Chapter 3

Until that day, the boundless stream of the world suddenly collapsed and everything that was still alive returned to where they were when they disappeared.

They still carried the terrifying power of that boundless stream of worlds, calling themselves Survivors. The world formed an organization dedicated to dealing with these people, and new laws were created because of this.

A new world has arrived.

A week after the earthquake, the world is still in the midst of adapting to enormous changes. Apocalypse theories and evolutionary theories are all over the internet, and there are even more than three debates on a single subject, with a wide variety of opinion polls appearing online, many of which cause quarrels and cause trouble.

Steve has no opinion regarding the end of the world or the evolution of the world.

He didn't feel too worried about it nor was he like other youths who were full of aspirations. The only thing that worried him a little was the earthquake. Due to the earthquake, the tour agency he worked for was temporarily closed and he had to wait at home until the company reopened.

The most important thing that employees are worried about is whether this holiday will be paid for or not.

Coming home with a lunch he bought from the convenience store, Steve reached into his pocket and fumbled for the key, then he heard the elevator door open.

Elevator? Steve is the only person living on this floor. Is the house next door sold?

Steve looked at the elevator, and a man got out of the elevator. He wore a black suit with exquisite gold-rimmed glasses, and a gentle smile continuously appeared on his face from the first time he appeared, his appearance not disappointing at all. Steve stopped when he was opening the door of his house, feeling a little surprised.

"Long time no see." The man greeted Steve with a smile, his voice still calm and refreshing like spring.

"It's been a long time no see, Mr. Milo." Steve looked at him, "Could it be that you are..."

"Yes, I am a survivor." Mr. Milo, also known as Milo Miles, sighed, "How lucky to come back and meet you. A month ago, this was something that couldn't even be thought of."

Steve nodded, "Congratulations."

Milo smiled and waved his hand at Steve, then opened the door to his room and stepped inside. Steve tilted his head and, after a while, he opened the door to his own apartment, then locked the door to his room. Steve threw the lunch in his hand on the table, then turned to the TV, which continued to broadcast the situation of the Survivors, mostly broadcasting moving images of the Survivors returning to their respective families.

The people who were broadcast on TV were hugging, crying and laughing together, their good-hearted feelings were highly contagious. Steve stared at the TV expressionlessly and unpacked his lunch box.

He thought things like this were far from him, but he never thought that his own neighbor was a survivor either.

Steve's neighbor, Milo Miles, was an elementary school teacher before his disappearance, was widely praised by students and parents for his gentle nature and extraordinary abilities, and was a local honorary teacher at a young age. Three years ago, Milo left after greeting Steve, and his last words were that he was going to visit his student's house, then disappeared after that.

The parents of the students who were waiting for regular visits from Milo did not have the opportunity to meet Milo, and the school also could not contact him at all. Milo simply disappeared without a trace and was classified as missing for almost three years.

Turns out he was summoned into that strange boundless world stream as well.

After taking a bite of his rice, Steve changed his TV channel to one where the host was discussing with a self-proclaimed expert on how to move the Survivors, and they twirled the topic back and forth before finally coming to a conclusion.

According to the current path and direction, the government is prepared to treat the Survivors the same as any other ordinary person, with the same human rights and the same criminal responsibility when they violate the law, and they believe that the government has the power to do this.

After finishing his lunch, Steve threw the box into the trash and glanced out the window. After the earthquake, the narrow weather subsided gradually. In just a few days, temperatures dropped to their normal fall temperatures, and the leaves on the trees began to fall overnight.

After pouring a glass of boiling water, Steve walked towards the balcony, followed by a slight halt in his steps. He saw Milo standing on the balcony next door.

"Mr Milo?" Said Steve.

"The view is really beautiful..." Milo sighed, staring into the distance with a gentle smile in his eyes, "I haven't seen a sight like this in a long time."

Steve took a sip of the water, "What's the place like?"

"Black, no sun, everything is false and cold light." Milo stretched out his arms to feel the sunlight. "People are dying everywhere. It feels good to have three people in a game survive."

"Sounds like a cruel place." Said Steve to Milo. Imagine what happened in that place.

Milo turned his head and looked at Steve. The sunlight on his body made him look like a charming god, "It's over, no more scary things will happen after this."

"What does Mr. Milo have in mind for the future now?" Asked Steve curiously.

"The school probably won't accept me anymore." Milo sighed helplessly, "Even if I used to be a good teacher, since I became a Survivor, it's normal that the school would feel worried if I went back to teaching. If I think about it, I won't let my children study under the Savior's teaching either."

Steve nodded his head, "Very reasonable."

"I'm going to open a flower shop." Milo slumped against his balcony railing.
