Chapter 20 Calming Ashina's Wolf

Andor's point of view -

It was scary seeing Ashina's wolf hold up my ex's neck, feet hanging in the air. The breath of my ex was cut off by Ashina. I could see my ex-sputtering, begging for help. As I shrugged my shoulders, I let her know I wouldn't help.

I had mind-linked my beta and told him to come. After a vague reply, he showed up about 5 minutes later. He had his hair all mussed up and looked like he wasn't working but having recreation time during working hours. As he walked in, I glared at him.

"Alpha, one of the women Ashina saved is my mate," he replied sheepishly.

As I smiled through the mind-link, I laughed, "Congratulations, my friend."

"Alpha, what do you want? I hope you don't mind, but I would like to get back to my mate." I watch him glance sheepishly at me as we continue our mind-link.

In the meantime, I'm ignoring the fact that my mate is trying to kill my ex. To myself, I thought she deserves it.

I'm still getting messages from my beta via the mind link. Your mate seems to be trying to kill your ex." I can see his eye in curiosity looking at the situation laughing. As he pondered this, he realized,

Alpha? Do you want me to separate them? That might be dangerous right now. Why don't you hug your mate, wouldn't that be better?"

The look on my beta's face changed from one of concern to one of concern, and I knew he didn't want to risk his life stopping my mate from killing my ex-mate.

"I'll calm Ashina down while you grab my ex. Take her to the dungeon so we can interrogate her."

This is when I slowly walk over and hug my mate from behind, laying my nose into her neck. As I sniffed where my mark would go, I could feel my mate's heart rate drop, and her neck shiver under my breath.

With a thud, she drops my ex and turns to me, getting close to my neck and smelling me. As Ashina's wolf slowly gave control back to her, I heard a growl, and she punched me in the face. As I roll my eyes, I smile. It would be nice if Ashina was as submissive as her wolf.

I thought to myself, Ashina's constant rejection always hurts my heart so much. I feel like my heart is being torn out of my chest by a spoon. Looking in the mirror at the scar on my face, I can't blame her. I mean, who could look at my face and love me?

Getting out of my mood, I stare sternly at Ashina. I told her my ex was in the dungeon and one of the omegas would take her there.

"You want to interrogate her, don't you?" She looks at me oddly. She probably thought I was going to flirt with her. Nevertheless, I'm not a glutton for punishment. Due to the mind-link I'd sent the omega, one of my omegas came. Ashina followed the Omega out the door.

It was easy to down the whole bottle of vodka once I opened it. Werewolves need lots of alcohol to feel anything. My chest hurts so bad I might drink a case of vodka tonight to soothe it.

There was an angry woman seething in the dungeon as she was chained with silver chains laced in wolf's bane. She was surrounded by silver bars, and the warrior had special gloves for spraying wolf's bane on them.

Even though these dungeons were ancient, they had been renovated. In addition to a toilet and sink, each cell had a cot. People used to pee themselves in the cells, with urine running into a drain. For wolves, this was modernization. Aside from the sink, toilet, and bed. A table and two chairs are there. Everything is bolted down, so it can't be used as a weapon.

When Ashina takes a break, her eyes are filled with disgust. "It makes me want to puke when I see you."

"I'm no angel, I didn't care about those women." She grimaces. "The majority of them were too stupid to get caught by those ignorant rogues. It was me who taught the rogues how to use a knockout drug to steal the women."

The woman coughs, "I fought the rogues when they tried to kidnap me. After ten of them were against me, I bowed down and helped them kidnap the women they needed." She shrugs. "My life is everything to me."

Ashina then asks, not really sure why, "What is the Alpha to you?"

Laughing, the woman says, "Are you jealous?" "That's hilarious. It was me who was his mate, what's your relationship with him?"

Upon opening the cell door, Ashina punched the woman. "It's none of your business." "But I'm the worst nightmare you've ever had."

Ashina takes out some brass knuckles and continues to punch her. "Here's revenge for the women who were kidnapped and now sold. Here's revenge for the women in intensive care." "And here's the revenge for kissing the Alpha." Ashina still didn't understand why she cared.

Upon calming down, Ashina stops punching the woman. "You are not my prisoner, but you are the kings. He can decide how to punish you." Ashina then spits on the woman and leaves out the door and up to her room.

Andor was sitting in his office drinking himself into a coma. His mate hated him, while everyone else was in love with their mates. As a result, he kept drinking, fueling his depression.

Ashina showers, changes clothes and heads to Alpha's office to let him know the prisoner is now his.

Upon entering the Alpha's office, the Alpha, who was drunk, looked up at her. As if he was straining to see her, he stared at her with confusion in his eyes.

As if he was talking to an imaginary friend, "You see that woman, she hates me." There's no way she can see me as a handsome alpha. At the moment, I know she's just an illusion. She's too beautiful for me." At this point, the Alpha passes out on the desk with his head banging down on it.
