Chapter 21 - Sammy's Goodbye

(I don't know what went through my mind when I was making this book, lol. It turned out amazing.)

Sky's POV

It has now been a couple of days since I have been beautifully transformed into a vampire by Myra. The house has been feeling kind of strange recently, and that was because of Sammy not being around as much. But then, it was during dinner time where she showed up. I was feeding from a blood bag when she appeared.

"What's wrong with you?" Myra first asked her, getting right in front of her face. "You haven't been paying much attention to us, especially Sky."

I then noticed how...unwell Sammy looked. Her skin was more grey than pale and her eyes looked slightly grey too. I placed my blood bag down before I went in between them. I turned my head to look at Myra, giving her a look which was telling her to back off. For some weird reason, I haven't been actually feeling Sammy at all.

"I got something I need to both tell you." Sammy then told us in a sad tone which made my stomach go all weird. "Go on." Myra ordered her. "HEY! She's our mate!" I then shouted at her.

"I...I haven't got much time left to live anymore."

My eyes then widened. She had a tiny bit of cancer, didn't she? Um...

"That's not fucking funny. Has your cancer come back?" Myra asked her before she moved me out of the way. She placed her hand on Sammy's cheek, until she suddenly gasped a bit when she saw her eyes. "Shit...you are dying...is your doctor still working?" she asked her before she shook her head as a no.

"He has retired. Besides, he can't help a vampire so I got no choice but to sleep in a coffin for now."

"No! You can't fucking go! I love you!" Myra then told her before her voice broke a bit as tears started to fall down her cheeks. The tears were blood...

"You got Sky. And you got me. My ghost will be here." She told her crying mate before she leaned down to kiss her on the head. "It won't be the same without you though..."

"I know. I will be in the graveyard when it's time to sleep."

I then finally heard enough as my body collapsed due to our mate bond breaking apart...
