Sky's POV
I woke up, to only realise that it wasn't a dream. It was real. Sammy was actually gone and there was nothing we could possibly do to bring her back. I looked over to see that Myra was wiping away her tears with the back of her hand, and of course they were still blood. I guess she is reacting very differently compared to me. I just felt completely lost. We didn't want to wear anything in bed, so we were in the nude.
"Do you want me to run you a bath?" I offered her, sitting up on the bed. I watched Myra slowly nod at me as a yes. I then let out a sigh as I got off the bed slowly, then walked over to the bathroom. This was sort of a good time to check my neck to see if Sammy's bite mark had vanished and it did. I frowned at my reflection before I turned my head to pay my attention to running a bath for my sad, poor mate. I really do hope...no. That's too fucking harsh to say.
I heard Myra let out a small high pitched cry, which made me rush back into the bedroom to comfort her the best that I can. I wrapped my arms around her curled up body, pressing small kisses on her cold cheek. "I know...I know..." I told her gently as she let out heart-wrenching cries. "I don't know what the fuck is happening to me, beautiful! S...S..." she began to say to me before she sat up to finish what she was saying. "Sammy's gone. My first mate is gone over some stupid cancer. I didn't even know that cancer can come back when she was already fucking immune to every sickness!"
"I didn't know either. Well, it's obvious because I didn't know the supernatural existed." I told her simply before I pulled away from Myra to sort out the bath. I was lucky that the water wasn't overflowing yet. "There has to be a witch nearby." I then heard Myra say, which made me widen my eyes a little. A witch?
"Yes, beautiful. A witch. Maybe they could help us recover Sammy." Myra then said to me, her voice getting a little louder as she walked into the bathroom.
"Are witches bad?" I asked her as I picked up the liquid soap and poured it into the water only a tiny bit. "I actually don't know. We will have to find one, don't we?" she asked me back before I turned to stare at her. She had a rather worrying look on her face. A large smile and beaming red eyes.
I then watched her get into the tub. "Get in then, beautiful. We need to get cleaned up and search for this witch...-"
"No. It's too late, Myra. Look." I told her before I exposed the side of my neck for her to see that the bite mark from Sammy was gone. This made her shake her head in denial. "Let me see your neck, then." I then ordered her in a tone that I would never use against my mate.
I watched her move her hair away from her neck, only to reveal that the bite mark was gone too. "It's too late to bring her back now."
"No..." she began to protest before I cut her off, "Yes. It is too late to bring Sammy back now. She had only been gone for about a couple of hours and this happened to us. She's forever gone. You have to accept it."
Then there was just pure silence flowing around the air as I got into the bath with Myra. "Look, I am sorry for having to say that, okay?" I apologised to her before she nodded. "You are right. I do have to accept it but it will take some time." she told me. I nodded slowly before I looked down at the bubbles, feeling guilty.
