Time Stops When I'm with Her. (MHA)

A peculiar teen dies after being hit by Truck-kun. As the beaming lights flash into her eyes and the immense force tore apart her body, she finds herself motionless drifting off in a seemingly endless void until one day a light shone down upon her and she woke up in the body of a child. ( I do not own My Hero Academia/MHA, or the cover photo used for the novel.)

Chapter 26:

Back in class, we were waiting for the most anticipated lesson of the day, combat training.

We were all sitting in our seats, with Eri sitting in my lap, waiting eagerly.

Well, I wasn't. All Might doesn't really hype me up like my peers.

Then, suddenly the doors burst open, and a huge hulking figure of pure muscle and no brains slides through, stopping right next to the podium.

"I AM HERE, COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!" booms All Might.

"All Might!"

"I can't believe it's really All Might!"

"So he is a teacher. Sakuya wasn't lying!"

"This year is gonna be totally awesome!"

"Hey, look. Is he wearing his Silver Age costume? How manly!"

Somehow, even with all of the shouting, I could hear the sound of Melissa's palm smacking her face as she facepalmed at her Uncle Might's antics.

"HAHAHA! YES, IT WAS ME, ALL MIGHT!"

I could stomach all the other catchphrases he says, but he dares steal my dad's?

"Oi, Banana-Might, don't steal my dad's catchphrases!"

"MY BAD, YOUNG IZAYOI, I FORGOT YOU WERE HIS CHILD FOR A MOMENT."

He began rummaging through his pockets, which I didn't know his costume even had, eventually pulling out some flashcards. After presenting the two cards that read "Combat" and "Training," respectively, he began speaking,

(A/N: alright, imma be real with y'all, I'm gonna have a stroke if I have to write in all caps for All Might's dialogue from now on, so I'm not gonna do it.)

"Welcome to the most important class at UA High. You can think of it as 'Hero-ing 101.'

Here, you will learn the basics of being a pro. What it means to fight in the name of good!

Let's get into it. Today's lesson will pull no punches! It's combat training!"

A feral grin broke out on Bakugou's face as he heard those words but quickly wiped it off of his face, replacing it with a determined smirk.

'Minor improvements… I guess.'

"But one of the keys of being a hero is looking good! All of your costumes were designed and made to your specifications that you sent into the school before the start of term."

As the twenty metallic boxes came out of the wall, the students cheered. Even I was getting a bit excited now; I could finally let loose and punch something and/or someone.

"Get yourselves suited up, and then meet me at Training Ground Beta!"

"Yes, sir!" the others replied as All Might dashed off.

When we reached the changing room, I altered time, like during the quirk assessment test, and began changing.

I wasn't as interested in other people's costumes as I was busy trying to fit my own. It was a pain to put on; OG Sakuya's outfit would have been hard enough without all of the modifications.

I have some contact lenses that Momo made for me. They allow me to switch between night vision and thermal imaging along with having a zoom function. A beneficial tool that works through a switch on my shield.

My shield is only a bulletproof dumbed-down version of Momo's own shield as I only wanted it to prevent me from having my brains blasted all over a wall when I'm not paying attention to my temporal barriers.

The outfit's previous material was substituted with a bullet-proof material with the same appearance that was waterproof and insulated against electrical attacks.

There were multiple knife holsters and two pistol holsters that held infinity pistols from the borderlands series courtesy of my wife. All were magnetically locking their respective weapons in place.

An exoskeleton on my upper body acted as both a strength enhancer and a battery pack for the various hidden wires located in the dress and gloves.

The gloves had the ability to conduct electricity from the power pack located on my back and shock anybody and anything that they touch.

Melissa's was a decent costume. I think she designed it to have room for improvement as she finds a fighting style that works for herself, then she will alter and improve it.

Well, no matter how bad it was. It couldn't have been worse than the canon wielder of OFA's bunny costume. Sometimes I have nightmares about that costume.

(A/N: Image here: ← )

Toga's costume was terrifying to witness her putting on.

I don't know how she did it, but she managed to convince Momo to make her a symbiote-style suit where it would attach onto her and put itself on.

It looked like carnage merged with Toga, minus all of the bloodlust and homicidal tendencies. It was a skintight red suit of an unidentifiable material that discreetly hid various tubing and blood storage containers.

The way that these tanks would fill up is through her canon method of the syringe mask setup, but it was also combined with some "extraction claws" she begged Power Loader to make.

They are gloves with needles that can extend into her target upon making a specified gesture with her hand. They then suck out the blood from the target and deposit them into the tanks with certain fingers connecting to different tanks.

