lydo said to himself. He noticed, he couldn't feel any electron in his opponent only few in the surrounding premises, "if that can't work, then my energy Absorbtion will." Lydo began absorbing energy from the place but specified more at demon.

"Energy Absorbtion, nice skill" the demon spoke "How much energy can you absorb and how much can you release to the atmosphere? I have a very large energy, this place energy is mine" he chuckled leaving Lydo a bit disaapointed and furious. He got up as the demon spoke again

"There's only one way to defeat me, if you can attack the soul. It's said the soul and the body is linked. Have you heard of spiritual energy?" He said smiling while still sitting on his chair. Lydo was angry at this point, he knew non of his attack would work. "How I'm I to access spiritual energy" Lydo said to himself clenching his fist so hard, he was so angry and disaapointed at his weakness that he could feel his soul burning in anger. He clenched his fist so tight and for a second he felt a strange energy, it was as if he was touching something inside him, his soul essence. At that second he created a bolt this mixed with his soul creating a spiritual energy infused bolt. It was a dark coloured lightning bolt. He looked at the demon now and yelled

"Odin strike". Lydo was raised by the old man to believe in the gods, out of obidence, he follows the old man teaching naming his techniques after the gods. Throwing the bolt at the demon, the bolt was huger than anyother he created, faster than normal lightning but it took a toll out of him. He couldn't even stand. The demon had somehow deflected the attack and was smiling, "using spiritual energy is not used to mortal beings, your body has not mastered it and that's where the necklace comes into play" the necklace then appeared in Lydo's hand.

"Absorb its energy, if you can and succed then you can use spiritual energy at a high level" Lydo looked at the necklace on his hand and sighed. "While help me? I thought you wanted to kill me?" The demon laughed "Humans face a greater calamity, I'm trying to give them a fighting chance but death would always come for you." Lydo didn't understand, but It was his ticket to greater power. He began absorbing its energy, it seemed overwhelming his hand was breaking apart, the pain was unbearable but he dared not stop, he was healing himself and continuing the act and soon enough he absorbed it all with the necklace disappearing and his hands brutally scarred. He fainted afterwards.

He woke up feeling pain all over his hands and whole body. He looked at his hand and it was still scarred, it was also glowing so it wasn't a dream as he had thought. Lydo had this eery feeling in his chest. He stretched forth his hand and performed the Odin strike. It was as disastrous as ever but didn't almost kill him like before. He touched the ground and suddenly he felt energy leave him and something like a pillar appeared on the ground and a lightning bolt arose from the ground going upward. Lydo stood up, feeling the spiritual energy swirling in him it was different from any normal energy he has tampered with. He channelled it to the ground with precision and was able to summon lightning from the ground.

He tried another weird technique infusing all the pillar appearing on the ground with energy and it produced a large lightning bolt headed upward. After that the scar went off his arm and he felt normal again, he didn't understand how or why the energy suddenly dwindled and the scar on his hands suddenly vanishing. He hasn't really gotten the hang of it but it seemed like an activation thing to him. A great time had passed after the incident and Lydo continued training in that spot.

After a while passed, he returned to kanras and was headed to Torah to take a mission from the Foresters and test his new powers, that was when he heard the news of the Foresters he was furious and also pleased. He has got a bone to pick and only wishes it's the dark elf he encounters so this warrior name Lydo Dleo would be written in gold. The thought made him smile.

He headed to Torah and where the Foresters used to be, a man was sitted in the rubble and sighed immediately he spotted Lydo. "Are you the one named Lorcán Kincaid?" Lydo chuckled "Brace yourself, for today you shall gnash your teeth in pain and why you plee for salvation you shall remember the man who put you in your misery. My name is Lydo Dleo and I'm your devil."
