Chapter Four:- A Voice In My Head (Part II)

A battle erupted between him and approximately twenty minotaurs. Relying solely on his strength and combat skills, he began dispatching the minotaurs with devastating punches and incredible speed, annihilating all of them within a minute. However, he quickly sensed a formidable aura emanating from deep within the woods.

"This presence, the aura is something different entirely. it gives me chills"

The aura emanated from the minotaur leader, a figure with a well-built body and equipped with a large spiked hammer. He approached Moses with a menacing glare, enraged by the massacre of his kin.

"YOU KILLED MY COMRADES, YOU SHALL PAY!"

"Sure " he shrugs

"DON'T GET COCKY YOU LITTLE RAT"

Asterion, the Minotaur leader, launched an attack on Moses with his spiked hammer but missed the mark. Moses, reacting swiftly, dodged in time as the hammer's impact created a massive crater in the ground. He was taken aback by the surprising speed with which Asterion wielded the hammer, despite his immense size.

"whoa, he's quite fast for his size"

*Considering his speed and strength, I shouldn't let my guard down for a sec, a strike from him would deal a fatal blow*

After evading the Minotaur's deadly strikes numerous times, he found an opportunity and delivered an uppercut to Asterion with his bare hand. However, the blow inflicted minimal damage, prompting Asterion to grin menacingly.

"FOOL, PHYSICAL ASSAULTS CAN'T TAKE ME DOWN, HAHHAHA. NOW IT'S TIME TO STOP PLAYING AROUND AND END THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL"

A surge of magical energies enveloped his body, causing his muscles to swell significantly and his size to increase even further. M.E.R.L.I.N promptly alerted Moses to the heightened danger Asterion now presented.

[Warning❗Warning ❗ Asterion reinforced his body with buff magic and he's much more dangerous than before, His physical stats are now 2x amplified]

[Should I activate limit breaker, emepror?]

*yes*

limit breaker means surpassing an established boundaries, often resulting to a dramatic increase in power, skill or capabilities. Moses suddenly felt a rush of energy within him, making him feel stronger than before, apparently he was fighting not at full power.

"IT IS AN HONOUR TO DIE AT MY HANDS"

Both of them charged with astounding speed, colliding with such force that it generated shockwaves, obliterating the nearby area. As the battle progressed, Moses began to dominate, relentlessly pummeling Asterion with punches and kicks. Although Asterion managed to block some of the strikes, it was insufficient to stem the onslaught. Ultimately, Moses delivered a swift, powerful roundhouse kick to Asterion's head, destroyed one his horns, knocking him to the ground.

"YO...WH...WHO ARE YOU?"

"I don't know how to answer that question yet"

"IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO YOU ARE BUT AM NOT LOSING TO A RAT!"

"Hey, you've said that before" He frowns

Asterion bleeds from the damage he took from the previous assault, struggled to stand up to show his final trump desperate to win at all cost.

"YOU'RE A DEAD MEAT BASTARD..." BY THE POWER OF FIRE AND LIGHT, ARROW, BLAZE WITH BURNING MIGHT!" He chants with a powerful voice

He summoned twenty long flame arrows through his magic, launching them at Moses simultaneously to prevent any chance of escape. The attack resulted in a massive explosion. However, Moses, with his incredible speed, appeared directly in front of him and executed a one-inch punch to his chest, causing his heart to burst from within, killing him instantly.

"that was a close one, thanks to my limited special skill , time dilation, I would have been dead if I was one second late"

a brief flashback was shown how he slowed down time for a sec to evade the dangerous assaults before he deliver a fatal blow to his enemy

[New skills acquired. Analysis suggests enhanced proficiency in Fire & lightning manipulation now available for utilization]

*Minotaur Slayer?! come to think of it I owned One title before... M.E.R.L.I.N what effect does this title have?*

Moses was undoubtedly contemplating something dubious, his mind a maze of unpredictability. He resolved to test his fire magic, or so he believed. Selecting a massive rock as his target, he was astounded to obliterate it with a single shot, without uttering a spell. Remarkably, he remained unfazed, given all he had endured in the past.

"A chantless magic Spell, that's beyond even me"

[Incorrect Emperor 🚫, you don't need a magic spell, mana or a chant to create fire, Through intense concentration, you can generate flames, shape them into constructs, and manipulate heat with your own inner energy]

[This ability is called PYROKINESIS]

He became momentarily flustered, unsure of how to respond to the unexpected revelation from the intelligent life form.

"W...wa...wait a second?!, you mean am not using any magic spell to create fire but it is done with my own strength?"

[That's correct]

*Sigh, I guess I have no other choice but to learn how to control it to the fullest to avoid this in the nearest future*

*if I remember correctly, I still have one other element I haven't tried yet*

Moses abruptly extended his hands towards the heavens, causing an unexpected shift in the weather as he summoned lightning to strike a precise location in the forest. Observing this from a distance, the villagers, including his close friend Kelvin, perceived it as a divine revelation from the gods. Moses' face, however, was etched with worry.

" I should be careful of who I would use this on. Alright then, it's time to head-back. "

Moses Ashford, having found the answers he sought, was returning home when he coincidentally encountered his close friend Kelvin. Overjoyed to see Moses, Kelvin eagerly inquired about how he had managed to take down the wild boar. Moses did not hesitate to recount the events of that fateful day to his friend.

"I stabbed the eye multiple eyes until it died, that's how I managed to take it down"

"That's incredible moses, for you to be able to take down a big sized pig, you must've blessed by Divine beings. did you see the weather change and lightning strikes in the dark forest? I believe it must have been a signs from the divine beings"

"umm...no" he smiles nervously

kelvin was the only best Friend of moses in the village, due to how well they've gotten along with each other from their childhood days. kelvin is a passionate nature enthusiast who finds solace in the great outdoors. Whether hiking through lush forests, camping under the stars, or simply enjoying the serene beauty of a quiet lake, he feels a deep connection with the natural world. His love for nature drives him to advocate for environmental conservation and inspires those around him to appreciate and protect the environment. sometimes he could be overbearing though.

"Really? it was the most beautiful thing have seen today, it is a dramatic dance of light, a fleeting, brilliant flash that illuminates the sky and captures the raw power and beauty of a thunderstorm"

"Kelvin, your love for nature is something else, then again, am not surprised knowing that is you"

Kelvin suddenly remember something, a message from the village chief he was supposed to deliver to his friend

"ohh, lest I forget, I was told to deliver this letter to you, instructions from the chief says you should ask for your parent consent"

He handed over the letter with a bronze seal on it to moses. Moses wonders what the letter is all about and what it contains.

"o...okay, what's the letter all about, do you know anything about it?"

"No moses, I couldn't open the bronze seal on it because the letter is only meant for you, strictly the instructions from the chief. when you're done reading it, you could explain what it contains later"

"Alright, see you later "

"Bye"

Both bid each other farewell and parted ways. Upon reaching home, Moses retired to his bedroom to rest. Driven by curiosity, he removed the bronze seal from the letter. To his astonishment, a golden light enveloped the letter, causing it to float. An unidentified masculine voice emanated from it. Moses was taken aback by this talking letter, an extraordinary phenomenon he had neither seen nor heard of before.
