The Calm Before The Storm- A Courageous Knight

"W, what did you say?" the Emperor asked. Despite hearing his words the first time, his ears still couldn't believe what he heard. Maybe old age had gotten the best of him and he had begun hearing things.

"I have someone I'm fawning over" he said more clearly, his eyes meeting Kenzos' as he looked up from his plate. Naomi dropped her cutlery subconsciously, already aware of the news but still finding it hard to believe. She quickly pushed back her chair, mumbling an excuse as she ran out of the hall before the tears could run down her cheeks. A moment of silence hung in the air as the doors shut.

"Is that true?" the emperor asked, feeling a bit saddened as he felt bad for his daughter's unrequited love. At the same time, it was great news to hear that someone had melted the frozen heart of his old friend's son.

"That's good news. When are we going to meet the lucky lady? I'm quite curious. Who is she?" he parroted
