Chapter 28

Ramses,

Ramses smiled as he watched Akila run to her old house. The girl was eager to see her grandmother, and he felt ashamed of himself.

He should have thought about uniting them after the matter of choosing his new wife was settled.

But the king got busy with all these problems that arose in the palace and how his sister and some nobles acted.

Akila jumped excitedly and waited for him to reach her, then she pulled his arm as she entered the small old house.

She called the old woman's name, and he heard some faint frail footsteps answering her call.

"Is this you, my child? Is that my little Akila?"

The old woman walked slowly out of her room, and Akila threw herself at her.

The woman staggered but held the speaking girl to her chest and hugged her tightly to her chest.

"Mwt, I have missed you so much? How have you been? How are you doing? Tell me everything that had happened when I was away."
