chapter 26

"Izu! Wake up! We have to go to school!" Toga's cries of excitement made Izuku jump from bed, only to look at the clock and stop, 6:55 am, School only starts at 8:30 though... And we are literally 15 minutes on foot from it.

Exiting his room, Izuku looked at the jumping Toga, as she was going all around the place, searching for stuff to put in her bag, "Why the hurry? We have time." Izuku sighed, not really in the mentality to get to school on time.

"It's the first day Izu!" She says as she puts something in her bag. Izuku goes to her bag, as she leaves it on the table to search for more stuff, "And we don't want to arrive late!" She continues, putting both hands on her face, she fully turns to Izuku, "I can't wait to meet our new friends!"

Izuku put a hand inside her bag, feeling something he was certain that it was bound to be in her bag, he smiles, "And a knife is definitely the tool you want to bring to school?" Izuku asks as he takes the sharp thing out of her bag.

"What!?" Toga exasperates a gasp, "You never know what will happen on the way."

"Toga... Your excitement levels are too high."

As if a epiphany hit her, she perks up, straightening her whole body, "I have to wake up Chako!" And she dashes out of the room, and down the stairs to Ochako's room.

I guess breakfast is something we need... Did Toga drink her blood yet? As Izuku's thoughts took over his mind, he prepared his breakfast, already guessing that Toga didn't have her breakfast, preparing her's and Ochako's too.

After eating his breakfast, and enjoying the rage of Ochako, as she was abruptly awoken by Toga, he gets up and prepares his school bag, dressing up in his uniform and write a note for Dabi, with instructions on what to do without them in the cafe.

"I'm locking my door before sleep from now on..." Ochako grumbles as she drags herself to the bathroom, already finished with her breakfast.

"Izu, I already finished everything for the kitchen downstairs." Toga says, as she finally sits down on the sofa, already finished for school.

"You didn't need to, though. Twice will make clones of us both for the kitchen..." Izuku states.

"Yeah, but it's MY kitchen. I need to do something, it kinda became routine." Izuku lets out a laugh, as his anxiety levels start to rise, as he remembers that school is about to begin. Toga noticing, gets up, wrapping an arm around Izuku's neck, "AND everything will be alright. Aizawa will be there, Nem too, Cockatoo will also be there, Kitkat as unreliable as he is will also be there, and me and Ochako too."

Izuku shrugs, not really sure how to respond to her, when words finally come to his mouth, Ochako comes out of the bathroom, already on her uniform, and prepared to go, "Shall we go?" She asks, completely oblivious of what happened moments before.

----------------

The three arrive at the gate, only to notice a spiky blonde boy waiting for them at the entrance, "You guys are slow." It was 7:55 am, 35 minutes before class, "You guys made me wait for 20 minutes!"

"For someone who goes to bed at 20:30 sharp, we sure did take our time, Kitkat." Toga mocks, making Bakugo tremble in anger, as the other students look at the event.

"I can't wait for the entrance ceremony and the orientation! I heard that in U.A. is quite the show." Ochako smiles as she thinks of the potential show she will witness.

Aizawa is your teacher though... Izuku thinks as he looks at her with pity in his eyes.

The four head inside, the big corridors made them loose quite a lot of time, the place was an authentic maze, thankfully they got to their class on time.

Stopping at the door to 1-A, Izuku looks at the two that are about to go inside, "Our class is that way, so see you all later." Izuku says as the two nod.

On the way to class, they pass by a tired Aizawa, mumbling profanities, and grumbling about quitting his job.

Toga not resisting, pokes him, with a stick that she pulled out of her bag, "You dead?"

"Kid." Aizawa says, earning the attention of the green haired boy, "Already talked with Midnight, if you didn't know she is your homeroom teacher, you two are coming with me."

"If you are saying that we are to help you doing your job that's a no. We are here to be students not teacher's assistants." Izuku bluntly states.

"Nezu gave the word, something about wanting a report on their quirks done by you, that's what you get from being his personal student."

"Don't remember agreeing with that."

"Me neither, but he said you did, and he his my boss, so I have to take his word over yours."

"Then why me?" Toga asks, as she points at herself.

"I don't trust in you to be alone." Aizawa bluntly states, making the girl gasp dramatically.

"Aizawa! I thought you trusted me! We were the best of the best friends! I can--"

"I will stop you there. I don't like being late. Let's go." He says, as he starts wiggling around on the floor, successfully dragging himself closer to his destination.

"No fun." Toga pouts, as Izuku just lets himself be dragged and commanded by Nezu. Guess I will not see the orientation, nor the entrance ceremony.

--------

Seeing the door open, Aizawa eyes every student in class, some watching in silence as other talk, some trading phone numbers, he opened his mouth, "Go somewhere else if you want to play at being friends." Izuku watched as everyone stopped to look at the lying man. "This is the hero course." He says before taking a sip out of his breakfast.

