CHAPTER SIXTY-TWO: THE ENCHANTED DATE

Andor's point of view

With my mate snuggled up next to me, the world couldn't be better. Pulling Ashina's ponytail back, I rest my lips upon her neck, kissing where my mark will go. As I breathe her scent in, I get tingles that feel like electric waves in my heart, making me feel like life isn't worth living without her. Watching her sleep, knowing she is mine and only mine until we go back to the moon goddess, slowly I drift off to sleep with her scent enveloping my heart with its love.

Ashina's point of view –

I have such deep sleep in Andor's arms, he is like an electric blanket full of warmth of love. I roll over in bed, reaching for Andor to snuggle back into his warmth. Patting around the space is empty, and I slowly open my eyes, missing his warmth next to me. There is nothing but a space where Andor had once been.

Slowly rising from the bed, I threw my legs over the side. While yawning, I stretched my arms, getting the energy to make my way to the bathroom to do my business and take a shower. Upon standing I open the drapes, then the balcony doors. stepping out into the crisp evening air. I could hear Andor already training the warriors, guiding them through various war scenarios.

I knew Andor could feel my gaze on him, as he turned to me smiling and then a wink. I giggled like a schoolgirl who just got her first crush. I know I'm red from head-to-toe blushing as he stares back at me. Breaking our gaze, I go to the bathroom to shower and dress for the night. As I walk out to the training field, Andor tells me to go back and dress for a picnic. He's already started teaching the warriors how to train. As for the evening's training, he's let his captain finish it. Tonight, we had a date.

Excited, I ran upstairs. I had never been on a real date, and this was scary yet endearing. Each new moment with Andor breaks down the wall that I had guarded my heart against. This is why I need to get away from Andor as soon as I am able to. However, I will enjoy the time I have with him, until the day I need to sneak away. I would never take him from his kingdom, his pack, or his people.

I took my time putting on a pair of jeans, a soft white sweater, and some hiking boots. Andor walks into the bedroom, while I was putting my hair into a bun and touching up my makeup when Andor lifts me up into his arms snuggling me into his chest. Lifting my face and kissing me.

Andor –

I love how Ashina's face lit up on the balcony staring at me. I winked at my own little secret about our date tonight. Once we were dressed, we got into my jeep. I am so excited about taking her to my special place. I feel so nervous, what if she hates it?

I take the jeep as far as I can into the woods near the mountain with the cave behind the waterfall. While Ashina keeps asking me where we are going. I smiled and kissed just after we stopped the jeep, putting my finger to her lips. Smiling I got out of the vehicle and ran around to open the door on Ashina's side of the car. I try carrying her from the car, but she hits me making me let her go.

Laughing I grab her hand running towards the lake, I have always loved so much. When my father would be violent, I would come here to escape. This was my refuge that I dreamt of a magical kingdom where only nice people who loved one another would live. Now I have her by my side, my happily ever after.

Ashina –

I should have worn a bathing suit as we both had to strip our clothes off naked into the freezing waters. I was mesmerized once we were in the cave behind the waterfall that looked like a beaded veil protecting the jewels that lay hidden in the cave behind her. There were cooks grilling fresh steak on a grill.

Like a fancy restaurant, there was a cabana setup with a table and chairs and flowers. The natural gems on the walls lit up the cave like hundreds of fireflies in flight. There were red rose petals scattered everywhere. Tears slowly wet my cheeks, I felt the love he has for me, and it hurts my heart that I will have to leave him. I hope he will forgive me, but I am doing this because I love him. What, I just said to myself I love him. This can't be! It must be the ambience of this night.

Andor seeing me cry, thinks that I don't like the wonderful evening he has prepared for me. I turned around and jumped into his arms. "Thank you so much, no one has ever cared for me this way."

Andor –

My heart broke when Ashina tears fell like the waterfall curtain that shielded the cave.

"Why are you crying, do you hate it? We can go somewhere else if you like."

"No Andor, I love everything." I can't help but start crying again burying my face in his chest. He puts his head on mine kissing the top of my hair. Andor carries me to the table, sitting down putting me on his lap. I insist on sitting in my own chair, however he keeps a firm grip on my waist not letting me go.

When the food was served, Andor cut the steak with a bit of trouble as he was also holding me. He picked up each piece of steak feeding me, not even looking at his own plate. He just gazed at me as if I were the only person in the world and for some strange reason, he loved watching me eat.

He had some musicians playing music and we danced slowly, while he carried me in his arms my feet on top of his feet. I was so tired by the end of the fifth dance I fell asleep in Andor's' arms falling asleep.

I woke up the next afternoon, in my comfortable bed and Andor next to me.

Annoyingly someone came banging at our door, that Andor's cousin was back, and he was injured. Andor and I immediately jumped out of our bed. Fear ran up my spine, hoping that Andor's cousin was all right.
