Chapter One: the beginning

Welcome to the world of gunmage ruled by guns and magic a rather unique combination not seen very often in medieval times but certainly not the first time this has happened and it all starts with one little girl named yuusha Murata who was raised in a small village in the continental kingdom of Macht-

The girl Murata then wakes up and gets ready for another day of training to become a Gunmage at the official training centre for Aspiring Gunmages then when she gets there she sees a adult woman with dark blue eyes and purple hair wearing black military clothes who was waiting for her angrily and then says

[{Adela: Yuusha Murata you're late sleeping in like usual I'm assuming}]

Murata looks back and says

[{Murata: no need to worry it's only been an hour}]

Adela then grabs Murata by the neck and lifts her saying furiously

[{Adela: listen here you little shit that hour was the most important part of the damn lesso-}]

Then a man with a dragon tattoo on his neck grabbed Adela's hand and said calmly

[{:strange man: put her down Adela she's very important especially with her potential plus she has the highest number of stars in the school thanks to that and we can't replace her not with the potential fall of of the four gods}]

She looked at him in fear and annoyance but she put her hand down and let go of Murata who was struggling to catch her breathe and then responded

[{Adela: who cares about a damn prediction what if she's the one to bring about those gods end Sigurd}]

He then looked at Adela in the eyes and said

[{Sigurd: you know very well that's not possible especially if you remember who she is}]

Murata was utterly confused by what she just heard and asks

[{Murata: wha-what! Who am I what's so important about this exactly?! }]

The dragon slayer looked Murata in the eyes and smiled then said in a dark tone

[{Sigurd: you will find out eventually it's only a matter of time now go to class and don't ever be late again or else}]

He thus began to speak in a demonic tone that put shivers down Murata's spine then he said

[{Sigurd: if thou shult not wake at 5:50 thou shult be struck by Thor son of the all father heed this warning tiger cub as this curse shall last till the day of ruin or until the day you graduate from this academy or in worse case scenario it burns down}]

Murata was scared beyond belief and confused as well as annoyed at the thought of losing sleep as she got up to then walk to her class room and then she was greeted by her teacher the A Rank Gunmage Rosa who looked at Murata and said

[{Rosa: look who it is "the brave man" (a pun on her last name Yuusha which is one of the ways to spell hero in Japanese) did ya get enough sleep or you gonna fall asleep halfway through the lesson}]

Murata then looked her in the eyes enraged and then said

[{Murata: shut it old hag I'm not in the mood}]

Rosa was not impressed and changed from a happy tone to a serious tone and then said

[{calm yourself tiger if your gonna get an attitude do you at least know the four kings of macht}]

Murata then said cluelessly

[{Murata: no who are they?}]

Then Rosa said with a sigh

[{Rosa: fine allow me to explain it but only it to you but you must pay attention}]

Murata who was not impressed the replies

[{Murata: fine!! go ahead}]

Rosa then looks back at Murata and then says

[{Rosa: that's what I thought now the four kings of macht also known as the four supreme god class monsters are deities who reside over the four major tribes we have the chimera class kaiju Kong the king of humans who stands at 200 feet tall also the strongest of the four we then have the dragon king Leviathan after that we have the vampiric king and the first killer the immortal Cain also one of the great demon kings none surprising seeing as vampires are one of the demon archetypes after that we have the king of beasts Torakami the white tiger one who seemingly disappeared one million years ago no one has seen it for a million years some people say it gave up it's physical body but scientists believe even though magic exists it shouldn't be possible to become a spirit by simply deciding to not want a physical form although some s rank Gunmages claim to be spiritual beings that is a different method then the one used by the white tiger}]

Murata then gets up and says

[{Murata: hold up what do you mean different method there's only two methods and you are seriously going to tell me that just because it was a different method to the ones S ranks used it's not true}]

Rosa then frowns at Murata then asks

[{Rosa: If that's the case what is the other method and can you show us}]

Murata then smirks and answered with

[{Murata: easily first method is death}]

Everyone looked at her like she was crazy in the head she then continued on with her explanation with

[{Murata: the second method is to remove this energy that lives inside us all called Mantra for five seconds that I learned about in a book that we have at home if you are wondering now we need to get rid of all of it or this won't work}]

Everyone waited to see her do exactly that but then Rosa asked

[{Rosa: why aren't you demonstrating it then and how can you tell us about some strange energy that you didn't even confirm existed in the first place is this your version of a joke because it's not funny}]

Murata then looked at her in annoyance like she was some deity and said

[{Murata: because I already did it doing it again is just meaningless as for how I know we'll Adela told me about how i felt different from before the next day after I had done the he method also I god some help from a woman in my dreams}]

Everyone was holding back the urge to laugh at her but then she looked around and summoned a rock then she enlarged the rock then after enlarging the rock she split it into enough pieces so that everyone can have golf ball sized rocks of the same size after she handed everyone the ball she then spoke with confidence and said

[{Murata: I want all who don't believe me to throw a stone at me then see the results}]

