Chapter - 40 [ Practical Test ]

In a large open ground, there was a large number of students waiting for their practical test to begin.

Practical tests were divided into two compulsory and one optional. Two of the compulsory tests were used to find the attributes of the students. Although they already knew after their awakening, the academy needed the info for their future lectures.

The second compulsory test is to test their fighting power, whether they are Knight or Magister. Although Magister is a single type class, Knight has the option of using swords and other weapons to fight.

The third optional test was to show their fighting power other than magic and weapons. For example, Hand-to-Hand combat, A rare occupation which is done by using enchanted artifacts, and finally spiritualism.

The three tests had three different lands allotted. As they were waiting, Adam saw a tired looking Raiser and Rubelia entering the ground. Though he and the girls already knew what happened, they still acted like they knew nothing.

When she saw Adam, Rubelia smiled weakly before walking towards him. Seeing her walk towards him, Adam could only smile wryly internally.

"Are you okay Rubelia..? His words made the other students buzz.

"Did he just call the princess by her name..?"

"Shouldn't he be respectful to her..?"

"I wish I could do it..!"

"Are you wishing to die..!?"

Different murmurings were heard. Even though they heard it, neither Adam or Rubelia minded them. Even Raiser was acting normally. He quickly patted Adam's shoulder before saying, "You are a famous Man..!" Hearing the sarcastic words, Adam raised his brows on his closeness.

"Yes Prince Raiser. I am unfortunately.... Do you want to be a part of it and ease my burden..?"

Raiser felt like his anger was reaching his limits when he heard his words. Then smiling he said, "You don't have to use honorifics when calling me Adam. And no. I am not interested."

Adam smiled before saying, "I see. It's a pity that I have to suffer this alone. Anyway thank you for saying something, Raiser."

Seeing their prince and princess talking to someone, the kids were surprised. They never thought a royalty would allow someone to talk to them without any respect.

Raiser nodded his head in satisfaction. Then,

"Silence..!" A voice loud enough to break their eardrums echoed through the ground. Turning towards the owner, they saw an old man with white long beard and bald head as well as green eyes. There were rings on all his fingers.

"Now that the practical test is about to begin, everyone should stay silent..! Your class of division would be selected after seeing your performance. Now get to the site when your name is called...!"

Everyone stood there silently. Then,

"Alvis de lan..!" Hearing the name randomly, a boy with orange spiky hair and dark yellow eyes suddenly said 'yes..!' before walking towards the Site 1 which is used to test the attributes.

Upon reaching his destination, "Place your hand on this crystal ball. It's an artifact. So make sure you do not try anything strange."

Hearing the old man, the boy named Alvis suddenly placed his hands on the crystal. But before he can pass his magic through it, it shone with a brown light.

"You have Ground Element. Talent medium - level. Go and wait at Site -2."

Hearing this, the boy named Alvis went towards site - 2. Adam was however shocked. This means he can't hide his all attribute talent. He was wondering what to do, so he asked Maya as well. However her words surprised him.

« You should show them what you can do Adam. Now that you have a plan to escape or even defeat anything on this planet, you don't necessarily need to hide your strength »

But he still decided to accept her thinking. After 18 years of life, he now trusted Maya. His thoughts were stopped when he heard the old man called,

"Rubelia jon Grania..!"

Rubelia smiled at Adam before going to the testing site. Placing her hand on it, the crystal shone with a green light with high luminosity before changing it to low intensity blue light.

"Wind element attribute, high - level talent. Water element attribute, medium - level talent. Good..!"

Then turning towards Adam, she smiled triumphantly. He smiled wryly at her childishness. Next, Raiser was called.

"Raiser Jon Grania..!"

Upon his test, the crystal was lighted by a bright red and it changed to Brown and then black.

"Fire Element - high - level Talent. Ground Element - medium - level Talent. Dark Element - low - level talent. Very good! A talented young man...!"

Although it is said that only demons are capable of using dark magic, there were some humans in the past and present, capable of using it. It was just rare. So even when they were all shocked to see someone with the dark element, no one said anything.

Then the old man called, "Amanda Von Malevier..!"

Amy smiled before turning towards Adam. He patted her head before saying, "Good Luck..!" His words are like a drug as he could see a fire of determination blazing inside her eyes.

Placing her hand on the crystal, it began lighting Green and Gold light simultaneously before changing to brown.

"Wind Element - high - level talent. Light Element - high - level talent. Ground Element - medium - level talent. Another genius..!"

This time even Adam was shocked. On her first awakening she only had two attributes. Now however she awakened another element...!

However as he was wondering about it, Cel said with telepathy,

'I think it's thanks to her for absorbing the spiritual energy and training together with me all this time.'

He also had that as an answer. He couldn't think of anything else.

As he was thinking about it seriously, he saw that Ellie and Xe's is already done with their tests. Ellie seems to have the wind element and light element like in the past. As for Xe's, she had the light element as well as the fire element. They both were called geniuses by the old man. Now he was wondering what he will be called when it is his time.

"Adam Aves Aldians..!"

Hearing his name being called, Adam sighed before taking a long breath before letting it out. Then he went towards the crystal. He could sense several eyes on him. One of them was the weird woman who was in his examination room. Ignoring her again he placed his hands on the crystal.

He was worried about his other affinities like space and time. However Maya said, it can't sense such an element since no one in this world knows about it.

As he placed his hand on it, something totally unexpected happened. His whole body was repelled by the crystal. Even the old man was shocked to see such a scene. However as everyone was wondering what happened, they all watched in horror as the crystal began to float in the air and vibrate.

Then shocking everyone present, a pure white light was shot out from the crystal to the sky at a speed unable to follow by any normal eyes. Then following it, the crystal began to produce white flame which covered the whole crystal. It changed its color to Red. There was a large red fire blazing the crystal. Then it changed into something liquid before the red became blue.

Those who watched it could only say that, the fire suddenly became water. They couldn't close their mouths as the blue suddenly became a solid brown object swallowing the crystal. Changing again it became transparent force with a green colored sheen as everyone felt if they do not hold onto something, they will also fly away.

Its color changed to glistening black particles before changing again to a blinding golden light. Then the crystal shone like a rainbow before all the auras that were outside the crystal flew towards Adam and were absorbed by him.

All who watched could only say one thing in unison.

"SUCH A MONSTER..!!!"
