[Quest: The Kraken]

Every few years there is a sighting of this legendary beast, that destroys ships and turns the ocean black with ink. Normally the Kraken would stay hidden from man but something has stirred it from its slumber. This quest can not be refused

Task: Defeat the Kraken

Failure: The Kraken will wreak havoc upon the East Blue.

Closing the prompt Hiko looked around in the water to see the remains of the ship floating in the water, " Hiko, what is that thing. " Turning to the sound of the voice Hiko found Nami floating in the water a few feet away, " It's after me, you need to get away. " Using his devil fruit power Hiko stood on top of the water as he glared at the eight tentacles poking out of the water like towers.

Pushing off the water Hiko launched himself at one of the tentacles using his momentum to power his punch. The flesh of the squid was soft and spongy as Hiko's fist sunk into the tentacle, ' my devil fruit powers are too weak to affect something this big I'll be restricted to using my tail. '

Jumping to the side Hiko avoided the second tentacle that tried to swat him like a fly, maneuvering through the air Hiko slashed through the squid's spongy body. Blue blood fell like waterfalls as a foot-long gash almost severed the appendage.

From the ocean below a deep roar of pain shook the air and making Nami cover her ears, landing on the water Hiko looked up to see that the wound he had made had almost completely healed.

Frowning Hiko opened his status, from his latest feeding he had a total of one hundred biomass, dumping forty into strength and forty into agility Hiko felt his muscles swell with new power at first before they reduced in size. Grinning Hiko launched off the ground slamming his fist into the squid, with his newfound strength Hiko's devil fruit powers were able to overcome the Krakens shock resistance.

Down the length of the tentacle, flesh ruptured as the vibrations wreaked havoc inside the monster's body, letting out another roar the Kraken started to furiously swing at Hiko. Blood starting to boil Hiko had to weave in between the tentacles using them as platforms, as he dodged the fifth wild swing Hiko heard something breach the water as a much smaller tentacle reached up and grabbed his foot before pulling him down towards the water.

Bracing himself Hiko slammed into the surface of the water, holding the kinetic energy inside Hiko grunted in pain as the energy fought against him. Hiko was face to face with the eye the size of the moon, almost twenty feet across Hiko felt excited to face something so large. As Hiko floated in the water the yellow eye moved to focus on his figure, grinning wildly Hiko shot through the water slamming his fist into Kraken's eye.

A shockwave traveled through the water from the impact as blue blood clouded the water, the monster let out its loudest roar yet as its eye was turned to a pulp. With savage glee, Hiko started to claw out the Kraken's eye eating handfuls here and there. Hiko felt something wrap around his waist before he was pulled from the Krakens eye and thrown like a dirty tissue.

Hiko felt the large hooks from the tentacles suction cups tear out a large chunk of skin from his waist, as he was sent flying through the water Hiko glared into the monsters mauled eye as it glared at him. Never before had he felt such a need to destroy another being, Hiko watched as a cloud of black ink surrounded the squid blocking his view of the monster. A second later a system notification appeared in front of him.

[Quest Completed: The Kraken]

You have repelled the Kraken both of you sustaining mortal injuries, the Kraken is now your nemesis. Since you didn't fully complete the quest some rewards have been removed or lessened.

[Quest: Mortal Enemy]

You have made a Nemesis, both parties have exchanged crippling blows and swore to finish the job no matter the cost. This quest can not be refused.

Task: Kill the Kraken

Failure: Death

Rewards: 1,000,000 PP, Title, Skill, Trophy, Major Evolution

As he was reading the edge of his vision became blurry, mustering all the strength he had Hiko opened his system before dumping the rest of his Biomass into endurance. Using healing hands Hiko watched as the large chunk of flesh slowly started to regenerate before he passed out.

After an undetermined amount of time later Hiko groaned as he rolled onto his side, opening his eyes Hiko found he was resting on a piece of draft wood, " You're finally up, thank the all blue. " Hiko's view was then blocked by Nami who hugged him into her chest, " How long was I out. "

Nami released Hiko from his soft prison, " It's been three days since you fought with that thing. " Hiko felt his blood churn when he thought of the overgrown squid, " We need to find land and fast, I have a map and some food stored, but it will only last a few days and I can't go hunting in my condition. "

Pulling out the map and a wrapped ration Hiko handed both to Nami, " I'm going back to sleep tell me when the stars are out so we can plot a course. Nodding solemnly Nami started to tear off bit's of the hard biscuit, sighing Hiko laid back down to rest.