Everyone then threw a rock at Murata only for it to burn into charcoal as soon as it left her body everyone was shocked as none of the rocks even fazed her}]

Then Rosa picked up one of the rocks and crushed it then said with determination

[{Rosa: it's basic magic power this is a spell you can't tell me you thought we would fall for this}]

Then the Adela walks in and says with annoyance

[{Adela: Rosa you can't be serious right now if you where so focused on debunking Murata this much then you would sense magic in that rock or you would sense Her power right now because I for sure can sense it and it's greater then everyone in this room he'll I'd say she would beat everyone here in a fist fight hell I'm a S rank Gunmage and I can tell that a fight between the two of us would end with me having to call an ambulance in the end go ahead try and sense it I dare you or are you going to call quits and walk out on us like you usually do because for some reason everybody here isn't capable enough to actually fight Murata nor sense what she's capable of}]

Rosa then proceeds to attempt to sense Murata's magical power which for some reason was extremely difficult as if she was suppressing it to a point of zero (being a state where one's own power is literally zero meaning it can't be sensed by normal means) then she tries to assess her physical abilities then says unsurprised

[{Rosa: we'll that explains the rumour of her strength then}]

Murata then looks at Rosa with annoyance and asks

[{Murata: what rumours exactly are you talking about}]

Rosa then takes a deep breath and tries to hold her composure and says

[{Rosa: there are exactly four rumours going around one being that you aren't exactly human two that you where the daughter of one of the four kings although some jokingly suggested it was the king of humans as it would explain the third rumour that you had the body of Heracles but the face of Mona Lisa the fourth and final one was that your skill in Magic control wasn't actually that great it was that you actually had no magic power}]

Murata then looks at Rosa even more annoyed then says

[{Murata: we'll then i guess I have no choice but first of all the first rumour sound bogus as there's nothing suggesting otherwise the second one is bullshit as none of the four kings even resemble humans nog even the king of humans hell he's not even human he's a chimera class kaiju if human, gorilla and monkey do I look like a chimera class kaiju to you third rumour i guess that's not a rumour and I'll show you why}]

She then took of her shirt to everyone's shock and revealed a body suit which seemed to grip onto her body but wasn't straining her in any way or form but the biggest shock was that she was skinny yet had a 8 pack on her stomach instead of the normally possible 6 pack which shocked everyone then she said with confidence

[{Murata: as for the fourth rumour is simple to debunk watch me}]

Murata then begun to take a stance reminiscent of people in certain show or comic series characters take when powering up then her energy begun to rise at a alarming pace then in shock Adela began to whisper

[{Adela: E Rank?..D Rank?..C Rank?..B Rank?..A Rank?..S Rank?! How did her power sky rock this much you telling me when she was twelve her power has been suppressed this much time}]

Murata then looked at her and smiled then said

[{Murata: wanna see me go further? This is what happens when I release the power deep inside me although I need to be careful grandpa told me if is dangerous for me to remove my ear ring unless I'm in a situation where I must turn myself into a bomb and detonate all of my power}]

Adela wasn't just shocked she was scared of the fact that a teenager this young had this much power and was hiding even MORE power it was just inconceivable at this moment she is in the middle of seeing a being who could rival the 4 kings if she ever gained her full potential then Adela out of fear for the rest of the world then yells

[{Adela: Murata wait!}]

Murata then stops what she is doing then looks in confusion and says

[{Murata: why? I was just getting started}]

Adela in shock then said

[{Adela: if that's the case hold it you shouldn't be releasing that much magic energy you could end up creating a monster with that power you should know this!}]

Murata then looked Adela in the eyes with certainty and said

[{Murata: no need to sweat the small stuff it's not like I could actually break the barrier since my grandpa said I'm average}]

Adela then looked at her like she just heard the stupidest sentence in the world and said

[{Adela: average!? Murata are you serious you surpassed an S Rank gunmage and you say that's average? Plus if your grandpa says so he's either a monster or senile because no way is that average!! If you did release all your power you could probably create the next generation of the four kings!}]

Murata then said with confusion

[{Murata: nah my power isn't that great as for my grandpa he says that I couldn't hold a candle to the four kings well not yet at least}]

Adela then says in a mix of confusion and shock

[{Adela: are you serious!? Are you telling me that even a S rank Gunmage that surpasses space and time is THAT weak compared to the four kings!}]

Murata then remembered what her Grandpa said about the four kings and their army then looked back and said

[{Murata: well yes my grandpa said that even their soldiers are at least as strong as an S rank Gunmage and their generals are more then triple that my Grandpa says if I tried hard enough I could eventually surpass them but I don't really want to}]

Adela couldn't handle the shock and eventually she gave out and fainted in front of everyone then Murata looked back at Ross and says

[{Murata: Cap'n fell asleep so I'm going to take her home for the day you can continue without me}]

Rosa then looked back in annoyance and said

[{Rosa: WAIT A SECOND MURATA! You haven't passed this class you can't become a gunmage unless you do and today is very important}]