The information I have on Momo's costume's specs was limited as she kept them secret. I did see her change the colors of the skin-tight suit, so I can only assume it has a form of adaptive camouflage implemented in it.

However, I knew that she looked sexy as hell, and I was getting thirsty watching her put it on. It just hugged all of her curves perfectly. What did I expect from a skin-tight suit, though?

Seeing that everybody on the girl's side was changed, I readjusted time for the boy's changing room so they would join us quicker.

Everybody else's costumes are the same as they were in canon. Not much of a surprise there.

I picked up Eri, making sure not to electrocute her as I did, and gave her a smoothie to sip on. Why did Fluffy-chan decide to cancel her lessons for today? Nobody apart from the rat overlord himself knows.

"They say that the clothes make the pros, young ladies and gentleman; you are the proof!"

He began posing in a weirdly familiar way before continuing,

"Take this to heart. From now on, you are all…

heroes in training!"

'Well, I already am a hero. I don't know what training is left for me to complete. I'll bring that up with Fluffy-chan later.'

"Now that you're all paying attention and ready, it's time for combat training!"

Of course, we couldn't just get straight into the action; someone had to say something.

"Sir! This is the same fake city from our entrance exam. Does that mean we'll be conducting urban battles again?" Iida asked with a raised hand.

"No, Iida… We came to a city so we could fight in a jungle guerilla warfare style..." I drawled out with a deadpan look on my face.

Some chuckles cropped up from my comment. Thankfully, for Iida, All Might wasn't perturbed and answered his query without an issue,

"Most of the villain fights you see on the news take place outside."

'Of course, they do. News outlets aren't just chilling out during raid meetings for the more discreet takedowns.'

"However, statistically speaking, run-ins with the most dastardly evildoers take place indoors."

After getting a few hums of agreement from the surrounding students and some confused faces, he kept speaking,

"Think about it: backroom deals, home invasions, secret underground lairs. The truly intelligent and often dangerous criminals stay hidden in the shadows.

For this training exercise, you will be split into teams of good guys and bad guys and fight in two-on-two indoor battles."

Tsuyu raised her hand and asked,

"Isn't this a little advanced?"

"Nonsense! The best training is what you get on the battlefield!

But remember, you aren't facing robotic opponents this time. They are human opponents, and you will have to adjust the force you use to match."

A flurry of questions came in soon after he finished talking,

"Sir, will you be the one deciding who wins?"

"How much can we hurt the other team?"

"Do we need to worry about the losers being expelled like with Aizawa-sensei?"

"How many chickens do you think it would take to kill a walrus?"

"Isn't my cape fabulous?"

"Will you be splitting us up based on chance or comparative skill?"

"Listen up!" All might roared before turning around to look at a script.

"The situation is like this; the villains have hidden a nuclear missile somewhere in their hideout. The heroes must try to foil their plans.

To do that, the good guys have to either capture the evildoers or recover the weapon within the ten-minute time limit.

Likewise, the bag guys succeed if they protect their payload or capture the heroes during the time limit."

"Banana-sensei!"

"Yes, young Izayoi?"

"Isn't this scenario from one of your failed movie scripts you tried to push three years ago?"

He completely ignored my valid question and moved on after a few awkward coughs,

"We'll choose teams by drawing lots!"

Iida raised his hand and asked a question once more,

"Isn't there a better way to decide?"

I decided to answer his question quickly before All Might's pea brain could think of one,

"Think about it, Iida. Pro's oftentimes have impromptu team-ups while patrolling without any preparation, like your brother Tensei's team up with the hero Manual last Thursday."

I knew that mentioning his brother would help him accept whatever weird answer I decided to concoct.

"I see; life is indeed a random series of events. Please excuse my rudeness!"

"No sweat, young Iida. Let's draw!"

I was too busy focusing on Eri, who in turn was focusing on a butterfly that landed on her sippy cup, to bother paying attention to the draws.

When all the lots were drawn and matchups were listed, the huggable Kirby spin-off came over to me,

"Come on, Saku-chan, let's kick their butts!"

Looking up at the screen, I saw the matchup.

[Team A (Villain): Sakuya + Mina vs Team B (Hero): Kirishima + Sato]

'This is gonna be fun.'

Creation is hard, cheer me up! Love the book? Review it!

I have no idea why this book has gotten 500k views, I hate reading it myself. Then again, I think that every author hates reading their own work so it works out in the end. Thanks for the support!

As always, any and all criticism is greatly appreciated.