Getting up, Aizawa heads to the front of the class, "Okay, it took 5 seconds before you were quiet." he states, already out of his sleeping bag, "Time is li--"

"AHHHHHHHHH! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?" It was Bakugo, not really believing that his teacher was the homeless looking dude, that was always in the corner of the cafe.

"Yes, Bakugo, that's one strike, two more and you are out of the class." Aizawa glares at the boy with his quirk, making the boy quieten down and listen up. "Time is limited. You kids are not rational enough."

Toga pokes Izuku and points at Ochako, "I guess Chako was already expecting it." She says, a smug on her face. Izuku smiles, "Shinso is just silent, but his face tells that he was not expecting that."

"I'm your homeroom teacher, Aizawa Shota." Aizawa finally eyes everyone else in the class, some faces he was already used to see looking back at him, "Nice to meet you."

Aizawa then proceeds to take out gym uniforms out of his sleeping bag and placing them on top of his desk, Not very hygienic... "This is sudden, but dress up and go out onto the field."

Pointing to his back, "This two are assistants for today, Nezu's orders." Izuku flinched as he straightened himself up, and Toga waved at the class. "Don't mind them too much."

------------------

Izuku joins the boys of the class, and Toga the girl's, both dressing up and heading out with the class.

"They are slow." Toga commented to Izuku, only for him to nod, "Aizawa is strict on this things." The boy adds.

"Izuku, you didn't tell you were going to be an assistant." Ochako comments, earning the attention of some of her classmates.

Izuku scratches his cheek, "I also didn't know... Aizawa just pushed me here."

The brunette looking at the blonde added, "Toga too?"

"He is so cruel, Chako~. He said he didn't trust me!" Toga wines, as she lets herself fall onto the smaller girl.

An explosion was heard, as someone was propelled in Izuku's direction, "Why didn't you tell me, nerd!"

"Kacchan, you shouldn't use your quirk out of class." Izuku says, bluntly, "And you never asked, you will see that you interacted with more heroes than you thought."

Bakugo's eyes widened, "Who?" He asks dumbfounded, Izuku only chuckles at him.

Getting to the camp, Izuku and Toga stop besides the teacher, Izuku with his notebook in hand.

"Today we'll do a quirk assessment test." Aizawa starts, making the class astonished. "If you're going to be a hero, you don't have time for leisure. U.A.'s selling point is how unrestricted its school traditions are. That's also how the teacher run their classes."

Well, this is a thing that only Aizawa does though... Izuku thought as he continues to explain what will happen in the test.

"Toga." He calls, earning the attention of the girl, "What was your best result for the softball throw?"

"Don't know!" She excitedly answers.

His mouth went agape for a moment, "Anyway, try doing it but using your quirk." He continues.

"You want me to use my quirk?" Toga stops, looks at Izuku, "Is Aizawa okay?", her voice showed a mocking tone, but her eyes showed worry. Izuku shrugs, understanding what he was doing, but not saying a thing to Toga

What Aizawa was doing was, making the class realize that even if a quirk is villainous, a student is still a student, and was not different from all the others, by making her showcase her quirk, that involves blood of another person, while being watched by a teacher, and given a position of semi-authority, fully displaying her capabilities.

Toga looks at the class, "I need a volunteer! Anyone can rise their hand!" She says.

Bakugo rised his hand, Izuku smiled as he probably noticed what was happening too, Ochako also rose her hand, but Toga had already decided to go with the person that first rose his hand.

"You know the drill, Kitkat." Toga stated, Bakugo clicking his tongue, rose his arm, and Toga without hesitation used her fangs to draw a small amount of blood, drinking it on the spot.

The class looked in surprise, as they saw the girl bite the explosive blonde, but since Aizawa was not doing a thing, they didn't either.

A second later, Toga headed to the circle, and turned into Bakugo, "As you can see, her quirk needs the ingestion of blood to work, saying that, even if its something that resembles a villain's, the quirk does not define a person." Aizawa comments.

Toga had a smile on her lips, that only looked like a smirk on Bakugo's face, and then she threw the ball with all her might, "68 meters." Aizawa states.

Izuku was aware that she can use other people's quirks, while transformed in them, but she chooses not to use them.

"You can use anything, as long as you stay inside the circle, so give your all." Aizawa states as he eyes the class.

"What's this? it looks fun!"

"We can use our quirks as much as we want! As expected from the hero course!"

"'I looks fun'." Izuku repeated, a tone much darker than the ones who know him are used to, "That might be true, it 'looks' fun. Speaking by statistics, heroism is the profession with more deaths in our society, most of the heroes that start in the industry don't survive 5 years, that is because most tricks are learnt by the villains, that means, in this three years, you guys will have to train more than everyone, adapt and overcome walls that many struggle with, that is being a hero course student from U.A.."

"Well said, let's do this. Last place in all 8 tests will be judged to have no potential, and will be punished with expulsion." Aizawa adds.

As the class anxiety levels rise, questions of all kind start appearing.

"We're free to do what we want about the circumstances of our students. Be welcomed to U.A.'s hero course." Aizawa finishes.

I hope he doesn't expel everyone again...
