Chapter 3

Page returned home, washed up, and then went to bed. But her phone soon started ringing, which quickly roused her from sleep. It was Corey calling.

She looked out the window at the darkening sky and tried to ignore the call. But the phone didn't stop ringing.

"Boss, could you please come over here? There's a trouble with the bar."

"I got it."

She tousled her hair. After getting herself dressed, Page went to the bar.

It wasn't serious trouble. An hour had passed after Page handled it. "Boss, why not join the party since you're already here?" Corey said.

Page understood instantly that their true purpose was to get her to the party.

She wasn't interested in the party, but since she was already here and not sleepy, she agreed.

"Great! You will finally witness the surprise we have prepared for you," Corey said after reaching his goal.

Page opened a bottle of wine and poured herself a glass. She had no expectations of the surprise.

Just after taking a sip, she almost sputtered when she saw a line of men walk in.

"Boss, there would have been a lot of men available for you to choose from, but it's late, and only a few of them are still here," Corey stated. "They all enjoy working out and have good bodies. Please hurry to choose if you are interested in someone."

Page tried to ignore Corey, but when she noticed a handsome man staring seductively at her, she couldn't help but be attracted to him.

"..."

Were they just regular men? Of course not. Each of them was a charming goblin.

The door suddenly opened again. A tall man entered the bar.

Corey stated: "You're the new guy. Right? You came too late. You wouldn't be eligible to come here if it weren't for your good look..."

He suddenly stopped talking and just stared at the man.

Page felt quiet at last and tried to remain ignored. But the new guy approached her.

Page cast a gaze down at the man's long legs and muttered, "What a pair of legs. As far as I can remember, only one person whose legs can compare to yours."

That person was Robert.

She knew him well because they had been together for ten years. She had already felt Robert's gorgeous legs several times when she was not paying attention to him.

"So who's that person?"

The man in front of him also asked this question, and his low voice seemed to carry danger.

Page looked up and immediately matched the man's icy stare.

She had been a little drunk but suddenly became sober. She stood up.

"Why are you here?"

Unconsciously, she retreated half a step.

No longer allowing her to retreat, Robert stepped up to her, stared at her, and questioned, "Getting yourself a man?"

He turned to look at the other men in the room.

Everyone who was seen winced.

Page felt speechless. She just wanted to rest her mouth but didn't want Robert to misunderstand her.

She was just about to explain, but the door suddenly opened. A handsome man who got the style that all young girls like went in. He walked right up to Page.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, Page. I got stuck in traffic."

"I don't know you, please don't call me by my name." Page quickly retorted.

The man said with a narcissistic wink and a smile to Page, "We'll get to know each other with a little more conversation."

"..."

It was, in fact, harder to explain now.

When Page was about to give up her explanation, Robert jerked her into his arms and picked her up.

Page was stunned, and she struggled in his arms, "Put me down!"

Holding her in his arms, Robert walked out without saying a word.

A roomful of men was stunned and stayed where they were.

Corey didn't expect this. He just tried to make Page happy.

Page was carried up to the top floor of the room as Robert's security stood to watch at the entrance.

Page did not become frightened because this was her space, she would not be in any danger.

"You..."

Just as she started to speak, she was suddenly kissed.

It made her eyes grow wide.

Page tried to push him but was held tighter.

"Still want another man?"

Robert spoke with a hostile tone.

"We already got a divorce." Page said with a straight face.

"Page Lynd!"

Robert's rage was out of control. After he stopped allowing her to speak, they had lots of sex.

When Page awoke the following morning and glanced at the time, it was already midday. Never before had she got up so late.

However, Robert, who was guilty of it not awake yet.

Before the divorce, Page was up at this hour making Robert a tasty breakfast.

This was not a good habit.

She wouldn't prepare breakfast for him once more.

Page grunted, got up from the bed, and wrote a note.

The note said, "Give you a dollar reward for comforting you."

She put a dollar down on the table and glared at Robert again.

Having sex with ex-husband after divorce? What a stupid thing.

It was a dumb idea to have sex with your ex-husband after divorce.

Not long after she left, Robert also woke up.

Page made a phone call to the hospital and learned that Vita was recovering well.

It seemed to be regular for Robert to find a mistress outside. After all, men always wanted to satisfy their desires, especially a powerful man like Robert.

Page felt a little angry.

Now this situation was complicated.

Her phone rang. It was Paddy Cronin from the Cronin Family, her good friend.

"Page, I heard that you had sex with Robert. So cool!"

Page was stunned for a moment.

"What are you talking about?"

Page and Robert married secretly, and no one knew about their relationship. They never attended an event at the same time.

So far, only her family, the Snow Family, and Robert's assistant knew her true identity.

What surprised Page was that Paddy knew about it.

"Don't play dumb. It's circulated widely among my friends." Paddy chuckled.
