Chapter 44: A score to settle

"I suggest we start with this guy." One of them pointed at Enoch. "He pisses me off you know." Philip waved his hand.

"Do whatever you want with them. Besides, No one is man enough to stand up to me since they all know who I am. Not even the security of this place." I clicked my tongue in annoyance.

I remembered when Enoch told me about Philip and his family being influential but I still don't give a damn about it. Everyone that was around here left probably after seeing him.

"So have you made your decision?" My mind was still scattered. I need to save them and Gale... But...

"Time's up!" Philip turned to his boys who got the information. I reacted quickly as I wanted to stop them but was intercepted by Philip. He held me in a submitting state with my arm bent behind my back. He smiled maniacally as he sat on me.

"Look who's on the floor now." He taunted. His fellow boys snickered before moving towards them.

"Don't!" I yelled kicking Philip off me and dashing to where they were. Before one could ambush them, I knocked him aside quickly.

One tried to grab me but I dodged before using my knee to hit him in the gut.

"Die you scum!" I heard one shout. He was behind me. Before I could react, a leg connected to his head. He staggered back trying to understand what happened.

I know what happened.

"Damn freaking Lucian! You could have just asked for help. Don't tell me you plan on fighting these bastards by yourself!" Ash stood behind me facing the rest.

"Glad to know you have my back. Thanks." I smirked a little.

"Yeah, don't get comfortable too much. I don't have as much stamina as you do." She huffed maintaining a stance.

"We'll help in any way we can. Right guys?" Enoch asserted.

"Yeah." Elvis nodded. We stopped short when we heard Philip chuckle darkly. He shook his head before facing us.

"You guys are friends all right. Just as idiotic as those two." He glared at me and the unconscious Jeffrey.

"This is bad! This is bad! What are you guys thinking? We are outnumbered. To top it all off, they are not weak-looking." Mark began fawning. "They'll just keep getting back up..."

"Shut up you idiot! I don't know what's going on but I can tell that if we don't do anything we are going to get our asses kicked. Now stop whining and defend yourself!" Ash fumed angrily as we all tried to avoid making her more mad by ignoring the two.

Swiftly, I was able to take two down simultaneously while Ash handled one at a time as we protected the others and protected ourselves.

The others tried their best to avoid getting hurt but I couldn't help but wonder why Philip didn't attack.

One fist was coming towards me but I side-steped it and paid it back with an uppercut. I checked on the others who were doing just fine.

" I can't just sleep in peace can I?" Logan frowned quirking an eyebrow at the scene. One person snuck up to him from behind but Logan flawlessly dodged and punched him square in the face knocking him out instantly.

"Violence isn't usually my thing. Just don't stir me up from my nap." He yawned dozing off again. He seriously didn't take in what was happening right now.

"Wow! Another one. So full of surprises." Philip finally said as his friends retreated to his side. Ash was struggling to not fall before Shelia came to her assistance.

"I had fun toying with you. Unfortunately, I must go. My Gale awaits me. " Philip sneered. My stomach twisted as I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Give her back!" Philip stopped in his tracks veering to meet my burning gaze.

"Meet me at you know where at 5 pm." He said before disappearing. We heard someone getting on bikes before zooming off.

Gritted teeth, heavy breathing. These are signs of my rage. I avoided everyone's gaze before it clicked. I needed to release my rage on something.

"Dude! Calm down. Look at what you did!" Enoch pulled me aside gently. That's when I realized that I broke the table. The rest looked on feeling bummed about what happened. It was my fault her fault got taken away.

"It's not your fault if that's what you are thinking." Enoch sighed. "We'll get her back.". He reassured.

"Yeah, I still need to settle some things with him," I started facing him.

I felt someone tug my arm and it was Elvis. He looked tired from my observation. His eyes drooped and his breathing seemed ragged. I checked to see all the scratches he endured while trying to protect himself and the rest.

"We'll come with." Wait we?

"You guys shouldn't. It'll be too dangerous for you. I'll go... Alone." They all stiffened at my statement.

"Where are you off to exactly green jerk?" My eyes veered to his as he winced. "That hurt. Disfigured face did a number on me."

Disfigured face? He was talking about Philip. Before he could say anything else, Jin pounced on him with everyone surrounding him.

"You are awake."

"Thank God."

"We were so worried,"

"Jeffrey! What happened to your head? Wasn't it bleeding?" Anastasia looked closely. His head has indeed stopped bleeding. Stunned faces stared at him as he gazed back confused. He furrowed his eyebrows at us.

"What did I miss? Why are you all looking like you just fought?" He inquired,

"Because we did idiot. How were you able to recover so quickly? " Ash scoffed. Jeffrey had a puzzled expression since he had no answer.

"We have to go and save Gale. There isn't much time." Sheila announced calling us.

"I'm going. You all shouldn't. It'll be too dangerous-." I got cut short.

"She is our friend too." She responded.

I sighed exasperated, "Just don't get in my way."

"Alright. Let's go get Gale." Enoch begun.

"You guys are going where exactly?" Madison asked sipping from a smoothie a few feet away.
