Chapter 29

Akila,

The girl's state of mind soured. She has been ready to do it with her husband, but again it was Annipe who ruined her plans.

She wasn't stupid or living a lie. She knew well what will happen today, and she was blessed to be away. Despite that, she was angry about ruining that moment with her husband.

The screams of women and shouting men reached them and Heba ran to Akila as the king let her go and stormed outside.

"You won't believe what had happened, Akila. Father had told me he will send a few men with some rats, but this is huge. The entire palace is full of these pests and they ran, wreaking havoc everywhere."

Heba said giggling and Akila frowned. She wanted to cause some trouble, but this was bigger than she thought.

She walked toward the door, wanting to look outside and see if she can get some glimpse of the matter, but shrieked in fear and stumbled back when a group of rats stormed her way.
