Recovering

She clutched onto his shirt shivering a bit. He took off his coat and wrapped her in it. He didn't leave her side. Soon they arrived at a mansion. He had wanted to take her to his home but seeing the way she was suffering he brought her to his only friend's house. His friend Chen Jing had already been told about the sudden accident.

The doctors had already been prepared for. He was led to a room and laid her down carefully as if she was glass that could break.

As he turned to go, the unconscious girl was suddenly jolted awake and clung to his arms not letting go" Please don't leave...." her voice was soft as she drifted onto the unconscious state again.

"Shhhh...am right here" he sat beside her on the bed and calmed her down.

Lu Laoyang sat by her and signalled the doctors to have the examination. He held her hand tightly and firmly as the doctors treated his girl. She had been injured in the leg and the arm.

Soon her temperature began to rise. She was having a high fever. Lu Laoyang frowned. He looked at the doctor" Her temperature has risen"

"It's okay Mr Lu, it's because of the pains it will soon subside"

Lu Laoyang was about to talk but the doctor continued" Mr Lu apart from the gunshot in her arm and swollen leg everything is okay"

"Hmm you can leave," he said coldly again

After they left he kissed Ning Quio's forehead wishing her a speedy recovery. From today onwards he would never let her out of his sight.

He wanted to know why she had been kidnapped but the men were still under investigation, which meant he had to use his ways to find out. After12 hours her fever subsided. Lu Laoyang breathed a sigh of relief. His friend had gone out so only two of them were in the house. He called his secretary to arrange a car for them and drove her to his house. They sat in the backseat while Cheng Li drove them.

Two days later

Ning Quio hadn't woken up yet after three days, Lu Laoyang had called the doctors to have a checkup on her but everything showed she was fine. Lu Laoyang sat by her as he cleaned her body, after three days of staying in bed her skin had become softer. He cleaned her body and got out to put those things away. He wore a printed top and black trousers.

Ning Quio woke up a bit weak, the sun was bright and shone through her window. She checked her surroundings and realised she was in her room in Lu Laoyang's house. She got up from the bed when suddenly the previous events flowed through her mind. Lu Laoyang had rescued her as always. She stood up when the door suddenly opened. It was Lu Laoyang, seeing her awake he rushed to her and made her sit back on the bed.

"Are you okay? are you feeling pains anywhere? let me call..."

"Am okay"

"You look pale I should call the doc..."

"I'm really okay"

"Are you sure?"

"Lu Laoyang am really hungry " she said with a poker face

"Stay here,I'll get you something"

Seeing how he cared about her she was still a bit surprised, she knew he loved her but Everytime he took care of her so gently she couldn't help getting a bit surprised. She had never thought such a big man would care about her so much. A CEO of a big company. He was one of the richest men in the world.
