Eve blinked continuously at him, her emerald eyes gazing at him affectionately and with a touch of apprehension. She swallowed nervously as he approached her, His fangs emerged from his mouth, gleaming white and dangerously sharp. As he drew nearer to her vulnerable neck, Eve tensed and took a sharp breath, gripping his shoulders tightly. "How much will this hurt?" she asked, her hands still clutching onto him. His deep red eyes locked onto her green ones, strands of water cascading down his hair, tracing lines across his face. He resembled a divine figure, a male deity. His left hand slid down to her waist, pulling her closer, leaning in towards her neck, gently inhaling the scent. This caused Eve to shiver slightly, her grip on him tightening. "It may sting at first," he whispered softly, slowly rubbing his nose against her neck, "but the pain will only last for a fleeting moment. After that, it will fade away."

Chapter 7: cone acrodd

Eve coughed, the sensation of warm water spilling from her lips. Gasping for breath, she opened her eyes, only to find herself in a completely different part of the forest. Startled, she sat up and looked around. Standing a few feet away was the man from the grocery store, his face filled with concern.

"What... what happened?" Eve managed to stammer, still disoriented from her unexpected dip in the icy lake.

"You were in danger, Eve," the man replied. "You tried to end your life, but I was able to save you."

Embarrassment and guilt flooded Eve's cheeks. "I'm sorry. I didn't realize it was that risky."

"I understand that you're new to this land, Ms. Mothew," the man scolded. "But you must be more careful. You can't recklessly put your life in danger without understanding the potential risks."

As the man spoke, realization washed over Eve. She had been careless, too caught up in her thirst for adventure. She had leaped into the icy water without considering the consequences.

"Thank you for saving me," Eve said gratefully, as she attempted to stand up.

The man reached out a hand to help her. "You're welcome," he replied, turning to leave.

"Wait!" Eve called out. Just as she was about to move, she felt herself pinned to the ground. A high-pitched whistling sound filled the air.

A cold hand covered her mouth, and a weight pressed down on top of her. "Stay down," the man whispered into her ear. "No matter what you hear, stay here."

Shivers raced down Eve's spine, but she managed to nod. The man rolled away from her and slowly rose to peek through the trees. Eve couldn't be sure, but in the blink of an eye, he disappeared without a trace.

minutes later Eve could hear a loud roar, that sounded very painful amd deep , she controlled her urge not to get up and keep staying down , but just immediately, she heard the sound of rustling leaf , she turned to see a very ugly creature that had the head of a wolf but was much uglier and dangerous, its eyes glowing red with a fiery intensity. The creature prowled closer, its fur matted and wet, its fangs sharp and dripping with what looked like venom. Eve's heart pounded in her chest as fear surged through her.

On instinct, Eve summoned all her courage and forced herself to stay still, barely daring to breathe. The creature sniffed the air, its razor-sharp senses detecting Eve's presence. Its glowing eyes locked onto her, and in that moment, time seemed to stand still.

Just as The animal moved to attack, Eve found the energy to ran , she immediately stood and ran the opposite road.

Eve sprinted as fast as her legs could carry her, her heart pounding in her chest. She could hear the heavy footsteps of the creature right behind her, its growls echoing through the trees. Panic consumed her, but she pushed past her fear, focusing on nothing but the path ahead.

Branches whipped against her face, her feet slipping on the damp forest floor, but she didn't stop. She couldn't afford to. As she continued to flee, she searched for any sign of safety, any chance to escape the clutches of the creature that pursued her.

Finally, she stumbled upon a small clearing. In the center stood an ancient, towering tree, its branches reaching out like protective arms. Without hesitation, Eve darted towards it, knowing that its height would provide her with temporary refuge.

Climbing up as quickly as she could, but the animal was faster it caught onto her, and tried pulling her down it scratched her arm giving her a repulsive bleeding and pain, she immediately let go of the tree and tried crawling away from the creature , creature's grasp. With newfound strength, she gathered herself and stood tall, the bleeding in her arm slowing and the pain subsiding.

As the golden light receded, Eve took stock of her surroundings. She found herself in another part of the forest, far from the creature's reach. She looked down at her arm, amazed to see that the deep scratch had completely healed, the skin now smooth and unblemished.

With a mix of relief and confusion, Eve tried to process what had just happened. It was as if a power she had never known existed had come to her aid, saving her from the brink of danger. What was this golden light? And how did she have the ability to summon it?

Lost in her thoughts, Eve suddenly became aware of a presence behind her. She turned around and saw the man from the grocery store once again, his face filled with dangerous intent as he looked at Eve.

" who are you ?" He asked his voice thundering.

"Who are you?" He asked, his voice thundering. The man from the grocery store stood before Eve, his expression filled with dangerous intent as he locked eyes with her. Eve took a step back, her heart racing as she tried to make sense of the situation.

"I...I don't understand," she stammered, her voice trembling. "I thought you saved me earlier. Why are you acting this way?"

The man's gaze hardened, and he took a slow, deliberate step toward Eve. " why are you here ,your likes are not needed here in Crest wood I would advice you to leave."