Murata looks back in annoyance and says angrily

[{Murata: oh don't worry about that I quit I'm going to go become an adventurer class Gunmage without passing graduating as long as I don't stay in this country I can go to other places like the kingdom of humans or go discover other kingdoms like that clan that was wiped off the face of the earth}]

Rosa then was shocked then says in annoyance

[{Rosa: are you telling me that you plan to leave the country without passing as a proper Gunmage why would you abandon your family just so that you could skip out on school and sleep in?! I don't get it }]

Murata then looked away and said in a very calm tone

[{Murata: I don't want to wake up so early and because all this work seems useless if I could just become a adventurer Gunmage and explore the world at the same time also aren't all the good Gunmages explorers since they learn so much I want to be just like them free, powerful and have lots of fun plus try new things}]

Rosa then calmed down in realisation that it's useless to convince Murata to stay then continue to teach but due to Murata being able to sense Mantra she sensed a energy signal about as great as a S Rank Gunmage then Murata looked back and saw a huge flame coming towards her and the class outside the window and attempted to stop it but before she could even try to weave her magic Weapon the building exploded killing everyone except Murata and Sigurd then Murata got up looked around to see burnt Corpses of her classmates even her Teacher Rosa was dead burnt she looked at Adela then started yelling and crying as she tried to wake up the S Rank Gunmage and said as she was continuously crying

[{Murata: ADELA! Wake up come on you need to wake up DAMNIT}]

Adela slowly opened her eyes but Murata not knowing this then attempted to strike her yelling

[{Murata: WAKE THE FUCK UP DAMNIT!!}]

As she strikes Adela she then realises that she has woken up she attempts to hug her and cries then Adela confused as to what's going on asks

[{Adela: what's going on why are you crying where's Rosa..!}]

The S Rank Gunmage then looks around and sees a bunch of corpses and then looks in the distance and sees a giant red creature with wings and orange gold eyes looking at them but in the distance Sigurd who Survived the blast then walks up to Adela at blinding speeds and says to Murata

[{Sigurd: oi Murata get up and stop crying you got a dragon to slay then you can go home and quit like you said you would}]

Murata then got up wiped her tears and said

[{Murata: *sobs* ok I'll try}]

Then Sigurd pulls out his great sword and says with a smile

[{Sigurd: we'll then let's go then I'll distract it and you can deal the finishing blow}]

Before Sigurd could react Murata had already ran to the Dragon with blinding speeds to the point where she was basically invisible then proceeded to axe kick said dragon but as Murata was going to deliver the finishing blow the dragon dodged it at high speed which was surprising for its size then said

[{dragon: don't you want to know why I'm doing this}]

Murata lost her calm demeanour and said angrily

[{Murata: why? what did we do to deserve this!?}]

He then proceeded to laugh and say with confidence

[{Dragon: no reason at all just because the king of dragon sensed a power to great to allow it to exist so I was sent here to destroy it}]

Murata was shocked and started tearing up realising what she had done by showing off her magic power the fact brought her to tears

But she the wiped her tears away and said with rage

[{Murata: so because of your kings ignorance and cowardice you murdered a school of innocent people}]

The dragon roared with laughter and then he said with confidence

[{dragon: you call it cowardly we call it killing two birds with one stone this happens every time we sense great power especially with the prophecy going around we need to make sure no one surpasses the four kings}]

Murata who was shook by what she was hearing then gritted her teeth and yelled out in rage

[{Murata: your seriously committing genocide over a rumour if the kings are that scared of a rumour}]

Her voice switched to a more aggressive and demonic tone as she finished her sentence with

[{Murata: the kings must fall!!}]

She then took off her shirt revealing her body suit then she took a stance and began powering up and then her Aura began to burst out in a white light with a hint of light blue began as her eyes then gained a white pattern

Then the dragon in shocked then said

[{Dragon: wait a minute those eyes and that Aura you aren't just a random little girl you ar-}]

Murata then stopped the giant dragon from finishing his sentence by saying

[{Murata: I don't care about who I am or where I'm actually from nor do I care if I'm not a human all I care about is my family and the safety of all that I care about I fight for humanity as a human so take your prophecy and shove it}]

She then decides to strike with everything she has and by gathering all her magic into her fist

[{Thunder breaker}]

Murata then struck the dragon with a strike so powerful it bent space time destroying the dragon with a single strike

As she powers down she then feels a powerful strain from using the unknown power that she had just displayed nearly fainting but as she does so Sigurd then catches her and helps her up then says with confidence

[{Sigurd you did it you slayed a dragon that was stronger then an S Rank Gunmage and you have unlocked a mysterious power within you}]

Murata then successfully attempted to muster up the strength to speak up just to say

[{Murata: I don't care all that matters to me now is my friends, family and the fact that I will always be human and fight for humanity as one but now the dragon king must pay for what he has done}]

With that said she fainted but Adela managed to catch her then says calmly

[{Adela: ok tiger let's get you home to grandpa}]
