The realm of dragons (3)

[ Seraphina's POV ]

"Ugh…" I groaned when the wagon jumped, and I nearly tumbled with the boxes that were stacked around me.

When Grosk agreed to take me to Graike, he said the road to the capital was dangerous and that I needed to hide.

I didn't think traveling in a closed wagon would be a problem. I foolishly imagined napping on a cushioned bench or at least a layer of grass on the ground, but this was pure torture. The floor was hard, and the road was bumpy – if I could even call it a road. Did those dragon people not hear about putting rubber on wheels or something else that would absorb the impacts? Suspension on wheels would be good also.

'Lizard people,' Kiera corrected me dryly while stretching her black wings. This privacy meant she didn't need to hide under my coat anymore.

Grosk gave me some food and water, but neither I nor Kiera found that edible or sanitary. Luckily, I had my dimensional pouch with supplies.
